Walked across the street after my meeting and found a true gem of a cafe amidst the concrete buildings! The interior is absolutely awesome, and the coffee/pastries were phenomenal! The owner was so friendly and helpful for our first visit. I don't usually look forward to visiting Hudson County but next time I'll be looking forward to another Cafe Peanut experience, for sure! The iced coffee and cheese pocket are a must!!!

Love Cafe Peanut. My favs are cappuccino with coconut milk and smashed avocado toast. I love spending Sundays here cause I love guitar music. Also, they have live bands on Saturdays. And a special thanks to the barista Ilya who is doing a great job providing good coffee, service, and a friendly atmosphere.

We loved this cafe! It was cute, and the service was good. I was just kind of disappointed with the coffee. My cousin ordered a Macha latte, and it was just too strong. We could only taste the matcha and nth else. But overall, we had a great time, and I'm definitely coming back. :)

Ok, this little gem here is MARVELOUS! Absolutely the epitome of a hype, peaceful, creative, calm coffee shop! Went there with my sister her Brunch and as you see, I was unable to take a proper photo. The avocado mash was so very delicious. These photos don't capture the true ambience. Great and friendly staff Parking Good people Great Vibes Must Go.....

I'm surprised by all of the positive reviews because this was the worst food I've ordered in a while...and I ordered relatively simple items that shouldn't be too hard to make. I got the lavender latte, which tasted like grass, the "homemade" Nutella donut which was simply a store bought donut with Nutella sloppily spread on it and some brown sugar oatmeal. The oatmeal was the only thing I could eat. The donut was stale and pretty hard. The latte had potential but honestly was just not good. Tasted like a field of grass. I'm disappointed because I genuinely was excited about these items and the cost did not match the product. Will not be ordering again and would not recommend.

If I worked around here this would be a daily stop for coffee and maybe a little something extra. Today I happened to stop by for lunch. Of course the cortado coffee is a must for the noon time pick me up caffeine. The Italian sandwich was very good. Staff is always pleasant. Very attentive to service. Overall a great spot if you're in the area.

Cute cafe in an area that needs more of them! Reasonably priced sandwiches for lunch - had the smoked salmon and the quesadilla (more like a toasted wrap, but still tasty). Will definitely be back to try brunch!

Incredibly decorative and autumn themed! I love the layout and complex yet intricate decorations they put inside the restaurant. Voted one of New Jersey's Best 15 restaurants by The Times, this is an excellent place to come to especially now in this season. It serves a solid variety of beverages and breads. The store owner himself is kind and very friendly. Not only that, but the place itself has a small lounge itself with a mini coffee table perfect for reading, completing work, or taking a break from the average schedule we have in our everyday lives. As for my first time, this was quite the delightful experience! They served free pretzels alongside the coffee! Awesome!

I came once by myself and the guy at the register was ignoring me when I tried to order and was also kinda rude when i finally ordered. He had a bad attitude when I was really polite and I’m used to coming there with my fiancé. However the older guy who works there (not sure if he’s the owner or manager) is very nice and welcoming. The place itself is super cute with a nice decor and good drinks, so it’s a shame that this employee is ruining the whole atmosphere. He honestly gave me a bitter after taste of the place. I just read the reviews before leaving mine and apparently there are a lot of complaints about him so maybe management needs to do something about it?

Terrible service here! The food takes forever to come out (I just had an avocado toast) even though it was empty, and the waiter was pretty rude. I'm writing this as I wait 20 minutes for a stupid avocado toast, so I don't know if the food is any good. But I won't be coming back if it takes them 20 min to make a stupid avocado toast. It's really expensive too for the service you get.

It was a good experience, very cozy and cute place to eat or have some delicious coffee, great music the only down side was when i ordered my chicken salad, it was more like a simple salad with almost not chicken on it. I would suggest the portions to be better other then that we enjoyed our coffee and the pastries.

The place has a beautiful vibe. The service is good and the food is amazing. Salmon sandwich and the nutella coffee are my favorite combination. Must to go.

