D nick is the truth. He has brought me through my journey of the big chop. I started medium short then short to all the way off. It might sound easy for the barber to cut your hair but, it really takes a skill. Not only do you have to cut it properly to style but it should be shaped appropriately to the person's face. I have seen some people really waste their money at the barbershop because the barber obviously didn't possess the skill to look at his canvas and understand the assignment.

My first time going a few weeks ago & I was pleased w/ my clean up/ lining, just felt the price was too much. Felt like I was charged for a hair cut & not a clean up. I return for a second appointment & I requested the same service.... clean up/ lining, it came time to pay only to learn that the price went up again ! I questioned it & was told some of his customers don't wash their hair & it causes problems w/ the clippers, well that shouldn't apply to me because I'm not getting a haircut ! When I made the appointment, that should have been said then, but wasn't! Not a good look or feeling. I will shop around for another place to get my services because I feel like I was taken advantage of. If that's how he wants to conduct business so be it, but I could have been a loyal regular customer. I always have options & will utilize them in this case. I like patronizing black business, but often times they cause you to go elsewhere & pay for services with others when you conduct yourself in an unprofessional manner ! I'm very disappointed!

Mike has been cutting my hair for 7 years now & I have one of the cleanest fades in the city. I'll argue anybody about that. All of the barbers are top notch people and professionals. The shop is also family friendly, and hosts several customer, family, community, and political events throughout the year. 5 Stars. 10/10.

Avoid Nyree, or really just this place if you’re a walk in or new there. Nyree has cut my hair twice now. Unevenly both times. The front corners higher and farther back on one side. She did even it out after I asked her the second time. But she had to fade it down to skin to do so. The most frustrating part is that I scheduled w another barber my second time, but when I arrived he said he didn’t work w my texture and that Nyree was the only barber available. —So it seems like if you know a barber there and can schedule w them personally you can get a good haircut. I’ve seen them do good work. But if you don’t then you get to go to the barber whose chair is somehow always free…Either way, not reliable. My mistake for going a second time.

This was a HORRIBLE experience for me!! I walked in with 3-3/12 inches of hair; asked for a trim, clean-up, and tapered back with a line. I walked out with a buzz-cut. Ireland should not disrespect the profession of barbering by calling herself one. I stressed that I did not want a buzz-cut THREE times!!! I sat in her chair and she immediately hacked off my hair on top to about a 1/2 inch length!!! I asked what in the hell have you done?!? She tells me “oh, I’m shaping it”. At that point, I had no choice but to let her try to bring the sides and back into some form of symmetry with the top. She butchered the sides and back, no blending whatsoever!! My hair was way closer than I asked for or wanted!! I had gaps and clumps all throughout!!! I finally asked her to please stop cutting and taper and line the back and sides. She did not know the difference between a taper and a fade. She did not know what a baseline is nor how to judge how high or low to line my neck. I literally had to get a mirror and show her. She did not know what a “natural” neck lining was. It appears she only knows how to do “high fades” Needless to say, I was livid and near tears when I left. Her only explanation was “Oh, I guess I misunderstood what you wanted.” I told her 2x that I only wanted a trim to even my hair and I wanted a back taper. I stressed 3x that under no circumstances did I want a buzz cut. If you are truly a licensed, trained, and experienced barber, how is it possible that you not know the basics?!?!? Being a black woman, I made the horrible mistake of letting a white woman touch my hair!!! Ireland should be dismissed from that shop and sent back to school, to at least learn the basics of barbering! Oh, and the lovely cherry on top, she charged me $55.00!!! 😡

First time going here and it was phenomenal. I actually was last minute and couldn’t schedule an appointment ahead of time , so I was in a rough situation because a cut was definitely needed lol. Although I couldn’t schedule an appointment in time , the barber named T.Will gave me a time that same exact day in his schedule to get me a nice cut. Life saver !! My cut was so nice and the service was quick and professional. He kept me good company and held great conversations during my cut ! It’s clean inside and everyone there had great attitudes. I DEFINITELY will be back again ! I would highly suggest this spot ! It’s great vibes !
