Just wonderful place for spiritual practice. Calmness of the place is touching and one have to visit again. The place is clean and the Ashram food is just awesome. Please be here, in this place and be with nature and God. The place is about 50 km from Kolkata, and will take about 2 hours (minimum) time to reach, by car. There are ample car parking space.

Nimpith Ramkrishna Ashram is located in Nimpith, after Baruipur. It is a more or less 2.5 hour drive from Kolkata. The roads leading to it are very narrow and congested, so be aware when bringing your own car or bike. As such the ashram was beautiful. It is located just beside the road. Cars can be parked on the roadside without any issue. The complex is quite big as well. There is a school just opposite to it, and when we went the school had either just closed or it was lunch time, so flocks of children were there as well. We spent quite a lot of time here, and it was quite peaceful. Also in lunch time we availed their bhog. It was tremendous. Only a token amount needs to be given. Also one can donate money as well so if anyone wants they can do that. We also saw people staying here. Bit that details i cannot give. Quite recommended this place.

Today i will share some photos which few people get chance to see. The best timing to visit the Nimpith Ashram is Winter season. The beauty can only be tasted during winter season. Many varieties of flowers are take care of by the ashram personal. Also you can buy from their nursery. Most welcome here with family to spend a quality time.

4km from Jaynagar Majilpur Railway Station. A perfect place for a 1 day trip and if you want to extend it for more than that, book the Ramkrishna Ashram guest house in Kaikhali 32km from the ashram beside Matla River. Auto's are frequent on that route (varies from ₹450-₹500/-). Photos of the guest house and it's view has also been listed, check it out.

Beautiful place. You will love this place at the first instance. The place has a beautiful temple where offering to lord ramkrishna is made every day along with chanting and prayers. Main temple closes at 12.30 pm and opens at 3.30 pm at evening. The place is calm quite and serene. The maharaj's will greet you with smile. Lunch or prasadam is available against e mere donation of ten rupees. The surroundings have a farm, sarada ashram, bee keeping centre, goshala, krishi vikas kendra and a school.

Nimpith is a census town within the jurisdiction of the Jaynagar police station in the Jaynagar II CD block in the Baruipur subdivision of the South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The main motive of Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith was to help people by solving generic problems, like poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, illness. Over time, Nimpith Ashram worked on almost every possible problem. Swami Buddhanandaji Maharaj founded Sri Ramkrishna Ashram, Nimpith in 1960. The goal was to serve the distressed, the deserted and the destitute as adorable Shiva in the obscurity of the Sundarbans. The Ashram had virtually waged a ceaseless war against poverty, hunger, ignorance and social injustice, though scanty were its resources. Know more

The Ashram is located at Nimpith, a place about ten kilometres away from the Jaynagar Majilpur station. Apart from the temple, where worship and offerings to Thakur Ramkrishna takes place at regular intervals throughout the year, they have schools, Health centre etc. They are also engaged in various agricultural and allied activities and specially propagating organic agriculture.

Sri Ramkrishna Ashrama is a Non-Governmental Organization, started by Swami Buddhanandaji in 1960. Though the Ashram is not a Branch of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, but it follows the same ideals and ideologies. It is a member centre of South 24 Paraganas Ramakrishna Vivekananda Bhava Prachar Parishad of Belur Math, and follows their guidelines. The Ashrama is situated at Nimpith in Jaynagar of South 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. The Ashrama has 3 branch centres at Kaikhali, Jhargram and Bardhaman.

It is very well maintained and beautiful with much greenery. The rooms of the ashram are very neat and clean. You can get a meal (bhog) everyday 12:30 pm onwards, from here which is very simple but good, and consists of rice, daal, 2-3 curries, payesh, chutney and sweets. You can reach here via auto from Jaynagar Majilpur station, though the road is in a very bad state. The distance is 2 km.
