I had an great time staying here! Very cute artsy unique rooms, in great location to beach and the hospital. I felt very safe there and also Liz is the absolute best, very caring and overall just nice time I had there wish I could have stayed longer! Truly a gem this place!!

From the busy street it looks like just another Jersey shore no-tell motel but looks are truly deceiving. Inside, super clean, beautifully tiled, efficiency units. Thick mattress. Small, glistening pool (open until 10 pm) overlooking wetlands with many birds. Hands on owners and it shows. Great value. Highly recommend!

The owner Liz is wonderful. I needed a last minute room for the week for work and lucky for me she had one left. My arrival time kept getting pushed further into the night due to traffic and accidents on my way up from North Carolina. Liz stayed up to check me in when I finally arrived at 11pm. The pictures online do not do this place justice!! It's so cute, clean, comfortable, everything is updated. When I came in and got settled into my room, I noticed something was on the table. There was the sweetest hand written welcome note from Liz and Ken... Along with a plate of the tastiest homemade chocolate chip cookies! I, honestly am so glad the other places my coworkers were trying to get a room for me fell thru and I stumbled upon 88 Motel on Google maps. I haven't even been here for a full 24 hours yet and I can't believe I almost missed out on this little gem. I definitely won't be staying anywhere else but here when I'm in town for work. If you stay here, you Will Not be disappointed.

My husband and I had to find a room quickly for 3 nights due to a death in the family. I called On Wednesday and spoke with Liz, and explained our situation, they had one room left. Since we were driving from Maine, we did not know if we would be there before 11 pm when the office closed. Not a problem, we were provided our room number, our room was left unlocked for us, a light on and our key on the table. There was a plate of homemade cookies and a card expressing condolences! We did not even check in until the next morning. The rooms were clean and neat and comfortable! Next time we head to Brick, hopefully for a happier occasion we will book again at the 88 Motel!

Liz and Ken were absolutely AMAZING!! Great view of the pond out back, the rooms were cleaned daily, everything was comfortable, internet and TV were good, and they are just the most personable and gracious hosts I've ever had a hotel.

If I make this too long, you probably won't read this! One word, Liz! It's her hotel and she cares and it shows! From the very beginning we knew we were in for a treat. It started with the thank you card in the mail for booking with her, to the homemade cookies with a welcome card for us. The rooms look like they have recently been redone with pricey materials! Beds were very comfortable and clean! My wife, myself, Mother and Aunt had the best stay! And it was more affordable than the big hotels! Liz don't change anything, it feels good !

I stayed here 7 years ago while working a shutdown at a nearby power plant. The customer service (maid service specifically) was the best I've ever experienced anywhere. I remember about a week into my stay I neglected to do my dishes before bed, then ignored them as I headed off to work the next morning. When I arrived late that evening the whole room had been cleaned as usual, & all my dishes were clean & dry!! I also vaguely remember a baked good of some kind, cookies or a muffin & a holiday card during my stay. Truly amazing. They really go above & beyond for their tenants & I sincerely hope nothing has changed. This long overdo review brought to you by the Google Maps time machine. (But writing it 7 years later should prove how amazing it was that I still remember it)

I'm so late at writing this review from our stay at the end of July but this place is worth it! From my first phone call (for a last minute reservation even) I knew I had found the right place. We were down the shore fishing all weekend and this beautiful little motel was in a perfect location, close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet. I was thrilled to get to meet Ken and Liz after our fairly late check in and she even left us delicious homemade cookies! The rooms are beautifully decorated, and very clean and comfortable! We didn't get to use the pool or check out the wildlife because we were on the go the whole time but we will definitely be back. Staying here is like staying with family. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!
