We arrived at 7Pm and gave up and went home at 1:30 AM the next day. Never got a room in the ER. Never saw a doctor. Have no idea what the test results were. As we were surrounded by coughing, sneezing, vomiting folks (many of whose were not wearing masks) if we werent infected that will be a miracle. My wife is a kidney transplant recipient with a suppressed immune system. We were forced to sit in the hallway in next to the parking garage as we will offered no isolation. Under prior management you were one of the best. Now your are the worst.

Transported there by ambulance because I had become unconscious following a fall hitting my head face first on a tile floor. I received a laceration above my eye requiring 6 stitches and fractured ribs with a broken pinky. I was sent to triage and immediately taken into admissions. The EMT reassured me I would be treated soon. After being admitted I was placed in the ER waiting room in a wheelchair with a neck brace, a bleeding laceration above my eye for over 12 hours. The nursing staff refused to give me any help with my eye. My husband after being denied assistance found a patient treatment room and got the needed supplies to attempt to stop the bleeding and cover the wound. In addition to that after a 5 hour wait, by my husband's initiation it was discovered the admitting nurse forgot to order my scans. Around the 11 hour wait period my daughter requested to speak to the charge nurse. It was only at this point was I treated. He was extremely nice and helpful. He got right on having my stitched up, although the nurse that had to stitch it wasn't to happy as she had been one of the nurses stating she was to busy to help me for hours. She never spoke to me one time during the procedure. Another nurse was put on my care and she advised me that several hours prior to her helping me that I was actually being admitted to the hospital. She said they were working on getting me a bed. After an hour or so she said they had the room but it needed cleaning. After another hour wait she came and got telling us that she had to go clean the room herself to get in me. 12 HOURS UNBELIEVABLE, POOR CARE, DENIED HELP, LEFT TO TREAT MYSELF, NO STAFF AND NO BEDS, DENIED WATER UNTIL EVENING CHARGE NURSE WAS CALLED 11 HOURS LATER. Once I was actually admitted the care was exceptional and excellent. The RN Brooke and my nurse Frank were very nice, attentive, and concerned with my care and well-being. The doctor's were nice however they didn't read my chart very good to see I have been having issues of passing out and other symptoms since January 2022 and that I had gone through a battery of test with Ascension seeing numerous physicians within their practice. With that said, they decided my blood pressure was low. They told me to follow up with my primary doctor and go slow when standing up. I was very disappointed in the physicians care. Called and left message with phone number listed in Ascension's response. Could not take the call as recording stated representatives working remotely.

Went in to the ER with a chest injury. Was treated in triage and sent for X-rays within 15 minutes of being there. They took X rays of my elbow even after I told them I did not want/need them because it had a scrape on it. I was seated back in the emergency room. I set in the emergency room for over 2 hours struggling to breathe. What makes it worse is that even the people that were there before me weren’t being treated. I didn’t see anyone being treated. The only person that received treatment was a man that was brought in by the police. After two hours of waiting I went to ask about my X-ray results where I was informed that they had not gotten them back yet. I told them to remove the IV I was leaving.

Triage was horrible how do you not throw up but keep a mask on when you’re there for nausea. I had an IV put in my arm and meds given which I’m glad I had, 5 hours later left AMA…. Everyone with the exception of 1 burr and a couple of Nurse’s aide we actually helpful, pleasant and accommodating. Fir the most part HOSPITALS are over worked and cause a bad review when the tell you 4 hours is not long to wait and you are triaged in the full waiting room because there are no beds… I get your over worked ladies and gentlemen but I am a sick person coming in to get treatment… And I put my pants on the same way you do every day one leg at a time so keep your nose out of the air and be kind it will get you a lot further in your day and a lot better patience! As for me don’t know that I would come back if no changes are made… And if your burnt out get out of the field!!! You are paid you take care of me whenever I am not feeling well so I expect to be taken care of. Granted I know if the shoe were on the other foot you would want someone to be kind to you when you don’t feel good! Take that in consideration with your next patient!

Not right. I was in a car accident and taken to the er by ambulance. The nurses were nice and did everything the dr ordered. I went for mri and came back to room as the nurse gave me pain meds by iv. The dr came in and said everything was good and let me go home. But 5 min after my morphine shot another nurse came in with discharge papers and yanked my iv out and told me I couldn’t set in room I barely got my shirt on as he pointed towards the end of the hall and told me that there’s the waiting room. I walked out of the hospital with my firearm in my hands and the security guard asked me if I had a ride. I told them no and she said ok be safe. Not 15 min after my iv pain meds were injected. This don’t seem right to me.

My daughter went to St. John's emergency department due to Xanax withdrawal and severe back pain. They refused to x-ray her back. Turns out she has a ruptured disc. I asked for a mental health evaluation. Again, St. John's refused. Turns out, she has Borderline Personality Disorder, and she is currently in a psychiatric hospital. Benzodiazepine withdrawal is extremely dangerous. She wasn't given ANY medication on discharge except for nausea. The ER doctor was very rude. They didn't want to be bothered with her. I got her proper care through another hospital. I would never consider this place again. They are absolutely horrific.

I was welcomed into the ER and right away they attended my needs. After about 10 minutes waiting they took me right away to get a CAT scan. They attempted to get me right away into the radiology department but they could not take me because they were all booked up. They gave me a form and a number to call which I did the next morning. The number I was given was not recognized by anyone I called! I finally got a lovely girl on the phone and connected me to radiology department where the lady who answered the phone recognized my name and scheduled me for the following day. I was elated that this girl miraculously remembered my name. I would easily recommend St John's ER department.

