Came to ER and got back quickly but after that it went down hill. Have been back in a room for 4 hours now and still nothing! I will never come here again and the staff that we had in room when we went back were horrible! They were sitting down at their station and talking very loudly and not being considerate that it was 3am and now 4am and still the same. Went to close our door and they opened and said it had to be left open. The staff we encountered were not professional at ALL! Update: went back out to tell them I was shutting the door because it was so loud and one of the nurses rudely said “that’s fine I’ll leave. Ok go back to your job! They were ALL sitting around just chatting about how she went to the chiropractor and her life and could hear the ENTIRE conversation! At 7am was shift change and the nurses now have been AWESOME and communicating with us about what’s going on unlike the crew from the night shift.

We have a 3 week old infant having issues with breathing, they took the X-ray and other tests but have been sitting here waiting for almost 4 hours now with no answers. Apparently they have had several of the results ready but “have to wait to hear the results from the doctor”. We just want to know our newborn is okay so we can get him back home in his own environment.

They need to revamp this whole hospital and every hospital and make them get in touch with reality they have become disconnected from the community. You guys need to be trained in veteran mental health and mental health in general. Combat veterans such as myself don't want to have a person that centers us and keeps us calm in hige crowds. However that's not a reality for most. If you force the person who is there to keep the veteran calm you create a dangerous and explosive situation but you guys don't read these reviews and don't care. When will veterans stop being forgotten and start being loved and remembered by our country on more then two days a year.

After losing a friend a few years ago by a hospital's protocol that ended his life and said it was c19, because the medical industry sold out. Warning stay away from these hospitals. Any place that require you to wear a mask is gaslighting you and does not have your best intrest.

Been waiting for 7 hours and counting for ultrasound results and cat scan just to see if my little sister’s pancreas is okay. Have asked for Tylenol about 30 minutes ago and nobody has come to help yet. Love seeing all of the nurses converse and laugh instead of helping their patients. Edited- asked for Tylenol 2 more times and still haven’t gotten any this makes it 8 hours and counting.

St. Francis South provided professional care and life saving measures while I was fighting a deadly illness of septic streptococcus pneumonia. Nurse Wade on the 3rd floor was absolutely amazing. Always patient with me and took the time to explain everything. The Doctors were professional and they showed true compassion and commitment to seeing me through the most challenging illness I've ever endured. I truly appreciate St. Francis South and would highly recommend this hospital to anyone who is in need of quality care. Thank You Karen Hastings ☺️

Hello first i want to say a big thank you to all Medical staff! I know you have had another rough winter season with flu and covid and my family and I are prayinf for each of you. I was seen in the ER for dehydration and dizziness yes i got to the Busy over packed ER at 8:30pm i was triaged with in minutes was checked on frequently as they could i used the rest room got dizzy used call light in the bathroom had assistance immediatly got back to the ER room at 5:30pm 9 hrs later but that is not the nurse of front desk staffs fault i sat feeling sick of the sickness at hand but also sick to my stomach as i heard the front desk ladies get cussed out severl times ppl kept asking when we will be seen been here hrs the nurses were polite and professional and appologized for the wait. One lady came in for chest pain and kept going out side to smoke then come back to complain her symptoms were worsening? They would check her in triage and back to the waiting room one family came in and someone left a glass under the chair the foot of a little girl broke it the nursing staff came with a housekeeping cart and cleaned it up in no time . Very clean Er everyone was friendly and professional yes its a busy Er every hospital is right now so if your feeling sick please remeber many are so be nice to the Er staff they are doing their best. Those sick around the ER dont want to hear your profanity while kids are also listening if you can go out and chain smoke im not sure your no not sick enough for the ER in the first place? While back in the Er room i was given meds and fluids dr and nurses were amazing the Ct staff were also amazing and made me feel comfortable explained everything and why to calm my nerves. This ER may be busy but they done a fantastic job.... thanks SF- SOUTH TEAM