I'm very picky with my coffee and this place has totally won my heart. The Rosewater Latte is so flavorful, not too sweet and it's the perfect way to start your day. Pair it with the freshest Cheese Pocket you can find in Jersey City and you'll have a big smile on your face. Everything I tried was fresh and delicious and they are very polite with their customers.

I stumbled upon this cafe, and I’m so happy that I did! They have a wide variety of syrups and have some fun drinks too (like the sloppy Nutella latte). The ambiance is gorgeous and they have outdoor seating. The cashier was super friendly and you could tell he enjoyed working there. The lemon loaf is perfect for the summer, and they use quality espresso for their coffee. Perfect coffee shop to go to in the neighborhood.

Tried the fireball latte (espresso, milk, and a chili syrup) hot, not iced, and 1000% would have it again. It's the right amount of sweet and just the smallest amount "spicy". It's more of a lingering heat that stays in your mouth. So good. The food here is darn good too. Love the flavor in the turkey BLT wrap! Could use a bit more mayo and turkey, but I left here pretty satisfied.

Great place to grab lunch. The food is no frills, and each sandwich comes with a side of half a bag of kettle chips. I came here with a laptop with the intention of doing work, but the wifi was a bit spotty and the customers + staff have a habit of talking loudly. Would not recommend for coworking

Stopped in quick for a warm soup and was greeted by a very pleasant person who helped us choose. We had the wild mushroom soup with focaccia bread and an almond croissant. Both were fresh and delicious. I’d come back here to try their other menu items just based on the service alone. Nice to have small businesses in a large city that make you feel welcome and provide good food, a clean restaurant and pleasant chit chat.

I’m giving this place a one star, although I would would have liked to give them a better rating. The food and coffee are very good, but the service is incredibly slow!!! Visited on a Sunday with my family, ordered three simple dishes and after 30 mins wait, they had not started our order. In the meantime, I saw at least 6 people wait in line and leave. Only two people are staffing the place. It looks like they’re trying their best but the owner/manager needs to hire more people (or help himself/herself), particularly during such a busy time.

The cafe's ambience has lots of plants and gives off a vintage vibe - totally my style. I swung by with two of my friends on a weekend for brunch, unsure if it was expected to be a slower day, but there was only one employee working the front and one working the back. Therefore, service was a bit slow and they forgot one of our drink orders. I ordered an order of avocado maddness - which was pretty good. Transparently, I don't remember what my friends but they called out their meals are pretty decent as well. Unsure if it's worth the price but it was nice to check it out.

Friendly service and a nice space to relax and have a coffee. Food is only available until 11am but I was able to just make it. The chicken bacon omelet was disappointing. Very dry and already cool due to the toppings.

They hire young people who really have no conversations and they don't have a clue about their menus. I ordered the bruschetta and it was terrible. I don't know why they portray themselves like they got the best menu. My bruschetta was just a regular piece of toast and chopped up tomatoes. They were not helpful or did they want to be assistance and they too high for their food. The place is nice but they don't know how to make food.

Great place for food while serving jury duty. Staff is wonderful and beautiful decor/vibe and food is very good.

Ordered the Avacado Sunny side up - not really a sandwich so should not be in the sandwich section. Half the things mentioned were not on it like tomatoes, onions and cucumbers. sunny side up was cold. Entire toast was flavourless - not even salt. Not to mention its the most expensive thing on their menu. When we told the cashier, she said oh okay sorry. We asked if she could do anything, she said she only has a way of charging money and not refunding. Really disappointing - not returning.

Love this little café in Jersey City. Looks like a tiny spot from the outside but it's got a long, roomy & cute interior. Plenty of seating. Great music & vibe. And Lisa, at the counter, was super pleasant, upbeat, and friendly.

Cute and cozy. Had a vegan burrito and cappuccino, and both were great. Friendly owner and employees. Really nice atmosphere. Will be back =]
