It was an around good vibe. I'm always looking for a good curry and this was in point. The waitress was the best, took good care of us. If you want drinks try the "My first kiss" and the lemonade is 👌🏾👌🏾. Pictures are... Softshell crab bun and crunchy chicken curry.

Went there with a few friends to try the food and hang out. We started out with some appetizers and drinks. The drinks were delicious and so were the appetizers, The entrees we ordered were made fresh and very delicious. I had a chilli chicken ramen bowl and it was very filling and well worth it. I will go back to try the other items in the future. The staff was polite and very attentive and friendly. If you are going with 5 or more people you should call to reserve.

After visiting the Met I had lunch at Meijin Ramen (a 10 min walk from the museum). Ordered the Washu Beef Ramen and a lychee juice. The ramen was good, in fact it was just a little shy of being amazing, mining it kinda disappointing. The broth was by far the strongest point, pure umami, almost creamy. The noodles were good but nothing out of this world, and the washu roast beef cuts might as well have not been there (they were rather bland, almost tasteless). I expected way more from the priciest ramen dish on the menu of a ramen place. Still, the rest of the menu looks awesome, there's a good chance I'll be back. EDIT: came back to here for lunch, before visiting the Neue Galerie. Had the soft shell crab buns and the bento lunch special with unagi, and both were delicious. Also, the lunch special has a really good price for the amount of food you get.

The 1st time we went, we stood for about 10 minutes waiting to be acknowledged and seated. It wasn't peak time, there were several available tables for our party of 3, and there were staff there, just standing around. We were actually about to leave because I found service lacking at that point, when someone finally came to seat us. The food definitely made up for the initial negative impression. We ordered the short rib ramen and fried squid. The ramen came out, they lit the rosemary and let the smoke and flavor infuse the broth tableside. The short ribs portion was good, very tender, and flavorful. The fried squid was also yummy, it was crispy, and not overcooked. For drinks, the Tokyo Mule (served with candied ginger) was very good! We ended up going there a 2nd time a few days later as my kids couldn't stop talking about the ramen. We ordered the short rib again, Tokyo Mule (for me), and the pork bun. The pork bun was tasty, had a good amount of filling, and was soft and fluffy. The ambiance of this place is very casual and comforting. The lights are dimmed, simple table settings, no fuss, just good food. We will definitely visit again next time we're in the city.

Tasty ramen and good appetizers options. There are plenty of choices for vegetarian/vegan people. Restaurant space is pretty big, so large groups can be accommodated. Highly recommended.

Had some of the best ramen I’ve ever had here. The restaurant was busy and everyone was having a good time. Service was quick and friendly. Food was fabulous. Would definitely recommend.

Wish I could give them 5 stars because the ramen was quite good. Large portion, soft roasted beef, and rich broth. Unfortunately the appetizers didn’t make the cut for me. The pumpkin tempura was cold and not crispy. The tuna tatami was a tad too salty. I might go back and try other menus and revise my score

Ramen: 3/5 Sushi: 5/5 Bathroom: 5/5 For a place that is called Meijin Ramen, their ramen is perfectly average. Broths are very one-tone and overly salty, noodles can be a bit overcooked, and they don't have a chashu ramen. Their sushi on the other hand, is excellent. We tried the eel combo box and it was probably some of the best eel I've had in NYC. They give giant pieces, no tiny pieces of bone, and a delicious eel sauce. Also definitely recommend the tuna tartare. The tuna is flavorful, the chip holds its structure even after 10 minutes, and gives a nice crisp to the dish. On a completely different note, there is a gorgeous terrarium behind the bathroom, there is 1 sided glass on both sides of it, so you can see it from both the men's and woman's bathroom, really cool.

Wow what a gem of a place. We had incredible Ramen. Chicken soy + veggie veggie ramen with added extra tofu. It is very affordable. Hope it stays that way! Best wishes for this place. 🤩

The atmosphere is great! It can get a bit cold by the door in the winter but the general atmosphere is ambient. The food is good and the menu selection is great. The portions are pretty amble and filling! The staff are helpful and kind.

Great prompt service. Indoor and outdoor seating. Nice ambience. I had a Saporro on tap. Limited beer selection. We also had hot sake. We had edimame to start which were good. We also had gyoza which were pan fried and delicious as well as oysters. I had spicy Ramen with pork. We also had the Chilli chicken Ramen. Great! Arugala salad was delicious. It was an awesome little spot. Great experience!

First off, restaurant is quaint but still allows space for people coming in vs people at tables. Spacious seating, good lighting, gives a welcoming atmosphere. I got the beef ramen, chefs suggestion. Knocked it out of the world! Very delicious, the broth was incredibly flavorful. Enjoyed to the last drop. The soy sauce egg and the scallions topped it off. I came in wanting a delicious bowl of ramen, and I'm happy to say I was satisfied. Service was friendly and welcoming. Would recommend if you'd like a nice place to eat, many options available including sushi, and happy hours!