What I don't think people understand is how hard people are working to take care of everyone. I don't see any of the medical staff being lazy at St. Francis. If you want people to examine you or someone else correctly, it takes time. If you want them to rush through and get you in and out, then they may miss to take a swab or blood test to check for something else. Everyone in this world now demands things fast, well what they don't understand is if you want good service it takes time for things to be done right. Nope, I do not work for St.Francis or even work in the medical field, it takes someone who generally cares about doing things right to realize these things... I guarantee half of the working America sees a job just as a job, that's why they rush through things and make mistakes... If people would stop to care more to double check or triple check things than there would be less mistakes in the working employees. I understand sometimes we don't have that extra time, but I've learned I'd rather someone wait a little longer just so I know I took care of that customer correctly, verses not double checking and shoving them out the door as quickly as possible. You want fast service, then expect for more mistakes. You learn patience, then know you are more than likely to be that person waiting, yet understands it takes a little more time to make sure they diagnosed you right and it's worth the wait. I work with Semi’s, so don't even think I'm trying to stick up for family or my job itself. This world lacks patience and kindness now days, please be smarter and more understanding. They looked over my baby boy (8 months) that is my world along with my daughter and took the time to diagnose him right. Waited 4 hours to get help, but I would much rather wait to make sure they diagnosed my baby right, then have to go back to the hospital again or him have a serious issue no one tested for. I had got off work just before going and had work the next morning. People have to be more understanding these days, especially since we are lacking people to even work in the health field. Look they chose to help people as a living and ungrateful people want to just complain about one of the most important fields to work in. Think of others, besides yourself.... Hurry, hurry, hurry, and when things aren't done right you will get yelled at... Not smart people.

I had a good experience at Saint Francis South. I got right in to a room, but I had labored breathing and chest pressure. I was hooked up to everything to monitor. An x-ray was done after an hour or so. Then, other testing. It was concluded that I was stable with everything. The doctor and nurses were tentative and asked if I needed anything. I was then released. However, I still am having my decreased activity tolerance and chest pressure. I am assuming that will take Specialist care and further special exams that an ER can't provide. Overall, I left stable. That is their job.

Came in threw the Er for possible mini stroke. For right back and got CT and X-Ray done then got admitted. When I got moved to my room upstairs the bed was horrible! It was completely broken down leaning to the right side! They changed it out with a bed that was out in the hallway. When I got out of the bed the next morning I noticed that there was blood from someone else on the sheet! It was not my blood! Then I noticed there was something that looked like diarrhea on the blanket! I was admitted into the hospital as I am waiting to get an MRI done and today Sunday they tell me that their equipment is down! So now I have to stay here longer, paying for another day of in patient charges! Yes I know I came here for help but if their equipment was working I would not have to remain in patient for longer period. At this point I’m thinking the hospital should comp the extra night that I had to stay due to lack of equipment not working. Very disappointed in Saint Francis South this hospital is really going down hill.

I was here for 13 days in February, and this review is about my experiences in the following departments: ICU/Surgical, Observation Unit, Emergency Room. HOSPITAL: GENERAL Dr. Feighner is a godsend, and the hospital is blessed to have her. She was my hospital doctor for the first eight days of my treatment, and she always made herself available for any questions. She was so patient and thorough during our in-person meetings that I never needed to call or page, but it was super comforting having that option. She ended up being right in her suspicions of what was plaguing me, when certain ‘experts’ weren’t. I couldn’t have been in better hands. ICU/SURGICAL I spent eight of my days here. The bed is comfortable, the staff is respectful (they always knock) and the nurses and techs genuinely seemed to care when I was in pain. Many thanks to Michael, Kara, Brayden, Skye. OBSERVATION I was only here for one night, but the rooms are huge and gorgeous (for a hospital). The beds are top-notch and the TV is large. Thank you, Junie. I appreciate your kindness and assistance throughout my brief stay here. EMERGENCY ROOM I saved the worst for last because I didn’t want to take away from the tremendous efforts of the other departments. The ER is a disaster, starting with the receptionists. When you’re overseeing a waiting room filled with sick and injured people, don’t be so nasty when someone asks you a question. What, exactly, did we disturb you from? It sounded like you were having a party back there. Can you not comprehend that a festive atmosphere right next to the waiting room of an ER is tone-deaf at best; disgustingly wrong at worst? Had you been on our side of the party, you would have heard the angry comments and seen the repeated eyerolls from those of us waiting for your ‘help.’ To the ER ‘doctor’ who initially ‘treated’ me: You didn’t take my symptoms seriously and made me wait 10 hours in agony. Then you tried to blame the symptoms on medical marijuana poisoning. You were DEAD WRONG in your ‘diagnosis,’ and my 13-day hospital visit proved how clueless you were. Your reckless activism makes you a liability to the hospital, and you have no business being anywhere near sick people. Shame on you. The lone bright spot was LaDonna. Thanks for showing this department how patients should be treated. Despite my nightmare ER experience, I’m giving St. Francis South 5 stars, because the other departments were THAT amazing. To them, a huge THANK YOU from me and my family.

