👍👍 I visited here during my daily trip to Jeonju. I ordered the famous stone bibimbap and I very much enjoyed it. Stone pot keeps the food warm longer and rice on the bottom sticks there and gets a nice crunchy texture. Sides were very nice too. I also tried spiced makgeolli. At first, I really enjoyed... This place is found twice on Google Maps for the same restaurant. But I had my most delicious Bibimbab here in a stone bowl. This place seems very popular too. The waiter was also very kind and gave us tips and suggestions regarding how to properly enjoy the meals. There are also two cats near the restrooms that want to play around. The prices are high or fair depending on how people see it. It was fair for me.

Very nice place. I felt really the local experience. They even taught me how to eat and mix the bibimpop since it was my first time trying it. They also refilled veggies that I finished. They can do vegan friendly too. Just make sure you ask them with Google translate whether they can do without meat fish (meat/ fish sauce) egg and it should be fine. Looks like they understand and are aware of it. Other than that, I paid 13000. The best is to go close to opening time (17.00) so it’s not that crowded

I visited here during my daily trip to Jeonju. I ordered the famous stone bibimbap and I very much enjoyed it. Stone pot keeps the food warm longer and rice on the bottom sticks there and gets a nice crunchy texture. Sides were very nice too. I also tried spiced makgeolli. At first, I really enjoyed the aroma but as it is very sweet it was hard to finish the whole cup. There were almost all locals in the restaurant when I was there and beef soup is a very famour option too. Overall, I recommend this place.

One of the most famous, original places in Jeonju. Bibimbap is really good with fresh ingredients, but it is a bit overhyped. I think a lot of the negative ratings are due to the price, as there are many restaurants that serve yummy bibimbap for a fraction of the price. However, you’re kinda paying for the history and name of this restaurant when you eat here.

An enjoyable one for bibimbap or raw beef or much more - we enjoyed the home made makgeolli (2,000KRW per cup). Beautiful garden but no outdoor dining - private rooms available

I was in Jeonju for one day and decided to try this restaurant. I must say I was a bit disappointed with the taste for the bibimbaps. The veggies were fresh, service was good, but the taste was not there. It was very bland. For $13000 jeonju Bibimbap.....

The best kalbitang we’ve had. Do not sleep on this dish - while the restaurant is known for the bibimbap, the kalbi tang is incredible. Deep flavor and seasoned enough to eat with rice. All 5 ribs were tender and a little chewy, seasoned well.

Had tried many Bibimbaps from many places. This one is by far the tastiest and freshest. The sauce is not over powering so you could taste the different ingredients which magically binds together. First bibimbap in Jeonju and they are still the best! Have a choice of normal bowl or hotpot bowl which keeps your bibimbap hot for a long time while you eat. My husband prefers the hotpot bowl as he likes the slightly char taste. Note that the Google maps have 2 different addresses which actually points to the same place.

Hankook Jib is the original home of JeonJu Bibimbap. The food is absolutely delicious. They take great care in the gochujang and soy sauces, making them from local good quality chili peppers. While Bimbimbap is available in many places, none compare to Hankook Jib.

The birthplace of the famous Jeonju bibimbap! Tried the yukhoe (raw beef) and Jeonju bibimbap - both are delicious. The moju (rice wine with herbs and spices) here was also especially delicious, definitely give it a try.

Throw back on update. Bibimbap has a flavor where I don't find at my home country. It seems to be in business for a very long time from generations to another. Nice atmosphere and of course nice food comes along.

Nice to try the original bibimbap spot. 3rd generation and 70 years operating. The raw beef bibimbap was the best of the 3 options for me. They've pre determined the perfect ratio of ingredients and sauce, so just have to accept their blend. Had nicer (in my opinion) dolsot Bimbimbap elsewhere. The one here is still very good.

popular Korean BBQ restaurant in Seoul, known for its high-quality meat and traditional setting. I recently had the opportunity to dine there, and I was very impressed.

Delicious Korean food served with efficient and professional staff in a beautiful setting. We tried the hot beef bimimbap and it was delicious. The prices are reasonable for the service and quality of food you receive.

