Gyodong Tea Garden

Traditional teahouse

😠 Beautiful environment and experience but very odd that everyone at the table has to drink the same tea, and the price is just multiplied by the number of people even though there are no extra benefits. I.e. the table just has 1 pot of tea regardless of whether you have 1 person of 5 people... 1 pers... People often mention experience, house, traditional, nice, staff,

The place brings a zen vibe. Quiet and relaxing. The signature tea has a light taste. The owner is nice and helpful in instructing how to enjoy tea. Great escape inside the old village that worths to try.

The hidden tea house near the end of Hanok Village (main street). They teach how to brew a good pot of tea. Warm decor.

I.e. the table just has 1 pot of tea regardless of whether you have 1 person of 5 people... 1 person would pay $7 for their stay but 5 people would pay $35, for that same pot of tea

Lovely place, definitely a must visit. It was so peaceful and the decor of both interior and outside garden is fascinating. You can hear the wind chimes from inside while drinking your tea. They explain how to prepare the tea as well. I had yangwa too which was not too sweet. I really liked it. Tea was also delicious.

Great atmosphere. We got the golden tea that was subtle and also the mugwort cloud cake that was soft and not too sweet. Perfect place to take a break.

Definetly a must visit if you are a tea lover. The whole experience and space is very peaceful and calming. They will explain how to prepare and enjoy the tea. I also tried the different snacks which were all not too sweet and pairs very well with the tea.

The staff and the owner made us felt really welcomed! The recommended Golden Tea was subtle and refreshing. The owner tried his best to explain to us the process of tea brewing as well. Definitely would return if I am in Jeonju!

Really nice tea house to experience the traditional tea experience. Really enjoyable and chill time here to be zen and just forget your worries. The owner even taught us how to pour the tea.

As a lover of tea, this place was surreal. It felt like I had time traveled to the past and experienced a true tea house from colonial times. It is in a secluded part of the Hanok village, off of one of the main roads. When you walk through the gate you are entranced by the coziness of the little tea house. You take off your shoes, sit at a table and order tea from a very nice elderly man.

Beautiful traditional teahouse. Located in a more secluded alley just off the main tourist track, it was the perfect place to find peace and quiet on a Saturday afternoon. The tea was lovely too!

Amazing traditional and tranquil setting tucked into a side street. The amazing server (also in traditional wear) was super patient with us despite the language barrier. He showed us how to do the tea ceremony and the tea itself was amazing. Perfect cultural experience.

This is the place to go to if you are seeking for a zen place that serves 🍵

Tea was awesome. Nice setting. Service was great, taught us about the tea with unlimited refill. If you add up the cost, its cheaper than other cafés in the area, for tea that is from a teabag.

This tea shop always delivers a calm, collected experience in the bustling Hannok Mall area. The yellow tea is made in house, and has a light taste. If you are able to visit the shop in different seasons, you will be able to see the Hannok style house as it changes to match the weather, which in itself is a delightful event. I highly recommend it.

👍👍 Beautiful space, kind staff. I had the popular red bean sauce with black sesame bingsu because I had to try it and despite knowing that the red bean taste doesn't sit great with me. Well, it was interesting but still red beans are not my fav. 😇

🫤 It's a small family home There is no movement outside the room. Yard or entrance There are stores everywhere. There are many places where no affection is given. The owner is kind. Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, toothpaste, ready. No intention to revisit