If you want to sit for 4 hours before being seen for heart issues then don't go here. St Francis is too big and can't do their job to help anyone. Crazy how they use a religious name to rip off and take advantage of. St Francis N is the worst hospital in Oklahoma bands down. The emergency room is managed horribly and understaffed. This place has been a problem for years. But since it's in Tulsa nobkdy cares. Even if a few people die In the er waring for help.....

Most unprofessional hospital. Doctors and nurses. Trying to give medication to a four year old without telling a parent why it was being prescribed. Nurse did not know, just that it was Doctors orders….from a Doctor that never even spoke to the parents. Be very cautious when selecting an ER. Avoid this one.

The ER is horrible. I brought my wife because she was in extreme pain and having difficulty breathing. After waiting an hour they kicked all non patients out of the waiting area. I had to leave my wife to wait by herself. The area is under an excessive heat warning so I couldn’t wait in the car. I had to leave the hospital and wait. This is unacceptable. I’ll update my review once my wife actually gets seen.

Gave birth to my baby, and the staff did wonderful with my emergency C-section. Everybody was kind and worked effectively and making sure that me and my baby survived. This all happened at shift change so it was great communication

They took great care of my Mom. They were all friendly and proffessional but Faith went above and beyond to help us navigate discharge complications. She was so compassionate and patient!! What a gem!! 💎

I have read some negative reviews about this place and I am shocked because those reviews don't match my experience. Maybe because I came here after having a terrible experience at Southcrest ER? My son was presenting with severe abdominal pain and vomiting. We had just left Southcrest ER about 1.5 hours earlier when they discharged him with very little effort on their part and a refusal to give him medicine for his pain. This ER treated us differently. We were triaged very quickly and they started an IV and gave him pain medicine while we waited (he was dehydrated from all the vomiting and he was in alot of pain). They had 2 couches in the lobby for those that needed to lie down which he had to use because laying down was easier on his pain. They took him back for a CT scan within the hour and then brought him back to the lobby where he was able to use the couch again. After about another hour, they called him back (he's 18 so I didn't go back with him) and gave him his diagnosis. He has kidney stones. They called in prescriptions for the kidney stones and for pain medicine and discharged him with instructions. Everyone we encountered was friendly and they actually cared enough to run tests until they found out what was wrong with him. I will be coming back to this place from now on. Stay away from the other place - these people are better all the way around. Their facilities, staff, and timing puts the others to shame! Thank you for helping my son when no one else would!

