I wanted to start my daughter in an activity that would be fun but had structure to it. My daughter thrives when there are clear expectations. The Training Grounds has been everything I wanted and more. Coach Will and Coach Pete are so wonderful and understanding. They really have a way with the kids. My daughter HATED dance but cannot wait to get on the mat. I am excited to see her grow as an athlete, and I’m so grateful I found TTG.

Our nine year old son has been training at Training Grounds for just a few months now and we’re seeing possible results. We’ve been very impressed with the constant message from his coaches regarding being confident and holding others accountable, as well as being accountable for himself. Our son was timid going into the program but we’ve seen him become more and more confident over the last two months, even being student of the class several times. We look forward to seeing his progress in the months and years to come.

Highly recommend to anyone looking to learn/improve their BJJ. The instructors are excellent, really solid group of guys that are happy to share their knowledge and help you improve. The classes are organized and well-supervised. The gym itself is very well-maintained and clean. Overall it's been a great experience so far.

Training ground is one of the best places around. Prof Wil has been great and made the experience amazing. The passion he has really translates into his teaching and he makes it comfortable for all to come and start learning.

Training Grounds has really brought the best out of my daughter. The coaches teach both physical and mental stamina, which has helped her grow out of her shell. You can tell the coaches really care about the kids and endeavor to improve their teaching. Highly recommend.

I found Training Grounds when looking for BJJ-MMA for my son, who needed to build his physical self confidence and learn how to defend himself. I met with Coach Pete and immediately connected with him through his experience and understanding. My son has been training at TG for a couple of months now and loves it. The academy is a source of safety and brotherhood. It attracts all different types of people. Everyone's agenda is the same and that is to learn and be respectful. Professor Wil is hands on and passionate as an owner, teacher and mentor, thoroughly involved in all aspects of the academy. That attitude projects and creates the positive culture of Training Grounds. My son is progressing very nicely and made friends. The students are serious and the staff is flexible and knowledgeable. The music is awesome and the facility is clean and state of the art. Training Grounds is extraordinary!

Our Little Dude (5 years old) is a current student at Training Grounds, and I wanted to share what a positive experience it has been. The Most important thing to know about Training Grounds is that Prof Wil and team use BJJ as the medium for character development and life trajectory change. They do an incredible job engaging with all the kids. It’s very impressive how they maintain the classes attention. While the class is focused around learning a specific move, there is a constant stream of life lessons being taught; everything from understanding your emotions to how to deal with a bully. Prof Wil and team work closely with parents to make sure they gear their teaching towards each child’s individual needs. Would highly recommend!

I’m a college student who found BJJ at school via a club. I came home for the summer and was looking for a a gym to continue my training. Training Grounds had great reviews so that’s the one I went with. I’ve been regularly attending classes for about a month now and I’m more than pleased with my experience at Training grounds; the members are all great and super helpful and the faculty, namely Professor Will and Pete, are fantastic. No matter what I am learning on any specific day, or who is teaching, I always learn so much.

Our son joined Training Grounds a few months ago and he could not be happier! Professor Will and his team are extremely welcoming while maintaining a great standard of discipline, humility, self-defense, and camaraderie. The children are taught the fundamentals and technique of Jiu-Jitsu in a really fun way. Professor Will focuses on developing confidence and character by consistently discussing the importance of respect, loyalty, ownership, hard work and perseverance. This is a really special place and we are so glad we found it!

Training Grounds offers an perfect blend of martial arts training and character development. Professor Wil and coach Pete have an unbelievable ability at fostering respect, discipline, and confidence in a fun and engaging environment. There is a very clear dedication to setting up the students for success both on and off the mat. Both my children have grown noticeably in not only their BJJ skills but in their personal growth as well. I could not recommend TG enough!

I am happy to write a review about my child's experience at Training Grounds Jujitsu classes. My child initially started with private lessons due to previous negative experiences elsewhere, which had left him with low self-esteem. These one-on-one sessions, with Coach Peter, not only improved his jujitsu skills but also boosted his confidence significantly. After just two months in the kids' class, the instructors, led by Prof Wil, recognized his maturity and excellent jujitsu technique. They encouraged him to transition to the adult class, which was a huge step forward. I can't emphasize enough how much the instructors at Training Grounds Jujitsu & MMA has positively impacted my child. Not only has he grown as a martial artist, but he's also become more confident both socially and physically. We are incredibly grateful for the supportive environment and skilled instructors at Training Grounds. It's been an amazing journey of personal growth for our child, and we couldn't be happier with the progress he's made here. Thank you!

I happened upon Training Ground by accident whilst looking for a striking gym, as I recently moved to the area and have a boxing background. The striking class was not running and so I decided i had nothing to lose trying out a Jiu-Jitsu class. After my class I immediately signed up for membership. I’ve seen my share of good and bad gyms and training ground has got it right. Clear instruction, additional support when needed (very important in your first few sessions) and a great culture where people are there to learn and improve but also have fun. I have rolled with white belts up to brown belts so far and never once felt unsafe. Everyone wants you to improve. I cannot recommend this gym enough whether you have any kind of martial arts background or not.

Our son joined a few months ago and has really enjoyed the classes and direction. Each week he learns something new without the forced structure of traditional martial arts. In my opinion it’s the best way to prepare in the event you need to defend yourself. The instructors are extremely knowledgeable and accessible at all times. The structure of the program is perfect for both beginners and advanced practitioners of Jujitsu. I highly recommend this school for anyone interested in Jujitsu and MMA.

My 9 year old son has really enjoyed his time at Training Grounds. The teachers are great and have really helped him build skill, strength, and confidence all at the same time. I love the friendly atmosphere and how all the kids really try to help each other learn and have fun. If you’re looking for a BJJ studio, I would highly recommend checking out Professor Wil and his staff!

I can’t speak higher of the facilities and coaches here at TG. At the trial class my 6 year old came in tentative and nervous. By the end of the class he was excited and confident that this was what he wanted to do. The professors really dial into giving the students what they need and teach valuable lessons that they can carry out into the world. I’ve seen a big change in my son’s demeanor and approach to challenges. The community they’ve built here is very impressive and we’re very lucky to be a part of it.
