    Unreal- no clear instruction on how to pick items up, was picking something heavy up and the shop was closing so I parked and they knew I had to carry something heavy and I didn’t have time to drive round to the pick up area, would not help me by lending or using a trolley. Instead I was made to carry it, suggested to pick the 18.9 kg massive box up and as a result fell over outside the store…and not one of them came out to help. They pretended not to notice as again it was 5.40 pm and there was a women taking a long time to order so they were too busy trying to hurry her. Although she saw me fall backwards with a fridge on top of me. I already had to drive from Leeds to Newcastle as this fridge cooler could not be delivered, then to try and navigate Newcastle to Eldon square with the bus lane is stressful if you don’t know where you going and takes time, so I had no choice but to carry it. Although it was 5.40 pm so if I had have gone around for my safety I’m sure they could have waited, instead it was suggested I carried it. I had healed boots on. I think it’s ridiculous at the best of time Argos has limited stock and no delivery, but I will be issuing a formal complaint as if you aren’t going to give pick up instructions at least you should help women by themselves when there isn’t time to go to the correct pick up area and clearly carrying that load manual handling was not correct.

    very bad service ! Yesterday I bought headphones from this shop with 2 year extra insurance protection for 10 pounds. I checked it and I don't like it bcos I experienced eco sound while using earphones. Today Early morning I went to the Shop one of your lady staff just ask me one single question, that why do you want to return this product and I said I don't like it. Just on that single question she judged me very badly. She did not ask any single reason like, why don't you like this product . Later When I was trying to explain her reason, she said that I am making new stories. Is this the way to Judge customer ? Genuinely I am very upset with this kind of behaviour and talk. She suggests me to sell product on ebay ? Is that way to serve customers? I spent 50 pounds to get my earphones, and that's what they gave me. I am very badly upset and hurt by the way she treated me. She alleged me that I was making stories and I was lying. If I was lying, check the product which I have submitted in your shop, and if I am lying don't give me money back as well. I have returned all bills and product to your shop. I seriously think, you need to take action on this matter. It's my humble request to give me alternative solution. Hope to hear from you soon!

    Picked up a baught item. Only to get disrespect ed and thrown on the desk(table). Followed by and energy zapping hungry, Some female. Friday 2 o'clock. Made the whole process of buying and getting a refund about 40mins. She had no overall understanding of the system or any logic. no customer service skills. Overall a bad experience. Missed out on a sale and will probably have to repackage the product. Waste of time and energy. Not very efficient at all. Never again.

    Bought item no.1 at Argos - came defective. Returned item to shop, got refund on a gift card (no replacement available). Used gift card to buy item no.2 - broke down 3 months later and kept putting my electricity board down. Returned to shop, got refund on gift card (unsafe model). Bought item no.3 - on assembly noticed a major part was not from the model I bought so would not fit. Request replacement part and agreed delivery time - system cancels delivery and no warning, so stayed at home 3h waiting for nothing... now another 3 days waiting for supplier to deliver spares. Will they collect the wrong part? No, not really, I will have to call the council truck to come and collect their rubbish! Although the staff in the shop are very nice, the quality of the products is utterly rubbish. A waste of time, money and environmental resources. I will not ever buy from Argos again!!!!

    Absolutely disgusting service.no arrows on floor to tell you which way to enter payment area,snotty staff then have a go at you for coming in wrong end! Then when you pay they slam receipt down on desk.extremely rude staff quite clearly don't want to be there. In complete contrast,Argos at the arnison centre have pleasant staff,maybe Argos Eldon square could send their staff down for a lesson in manners! AVOID THIS STORE.

    It is located in the ground floor of eldon square. Spacious and the place equipped with electronic self kiosk and physical counters if there is a concern or trouble finding products. Very helpful staff and the turn around time is very fast after purchase to collection. The place has delivery and same day collection if the stock are available.

