Very nice and helpful people. It was our first and probably our last time at this restaurant as we were driving from East to South. The wrap was delicious. The coffee was great. They helped us to find a place to pray as well. Recommend it to anyone who is around the area.

Best Gyro/Döner I’ve had on the East Coast. Very fresh, including the vegetables. The meat was juicy and full of flavor and the pita was perfect level of crunchy-ness for pita. The Turkish coffee was hot, as it should be, perfect smooth and strong take. No extremes, it was well balanced and Every sip was better then the next, I will be back many times in the future when I move here. 5/5

First time visiting this place and I left satisfied 😋 Welcoming and friendly owner who helped me figure out what I should try and it was so damn good! I chose #1 which is the Doner Kebab meal, which included the beef/lamb on a bed of rice, accompanied with salad, and pita bread with hummus & sour cream. I also chose their yogurt drink which was very fitting with the meal. The food was made promptly which is probably because I was the only one there but regardless the food was very flavorful and satisfying. Definitely will come back!

I couldn’t believe to have found a real authentic Turkish cafe/restaurant in TN! The food was homemade by the sweet owners: hummus, baba ganoush and couscous salad are so light, fresh and have a personal twist; sarma stuffed grape leaves appetizers are so refreshing and packed with flavor; pistachio baklava was heaven…yum!!!

Wait I got a doner here. I spent five years in Europe, and over there the doner kebabs just have a certain flavor. I’ve had many gyros stateside trying to find that taste again. The Turkish market is the closest I’ve ever found to my overseas taste. I wish they had chili sauce like doner shops in England have. 5 for the food, 2 for the facility.

I got the Sultans plater #3 and my family all got Doner kebab plater #1. The food was great to taste except 1 item on the Sultans plater that I did not like it was not listed when I looked up each name individually it was sweet and looked like rainbow apple sauce. The restaurant was a friendly environment, it was small with pictures of Turkey. We were welcomed in and the owners were ready to help. However I look places up before going so had an idea of what I wanted before arriving. So the 2 stars is for the foods taste as well as the friendliness of the staff. The missing stars are because I felt shorted on the meat with my plate and portion based off the pictures so that was a disappointing. The #1 is also a bit deceiving because there is actually a pile of rice under it so you are not getting all the meat (gyro) that is pictured. You also go get your drink from a cooler and you clean up your own table when finished setting the plates on the counter. However you pay after you eat so they can put a tipping scale on your receipt for the meal they simply put on the plate. The tipping scale is as if you went to a restaurant and were served food, drinks, and table cleared, but that is not the case. So again the food was good to taste but the portions are small and the tip is odd for the way it's set up. Don't let the pictures decive you. We do recommend with you knowing what I shared above. As you can see from my picture the meat is SMALL compared to the other items on the plate and photos online.

I moved to Knoxville four months ago, and this is my favorite meal I've had here! SO good, filling, refreshing and affordable. I haven't even finished my meal and I'm already looking forward to coming back! Thank you!

My wife and I have been coming here for years and it's always amazing. The food is incredible and the people that work there are always so friendly. Doesn't matter what you order, it's gonna be good.

I don’t live in Knoxville, but always find time to stop here when passing through. The food is delicious, very fresh and reasonably priced. I don’t normally eat meat, but make an exception here. The doner wrap and baba ganoush are my favorites. A must-stop. Either on a road trip or whether you live in Knoxville. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful visit! I took my daughter's mother-in-law who is visiting from Turkey along with our 2-year old grandson. The owners were so gracious and we had the most wonderful visit. And this had to he about the best Turkish food I have ever had!

Atmosphere isn't a big deal here, it's a storefront diner with a small selection of middle eastern grocery in the back. It's well lit and clean. But the food is a whole other thing and absolutely worth the trip. Bright, fresh flavors, prepared right on the other side of the counter. I had the Iskender Kebab, very satisfying. Others had the Doner Kebab and compared it favorably to a good gyro. NOTE: servings are generous, go hungry.

This is a true "Mom and Pops" Turkish place. The food is absolutely wonderful, fresh, and made with love- You can taste it in every bite. Cost is very reasonable, and the servings are large- Feels like you've been invited over to a friend's parents house. The restaurant itself is very clean and attractively decorated. Your hosts are very lovely kind welcoming people.

There are other Mediterranean food options in town, one in particular, that garner a lot of attention. They are fine establishments and provide a solid product/experience. None of them come close to the Turkish Market though. This is the most flavorful and thoughtful menu. On top of that, the family/staff are very warm and happy to answer your questions. Knoxville doesn’t have the ethnic food options that a major/coastal city offers, so we are very lucky to have this place and I hope it’s here forever!

As anyone who follows my reviews knows, I only give five stars to places I find truly exceptional. If a place provides a great experience, I give it four stars. Four stars, however, will not do justice to this restaurant. It was perfect. The food was absolutely incredible. The prices were good, the portions were big enough, the service was very friendly, and the meal was served in a very short amount of time. They have excellent baklava. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Absolutely worth five stars.

I lived in Germany and ate Döner regularly there and I also lived with a Turkish family who cooked Turkish food regularly so I can honestly say this was the real deal and exceeded my expectations! I am happy to have found this gem in my hometown. My toddler kept saying “Yum, Mama!” The baklava was also delicious. We will come back for sure!

It's a family business. Very nice people. Food is good. I've been maybe four times. Very consistent quality. The atmosphere is kind of basic. Tables and chairs, homelike is the closest I can come. Still well worth a visit.

The best turkish kebabs in the region! Knoxville tends not to have that great of food variety, so the Turkish Market & Deli was a great surprise. Often lower quality kebabs can be dry but the kebabs here are far from dry. I've had kebabs in England and various parts of the U.S. and so far Turkish Market & Deli is the best. I recommend getting the platter or the iskender kebab (which has a tomato sauce), rather than the wrap. Also check out their candy selection, they have some good imported foods!

Decided to try this place out. Got the #1 and it sure was the best! The meat was properly seasoned, the salad had the perfect crunch and dressing flavor. Good flavor on the pita. I'd say this is definitely a place to come often, and it's pretty authentic with the food matching some really good places in Houston.

Consistently one of the best spots in West Knoxville for a delicious and inexpensive meal. I've been coming here for years and it's always great and the owners and staff are always super friendly. We usually share a veggie platter and döner platter which gets you a little bit of everything.