The stonebowl Bibimbap is very delicious. Plenty of Banchan (side dishes). The pictures below are our Banchan for four people. The service is great and price is affordable. Highly recommended. Price range: KRW 15000 - 20,000

Authentic Bibimbap. The ingredients all tasted very fresh and overall the dish tasted healthy. However, this store is filled with tourists and the owner and waiters can speak english so I am a bit skeptical. But I had a decent and fulfilling meal anyways.

The go to place if you’re interested in trying authentic bibimbap. Service is great, food is real healthy and prices are very reasonable. Remember to scrap the burnt rice if you’re eating off the stone bowl!

Fantastic Michellin starred restaurant in the hanok village part of Jeonju. Super efficient service, great banchan (side dishes) that change daily. I had lunch two days in a row, first day having the stonebowl bibimbap and the second day having the Jeonju style bibimbap. Both were delicious I couldn't actually choose between the two. Egg in both decisions was more chopped omelette style rather than raw on top. Beautiful courtyard gardens outside near the bathrooms. Eat at a Michellin starred restaurant for only 13,000 won, bargain and deserves the hype.

What's better than having bibimbap right in its birthplace? This restaurant needs no introduction, it's one of the original places where this dish was first served. The hot stone bibimbap was delicious (super hot!) as well as the raspberry wine. The yellow mung bean jelly had a bit of a strange taste.

One of the best bibimbap I had in Korea, its very fresh and in a stone pot which keeps the food warm. The raw beef rice and rib soup taste good too.

We order jeonju bibimbab and galbi soup, it feel so fresh and light, we loves it so much, bit different with similar menu we got in other Korean resto, the usually so heavy seasoned, this one is so light and tasty, we also order the mageoli to accompany the food, but if you choose not to buy drink they peovide free drink

Yukhae Bibimbap - KRW 15000, Dolsot Bibimbap - KRW 13000 and Traditional Jeonju Wine [Moju] - KRW 3000 Famous for the Jeonju-style Bibimbap - one of Jeonju’s local specialties. Other than the typical greens, eggs and kimchi, the bibimbap also contains slices of their signature yellow acorn jelly. The base of both the bibimbaps are exactly the same, with the only difference being the protein. The raw beef tartare in the Yukhae Bibimbap has a subtle beefy sashimi taste while the cooked beef in the Dolsot Bibimbap is tender and tasty. The Moju is Jeonju’s traditional wine. It is brewed with fermented rice/malt and other herbs. It has a thicker texture and contains hints of oriental spices (used in medicine). Being slightly lower in alcohol content, it is slightly sweet and has a milder alcoholic aftertaste. In this specific moju, it contains a strong cinnamon note.

Hankook Jib served good bibimbap. To be honest it was a little overhyped as a lot of vlogs about Jeonju featured it so don't expect much. There are two options for the bibimbap, served it steel or stone bowl. We chose stone bowl so it came in hot. I recommend ordering their traditional makgeolli! For me it was the star of the show.

Food was awesome and the staff were all attentive, polite and professional. Ordered the Jeonju Bibimbap and Soy Paste Soup. Finished every single morsel of it. We had a surprise banchan which was the spicy baby crabs. Absolutely delicious.

Great food and service. This seems like a place you have to visit to try high quality bibimbap.

The beef tartar set it apart from regular bibimbap. Nice combination of ingredients. Didn't look spicy but parts of it were. It was full when we were there for lunch in November 2019. It's a casual place but the service was fine.

I had a great experience at Hankook Jib today, fantastic tasty food and all the sides you can wish for. I ordered the raw beef bibimbap and a bottle of magkeolli. The person who served me spoke great English, which is not very common in Korea, especially in smaller towns. He was very polite, and checked on me a couple of times.

👍👍 Kalguksu is awesome. Check out the taste of perilla seeds. Dumplings are average. Adapted from Gochujar: Perilla seed powder has a deep, earthy taste with a touch of minty, herbal flavor. The powder adds a nutty, grassy & earthy flavor to spicy Korean stews - it's quite a unique flavor.

👍👍 Hiding inside a local market, this restaurant serves Korean blood sausage that is very flavourful. The most popular way to eat here seems to be sundae (blood sausage) in a spicy boiling broth. The sausage is quite garlicky. The broth also contains some pig intestines.
