I called for pricing information on Apple picking today 10/1/2023. I was initially told wrong - that a couple could use 1 bag. That is incorrect, my mother called back and was told by another employee EVERY person has to buy a bag. The bags are small (3.5lbs), medium (5lbs), large (10lbs). The small bag price is $9. What couple needs 7lbs of apples? And it would cost $18+!? Apples are in season, I can buy 3lbs for $2 at produce junction currently. We are foregoing apple picking because of this structure. Pricing needs to be listed on your website also. I'm sure there is a reason for the policy however to force everyone to pay for a bag is unreasonable.

Really a nice place to go to get some super fresh sweet and a large variety of apples. It wasnt exactly cheap but it wasnt extremly expensive. They give you a nice map of the orchard and tell you which apples were ready for picking. I would imagine that weekends are crazy busy but if you like a nice day to go apple picking with someone and you dont want it to be crazy head there on a nice afternoon on a weekday in september there were maybe 10 cars in the parking lot and the orchard is quite large so we never really came across anyone else.

Don’t go unless u want to be ripped off! Tried taking my family there to pick apples and they wanted to charge us $9 each for a throw away plastic bag. I said we don’t want to pick that many apples we just would like to pick 1 bag of apples and they told us well only the 1 person who buys a plastic bag can go inside so we turned around and will never get my business! Also they don’t allow pets ! Do yourself a favor and search nearby orchards that don’t charge u a admission to get on top of purchasing the apples that u pick

Fun apple picking with a wide variety to choose from including Red delicious, Empire, Golden delicious and Stayman Winesap. Come early in the season for popular honey crisp.

Terhune was always my favorite local orchard to go apple picking, but their structure has changed and I will not be returning. Every person 4 and up needs to pay at minimum $9 for a small bag of apples. While I understand that the farm has to be profitable, it seems very money hungry considering you are still out in the orchard picking them yourself.

Great farm to take the family for a day out. I took my kids there for apple picking and pumpkin picking. By the time we visited, a few of the apples were finished for the season, but there were others to pick. Once we were done, we traveled 4 mins up the road to the farm house. Here you could visit the pumpkin field and pick your own pumpkin, there was a wine tasting area. I purchased a flight of wine and enjoyed with cheese and crackers. They had a food store where one could buy fresh from the farm vegetables, jams and apple cider donuts. My only peeve was that the donuts are not served warm. In past farms we got made to order donuts with the option of sugared or unsugared. There is a playground, a food court, pony rid, a corn maze and a dandelion field. One can also guy flowers to plant as well as other fruits. This is the place to spend a day out with the little ones. I intend to visit again next year

We tried the new pick-your-own apples experience, with full knowledge of the new pricing structure. We have been going to Terhune for many years but took a break over COVID. I read all of the negative reviews on here about the bag purchasing approach vs the weight approach and decided to try it. The three of us bought two small $9 bags each, for a total of 6 small bags and $54. I have to admit, it felt pricey. Each bag fit about 6 large apples. So it's about $1.33 per apple. We decided to go this way rather than 3 large bags so we could keep the varieties separate. I recommend bringing a sharpie to label your bags. :) The orchard was as usual very spotty. Some of the varieties were in full production, some were way done, but that's typical for a working orchard with different types of apples. We definitely had to walk around a bit to find the ones that were ready and not over picked. But there were certainly plenty of apples to fill our 6 small bags. On the whole, the new experience was much like the old one. We definitely left with fewer apples then we would have otherwise. However, what was different was both the anxiety at the end of the day about how many apples you picked and what you would have to pay, AND the huge line and usually about 20-30 minute wait to check out. So, I'm not really super upset about the new pricing model. On the whole, it worked out ok. If we had more people in our party, i can see how the $9 small bag minimum purchase per person might feel onerous. But remember that there's no parking fee and no admission otherwise. If you were trying to take advantage, you could conceivably drive up with (say) three cars full of people and spend hours walking around and eating your fill of apples, without that per-person minimum purchase to cover it. After thinking about it, I'm ok with the new pricing design. $9 for 6 apples still feels pricey tho, so maybe they should reconsider the per-bag prices. However, it was a fun two hours for the three of us, and that's about what we would have spent on a movie. *Shrug* The apples, as usual, were delicious.

Pricey but, worth it. $26 per 10LB large "empty" bag, that you pick & fill. Go slow 🀣 or you fill up FAST. 3 Different price ranges.... small, Med & large. Great place for the FAMILY πŸ˜‰

Great farm with good apples and best customer service. I was going there for years and will for years to come. The lady at the orchard entrance should receive double pay. She was very professional and nice trying to explain the policy and prices to me. No matter how many bags you get and sizes, the bottom line is all the same price. So just go for it and enjoy the day. πŸ˜€Thank you for great experience and delicious 🍏