I’m sitting here in the ER NOW I’ve been here for over 3 hours ! I’m coughing up blood , I just had surgery on my throat at St Francis ( THATS THE ONLY REASON IM HERE AT THIS PLACE ) I’ve got the bleeding to slow down but I’ve only been called back to get my vitals and them start a IV so that u can’t leave this joke of a hospital ER ! My husband asked twice how long no answer! They said they was calling my ENT at 8:30 when we asked at 12:30 they are saying they haven’t heard back from the ENT ! His answering service told us to come here ! And there’s more door dash going in the back than patients . After I was here 7 hours I got to see a doctor he was very nice and caring but the nurses here are the not they are very rude ! And my surgeon called me the next morning from my husband calling his answering service and just like I thought they never called him at the ER but lied and told me they did and said they hadn’t heard back from him is y I had not been treated yet ! I pray that this hospital gets better for people do not deserve to be treated like this .

I am currently admitted here, literally experiencing the worst pain of my life and I have been asking for a nurse for 2 hours to get my medication to help relieve the pain. They said that it's shift change, that was 2 hours ago. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

Good morning. I wanted to let you know that our dad, Jim A, was released from Laureate after 11 days. We got him in a lovely facility in Broken Arrow, Bella Rose. We are currently in the process of moving our mom to the same facility, but into independent living. Dad has not had any more hostile or aggressive behavior, thank goodness! I can’t begin to tell you how much my family and I appreciate all you did for all of us Barb (especially dad) during our stay at St. Francis South. Someone like you makes such a difference at such a difficult time. We still talk about you daily 😊 From the bottom of my heart, thank you!

They provided an ultrasound over a lump in my breast and didn’t bother to verify my insurance. Had to pay 1400.00 instead of a 200 copay. Adding to my medical bracelet NO SAINT FRANCIS.

I was there in the ER department last night. The facility is very clean. The nursing staff is knowledgeable and kind. I wish the same could be said for respiratory therapy and the doctors. I went with unknown cause of shortness of breath and left with same diagnosis. The ER doc wants a specialist to see me this coming week. Most specialists you can't get an appointment into in less than a week. Then I am supposed to see my regular doctor also. The ER doctor did not want to treat me. I felt like he just wanted to pass the buck to another doctor. The NP on duty wanted to admit me but not the doctor. My opion don't ever waste your time going here.

I had a panniculectomy done at this facility on November 2nd. The only saving grace was an overnight nurse who I cannot remember her name and a house nurse who I spoke with on the phone. I began running a 102.1° fever the morning after my surgery. Shivering to the point my teeth chattered. They begin giving me Tylenol of various forms until my fever broke. Not 30 minutes after I arrived home I began to run 100.9° temp. I also found out my nickel allergy listed in my chart was ignored and surgical stainless Staples, which contain nickel, were used, most likely because they save time. I can't even wear earrings with Nickel in them. I'm still having pain in an area that the doctor didn't cut on but the pain is enough to take my breath. Not one person seemed too concerned about. that before I was released. I wasn't even offered suggestions on how to clean myself afterwards only being shown how to care for the drains. They also decided to fill me in on my aftercare while my boyfriend was out getting the car. I was not coherent enough to understand everything that nurse tried to tell me

Worst hospital I’ve ever dealt with. Rude PA Jason is a piece of garbage. His best medical advice was to sleaze my mother in law through the airport on a flight she may not survive and hope the airline won’t stop her. Also, he wouldn’t medically clear her or provide her with appropriate care.

Made me wait in the waiting room feeling like I was about to die wallowing in a pit of anxiety because I thought I was having a heart attack and they didn't take me seriously (it was something minor like a strained muscle) but I sat there for 5 hours until finally they're like you can go now nothing's wrong. Like obviously I'm fine by this point but just having to sit their with a needle in my arm or whatever it's called and the crowded room was just awful. They didn't even act like they cared about me. To make matters worse they said they covered all of my bills and fees and then I proceeded to get. A almost 1000 dollar bill in the mail over a month later for a bunch of things I had no idea I had to pay for even though they said I didn't owe anything. Yeah maybe I didn't owe anything to them but I owed to the lab and they weren't very transparent about it. That's extremely unfair to anyone.

