Small chapel where the Sacred Protector of the city of Granada, the Christ of San Agustín, resides, it belongs to a convent where you can buy delicious sweets

Chapel in which the image of the Sacred Crucifix of Saint Augustine, protector of the city of Granada, is venerated. It is a unique place of retreat. It is a place that we should all visit. Unbeatable.

Beautiful and good place for meditation. However, they continue, as in all churches, celebrating mass the same as 2000 years ago, everything the same and always around sin, there is not a single reference to today. It's boring, I understand why young people don't attend churches. Soon no one will go if they do not rectify and adapt the religious acts to new people and times.

Inside there is a workshop run by artisan nuns where exquisite cakes are made. A detail to highlight is the original door handles they have. It is a hand picking the apple from the tree of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. All biblical symbolism. If you take the doorknob to touch, you are taking Eve's apple and therefore you are sinning. Better refrain from touching and pass directly.

When passing by the street we have seen that they sell homemade sweets made by them. How good and delicious, if you can stop and take it to try "bienmesabe", which is a mixture of a cream made of angel hair, pieces of almonds and cinnamon and something else and it is delicious.

(Translated by Google) The convent of Santo Angel de Granada is one of the buildings that surprises us and takes us away from the tourist crowds of the Alhambra. Intimate and secluded atmosphere that invites you to pray. The superb Christ of San Agustín stands out, a great devotion from Granada. Renaissance work by Jacopo Florentino. Also a beautiful set of paintings and sculptures. We must draw attention to the processional parade of the Brotherhood on Holy Monday, sober, elegant and simply magnificent. One of the best Penitence Stations in Spain.

(Translated by Google) We went to bring eggs to Santa Clara to continue the tradition before a relative's wedding, and once there, after being attended by a sister Clarisa behind the wheel, we decided to buy some yolks, which are delicious. The next time I go through San Antón, I will buy more sweets, since they also sell cupcakes, empanadillas... La próxima vez que pase por San Antón, volveré a comprar más dulces, ya que venden también magdalenas, empanadillas...

The decoration of the altar and altarpiece exquisitely studied. It is impressive to see San Agustín wrapped in so much beauty, care and sweetness. The seriousness, silence and respect that this convent transmits is exemplary.

It treasures the image of "Christ of San Agustín", Sacred Protector of the City of Granada and the beautiful carving of Ntra.Sra.de los Ángeles, Owner of the now extinct Monastery of the same title in the neighborhood of Realejo.