    Absolute farce I ordered 6 items from argos and this farce started that I could not have items delivered as one items was not available to be delivered. However the Web site did not give any reason to this. When I went over I on Friday i was told not all the items were in stock and so I agreed to call back now on the Web site all items where shown as in stock. I was told I could go to the collections point t and do a car pick upi managed to get the items to the car all. Yesterday I was I recieved a notification that my last item was in today I wasn't to car collection and told I had to go to the counter in store as the argued that they could no issue the item. I have mobility issues can climbing stairs was not .y idea of dun at the counter the staff argued black was white that there was mo car collection for any item that was not over size or was not suitable to carry via eldon squareyet on Saturday they clearly stated this was possible le. The staff completely unhelpful argumentative and out and out arrogant .I will have have seco d thoughts ever using g Argis again more so when I could have got the same items £15 cheaper from John Lewis

    Incompetent and rude! Returned a pre paid package through DPD and Argos showed up as a drop of point. As soon as I walk in the shop cherry ( looked at the ne tag) told me that it is too heavy and they can't process it due to size protocol. I asked her what the limit is and she repeated 3 times that they can't take it but won't tell me what is the limit. After I insisted I found out that the limit is 20 kg but my package is 14.5 then she tells me that I still can't drop it due to size ( limit was 60 by 60 by 120 ) and she insist that I have to measure it not her and gives me a lineard without any markings in it. I had to explain that the package is 30 by 30 by 60. But she still insists that I need to prove to her by measuring it in front of her. Finally they accepted the package but told me that it might be refused. I won't be shocked if the package goes missing. I understand that it is not easy work but If the staff are not happy to move heavy packages change jobs. Your company offers a service and handling packages is part of your job do it or find something else. Loads of students would love these jobs.

    After purchasing a lot for Christmas and struggling to carry everything a lovely lady called Lyndsay had just finished her shift and offered to help carry my stuff to my car she’s a total credit to your team and thought she needs some recognition not just for going above and beyond as an employee but for being a lovely person too thank you again Lyndsay

    Went to click and collect and was given a lesser but similar item (labelled with wrong product code). Would've been a hassle to get refunded if I hadn't noticed there and then. Now unable to get what I had initially bought as the price has gone up.

    Very helpfull staff. Went in today to buy a new phone. There was an issue with the self service machines that would not allow payment. However they went on their computers and a solution within 5 mins very good service and helpful staff

    Received excellent service yesterday when I visited this store with a faulty item,I had been directed to attend the store and informed the Manager would exchange the item following a telephone to customer services. Helen the Manager pointed out that I had been misinformed and this was also evident when viewing the policy leaflet instore. Helen allowed me to make some phone calls and after some negotiation with a senior Manager, Helen agreed to exchange the item. Helen and the instore team went above and beyond to assist and a member of staff gave me a bottle of water from her locker! **10/10 all round especially to Helen**

    I last went to this Argos on the 19/03/21 and experienced the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The manager was incredibly rude about an error on Argos's behalf and refused to give me a refund due to covid.

    This is the 2nd time I've been in this store the staff are rude and lazy, I asked if I could see the product which was the size of a hand and the lady said they do not show products due to keeping staff free to serve customers, however there were no customers in the store and about 4 members of staff not doing much, the staff at this store need re training in what is good customer service, I've worked in customer service for over 20 years myself,most of the staff here just seem miserable , and really unhappy, I will be avoiding this store in future

    I visited here thinking it's a store where I can actually view and buy the products, but was very much disappointed to see that it's just a pick up center and you need to place orders from their website only. The only good part is that the products here are mentioned as 'immediate pick up' or similar just to indicate the available in the store. I wish it was an experience store too.

    While shopping at the Eldon Square branch, the salesperson suggested I get an Argos card. I told them that I don't work and I'm a student and I don't want my credit to be damaged, but she said no, it's not a problem and today they answered that the card will not be issued to you. Educate yourself so that they don't give wrong information. You are very amateur and unprofessional.

    I purchased a dishwasher online from Argos’s website and I payed for delivery and installation. I waited 3 weeks for delivery and when it arrived the installation company said there is no parking because I live in the city Center therefor the are unable to come up and install it. The worst part is that they could’ve inform me 3 weeks earlier and I wouldn’t wait and miss a day at work. And when I called the customer service they didn’t even apologise for the incident. After this Argos set another date which is 3 weeks after my previous delivery date. It so frustrating as they didn’t even bother to rush my delivery and installation as an apology for what happened.

    Argos telephone & online helps useless, but the staff in the Eldon Square branch are always lovely & helpful. Even when its busy they smile & do their best. Exchanged a broken controller for me today no problem. Do their best under difficult circumstances, especially when its busy.