Went here Monday night at 1130pm, was having breathing problems with short episodes where throat was blocking airway. After initial check in triage I had a 4hr wait. Because I was using cough drops to keep my throat soothed, I could keep them from occurring so they didn't see it happen and considered me stable. Eventually did have one in waiting room and even though I was making loud noises trying to breath and everyone in waiting room was looking at me it still wasn't noticed or considered serious and waited more. Finally called back at 330am taken to room, given chest xray, finding nothing. Again had been using cough drops to keep throat soothed because these episodes are very frightening but stopped using them and throat dried out and soon had one and doctor was able to witness. This was around 6am. This is why I'm giving 5 stars, doctor Cassandra Carr and the nursing staff were excellent, she diagnosed what seems to be larynospasm. They gave me some medications to soothe my throat, did a cat scan and transferred me to SF main for a Endo Scope. Had a great experience there also. Scope was negative but my throat had calmed down by then. I don't know how to thank any of them other than on here. Yes, very long wait but these doctors and nursing staff are doing great jobs under a lot of stress. I am very grateful they were there.

I had an Arthogram done by the radiology department and I just need to say thanks to the staff Elliot, Charlotte and Gina. I’ve had this done in the past at St Johns as a teen and it was horrible. I couldn’t move my shoulder for 2 weeks after the fact. I was terrified going into this. Tears were shed. I don’t have time to be down like that and I’m maxed out on pain following a car accident, thus the imaging. The staff was amazing in going out of their way to help make me comfortable and confident. It was over before I knew it (Thanks Elliot!) and even the soreness was minimal. I can’t emphasize enough how thankful I am for all of that start to finish. I highly recommend the radiology department here.

We brought my father in law in Wednesday and he was talking. He was asked if they could put him on a ventilator which he said yes. Was transferred to the main hospital by the time he got there he was brain dead. He sat in the ER at south for 3 hrs. My husband begging for help. Took me calling and raising heck to get someone to help him. I would not take my dog to SFS OR ANY OF THE SAINT FRANCIS HOSPITALS. Wish I could give them a zero! The main checking patients in was beyond rude. My father in law died in my opinion to their negligence

The nurses at this hospital are very rude and uncaring and in compassionate, and not willing to do their job. The tech were the ones doing all the work. They left bruises all over my arm from the BP pump. That was too tight and I told them repeatedly that it was too tight.. I was moved to a room with a broken bed and was not able they said to get another one. The morning I left the nurse was so rude to me that I had to call the main office and have something done about it.

Hospitals used to be a sterile place. One didn't use to put on masks when visiting a hospital. But it is different now. And they aren't serious about not spreading germs and viruses and stuff. If they were, just as they supply the masks to wear, they don't supply the "Biohazard" containers to throw them away in as you leave. They want whatever was in the hospital which is now on your mask to be taken with you in your car and to your loved ones. That last sentence is sarcasm and silly. But you get the point, I hope. We have a risk, that we accept, to visit those we love so they provide a means of protection (not really, cloth mask not N95); but no means by which we can dispose of a possibly contaminated item properly. Step up Saint Francis South. It is a one time purchase of a container.

For starters the staff when i went in july 8th er were phenomenal. Kudos to Dr. Naman and his staff. Instead of keeping for a stress test to be done the following day Dr. Naman sent me home because test couldnt be administered on weekends as no one was there. I greatly appreciate. My issue is that for the better parts if 2 weeks ive waited for the irder to be sent to HillCrest South due to my insurance being out of network with Dt. Francis Douth. Dr. Naman again came to the rescue to inform i would to get my pcp involved. Kudos to Dr. Naman for helping me. Im only giving 5 stars due to professionalism showed by Dr. Naman and his staff and supervisor Lauren.

Waited two days to get in to St Francis main after an auto accident, gave up and went to St Francis South. I’m so glad I did. The staff was all very professional and kind and happy. I felt like I was at a medical spa, warm blanket and all.

Clean, well organized, great volunteer staff not only gave us directions but walked us over to the lab. Check in at front door was friendly and helpful. Radiology and lab staff were kind. Typical hospital in that there was lots of waiting. Temperature was chilly enough several patients asked for blankets.