5/5⭐️ (It is my honor and pleasure to award my 4th 5 out of 5 stars to Meijin Ramen) Meijin Ramen Spicy Shredded Pork Tonkotsu Ramen - $19. Broth - 5/5. I generally don’t do “spicy” but since it was their best seller, I thought I give it a try. There are two sides of the broths. The left half has a very spicy kick to it but I can taste the creaminess. Prepare to have the pores opened and runny nose. The right half is rich in black garlic and the spice is subtle. Cha shu - 5/5. Pulled fatty pork. It absorbs the broth really well. Noodle - 5/5. wavy noodles that has that perfect firm texture while absorbing the broth so well I just… *makes sexy moaning noises while a jazzy background music plays* This is what I meant previously about the “perfect harmonious balance” in ramen. No part can be better or stronger than the other. The broth may be spicy but it’s not too salty. Both cha shu and noodles absorbs it well, enticing my appetite with each bite. If I could handle spice better, I would’ve finished every drop of the broth. Also, for the record, I’m not a soup person so when I finish a ramen broth, that speaks loud in volume of the chef’s recipe and skills. Side notes: The egg in the ramen is super creamy in the yolk and super concentrated in soy sauce! Other side notes: Tuna Tartare - 5/5. A MUST TRY. I can see why it’s one of their best sellers and highly recommended on the menu. Pork Bun - 3/5. Thinner more than I normally like for it to be but I was able to taste the fatty texture among the other garnishes and sauces. Thick bun though. Karaage - 1/5. It was a bit underwhelming and a bit dried but their ramen and other appetizers outshine this dish. I would stick with the tuna tartare and ramen. That being said, I still make my karaage better.

Yummy ramen in the UES, recommend. We enjoyed eating outside, late on a Friday and did not need to wait. We had attentive and fast service. Even better, the food came out very quickly after we ordered. The spicy pork was good, with creamy broth. My friends enjoyed the miso classic, and the crunchy tuna appetizer was beautifully represented and tasty. Very broad menu for food and drink. I'd come here again!

First time at Meijin Ramen. The veggie veggie ramen and avocado rolls were very good and flavorful cocktails Our dine in experience was better than our take out. They gave us wrong items.

New York City has an abundance of options, but I absolutely love coming to this ramen bar in my neighborhood. It has a terrific selection of food as well as a full bar. My favorites here are the miso ramen and the chicken curry rice. The happy hour deals here on weekdays are also amazing. I love the ambiance and environment here as well. The best part of Meijin is the people that work here especially the bartender, Achida. She is the best and will do her absolute best to make your experience here wonderful. I would highly recommend coming here during a visit and even if you’re a NYC local.

Came in for lunch and enjoyed my ramen. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. Prices weren’t crazy and the food tasted fresh. Definitely a place to stop by next time you get a ramen craving.

We walked pass by this restaurant and decided to give it a try. The dining space is pretty hipster and cozy and they have some cute art decorations on the ceilings. Our server was pretty attentive and friendly. Menu-wise, there aren’t many options with pork chashu (which was surprising, as I would have expected many for a ramen place), most of them come with grounded pork/beef. But in addition to ramen, they have some other main dishes such as curry 🍛, sushi, rolls, etc. We were a party of 2 and we ordered 1) eel crispy rice 2) spicy chicken curry and 3) Shio ramen. I must say their portion is VERY generous. Unlike typical NYC size, you really get a lot of food. Price is reasonable and the eel crispy rice is very yummy!! Spicy chicken 🍛 is alright, the curry us not particularly flavorful but the fried chickens are huge and yummm. Lastly, Shio ramen has a lot of stuffs in it too, but the broth itself was a little disappointing. It tasted quite plain and watery. Overall I think it’s good place to grab a quick bite and you actually get a lot of food (generous portion), but i would recommend going for sushi rolls, crispy rice, and curry rather than ramen.

Pretty good selection of Sake; it's the First Ramen I eat since coming back from Japan so maybe my review is unfair. The Ramen I found it good; I think there are other places in the city that have tastier and richer ramen BUT to be fair to the place their menu is very varied. The Poke Bowl next to me makes me think I chose the wrong entree. The loud 80s music and just sitting at a bar threw me off a little.

First dine-in ramen of the season and it did not disappoint! The Spicy Miso came with pork on top and an egg. The egg wasn’t flavorless but it didn’t pop but texture was great! The pork was like when you have bacon and you split it down the middle and then just cut one side vs crumbles. It wasnt fatty or chewy; perfectly tender! The service was great and the outdoor seating was plentiful on a chilly Wednesday night.

Maybe the best ramen I've had. The broth was definitely the best. I got the Meijin Ramen bowl and it was great. Broth was a bit spicy. The beef was so good. Will be back if in this area again!

First time here by random. Didn’t expect it would be this good. Loved everything we ordered. Ramen was good too! Love the broth! Would like to come back again!

Still as good as I remember before the pandemic. Overall the ramens are still great and the soup base is amazing. For two, we had the Chili Chicken Ramen and the Seafood Ceviche Cold Noodles along with two appetizers of the Tuna Tartare and the Shishito Peppers. The Tuna Tartare was alright albeit a bit bland however the rest were great. I think I'll be back for normal hot ramen when it isn't like 100 degrees outside.

One of the best ramen places in the city. Their veggie ramen is delicious—the broth is flavorful, not too salty and the tofu is my favorite! Would definitely love to see more vegan options!

Excellent ramen with excellent service. Cute little spot with good music, at least when I went so shout out to the dj keep it up. The dessert I had was really good although I didn’t taste the matcha (I had the Matcha cheesecake) but it was still delicious. Will be coming back here again for sure

Great bar at this restaurant - a fun locals place with a nice atmosphere. Craft cocktails, sake and Japanese whiskies are their specialty but also have interesting beers. Always nice music playing with nice clientele and great bartenders. Give it a try.

Simply delicious. Been a regular at this spot and I Truly believe they have the best ramen in NYC! Go see for yourself and ask for the chili oil as a side 😍