This was worse experience ever I will never go to St Johns ever again. I can not recommend for anyone else to go either. 7 1/2 hours and was never seen. Finally, I called my daughter to pick me up, then I came home and trusted God to heal me. At John’s ER is a nightmare. The doctor and nurses locked themselves in a room and did not do much of anything for 7 1/2 hours. I almost good morning believe what I saw. A doctor and 2 nurses locked in a room not helping anyone. I worked in medical off and on since 1977 and I’ve never seen this at an ER occur; NOT ever! They don’t even deserve one star.

5 hrs of our lives we will never get back. Initially we were told "be prepared to wait 7-8 hrs". Only a handful of patients in the ER, probably 3 at most. Zero ambulances, so I thought perfect time to come. Although we were not able to see the rooms in the ER to determine how busy they actually were, it seemed relatively quiet around 8:00 am. This visit was for my husband, hopefully if I am in need of emergency care in the future, I will go to St. Frances.

I went to the emergency room with a moderate anaphylactic allergic reaction. The medical team lost the blood work they took and they did not have records of any of the medication they administered. Once they gave me an IV and administered said medication they asked me to head into the waiting room. I stood up and told the nurses that I was feeling dizzy. They told me to keep walking and I ended up passing out for approximately 30 seconds. After spending several hours in the waiting room, I was moved to a bed in the emergency room hallway. There, I heard many of the nurses mocking patients and I thought that was very unprofessional to do in front of another patient. I will not be returning to St.John.

Although I spent several hours in the ER, I felt like I was being cared for the whole time. Every 20 to 30 minutes someone would come to do some exam or test - blood test, blood pressure, ekg, listen to heart and lungs, or just give an update on what was happening. I never felt like I had been forgotten. When the doctor came by to tell me his conclusion and give me instructions on release, he was very clear and answered all my questions.

I walked into the St John emergency department with facial injuries after a fall. I was taken to a triage station within a few minutes. My history taken and wounds treated. From there to CT, a patient room, and exam by ER physician. After CT results verified and reported to me, I was discharged. In and out in 45 minutes. My friend drove me home. Being early am, the emergency department was very quiet. Nurses, technicians and physicians were friendly and helpful. As a retired nurse, I am familiar with hospital procedures. My treatment and discharge materials were explained to my satisfaction.

While waiting over 7.5 hours to be seen I over heard the front desk woman & mid 40s security guard openly mocking patients who were in pain and needing assistance. Watched this front desk lady roll her eyes and scoff at a man literally crying in pain. Was also informed they do not have patient advocates. Not good that the staff is mocking patients. Felt very horrible to be talked to in such a degrading way while in pain.

The doctor was exceptional. Not sure why it took over 8 hours to see one but the one I saw was amazing. I did end up going home with an IV still in my arm which was a bit negligent on their part. Never removed one of those myself before

Correction: We got to the hospital maybe around 3:30pm and was dismissed some time after 10:00, for a simple check on my son's swollen cheek and lip. He was given a ivy profane, and had his vitals checked. He was able to move his mouth, evidence of his jaw functioning properly, and was sent home after 10:00. The staff was nice, courteous, helpful and professional. I don't think it takes over seven hours to check my little wounded son. I have mixed feelings about my experience. We probably had about 2 people left in the waiting room, when we were called to go in.

Very, very nice and patient nurses and Doctors. Quick and willing to help at all times. Takes a little to long In the ER triage center. Wish they could have 2 ER sections separated so it wouldn't take so long. Maybe even more patient rooms for when they get full so that patients don't have to wait so long for a room. Like a floor with extra rooms that can be opened up where patients can temporarily stay till they get rooms open on the floor they need to be on. Other than that the nurses and Doctors never made u feel like u were a number or that u were forgotten about.

I check in 10 minutes before my appointment. Waited about 3-4 minutes and was called up. Waited just a couple minutes after taking my vitals and Dr. Liu came in. Pleasant man, friendly and very knowledgeable about my prior medical history He was thorough, very informative and answered all my questions and concerns. The whole appointment lasted maybe 20 minutes. I felt better when i was leaving than when I first got there. Excellent staff interaction.

Was treated great! Unfortunately the E.R was quite busy, but each staff member greeted me as I was wheeled past on the gurney/wheelchair. Pleasant smiles and courteous bedside manners! Would definitely consider making this my hospital should I need one for the future!

I was very pleased with the staff at St John. We was there about 10 hours but the room was filled with the sick. The nurses were doing to best they could and I truly appreciate them all. Thank you for taking great care of me . Just because we were there that long doesn't mean those doctors and nurses wasn't doing all they could to help us. We all need to just take a step back and realize that they are overworked and we need to let them know that we appreciate all that they do to help us get better. I love the people at St John's. Great job well done. Thank you so much

The floors in X-ray and CT room were filthy along with hallways to those rooms from emergency waiting area. Point of contact places were not sanitized. Staff pulled their own COVID masks down. I waited 6 1/2 hours before getting room. Doctor only gave reports of X-rays and Ct, did not examine me. I was not given any verbal of what to do if continued problems. Lady in waiting room asked for food and was told no eating in waiting room. Why wasn’t she told overflow waiting room had vending machines? Sad. She was elderly.

I could not have asked for better care at St. John’s. The ER nurses and Nurse Practitioner were outstanding in every sense of the word. I was very ill and in extreme pain. They got me some relief within 20 minutes of arrival and I was swiftly responded to. I do not regret going there and will utilize St. John’s again if needed. My husband and I both thought I had received the best standard of care possible and I could not be more pleased. Thank you to the nurses and staff.
