Good burger, very filling meal! Caring server! Overall great food - you can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients - soft bun, caramelised onions, special sauce, and the double layered burger patties. I was so full afterwards, but reflecting on the bill, I thought it was a little expensive for what I had. Almost $40 including tax and tips, for this meal and a soda. Is it worth it? Maybe for the experience of trying the famous hyped Emily’s burger. But the taste didn’t make blow my mind to say, wow, I’d come here again. Five Guys is a great substitute in my opinion. Overall I’d recommend it for the experience and suggest you coming not too late. This set is a lot and the last thing you want is a late night food coma. Also, book it or call in advance in you can.

My last visit to Emily West Village was five years ago, where I endured a three-hour wait in line. Thankfully, this time I had reservations, which made the experience much smoother. The burger I ordered was undeniably tasty, although I must mention that the first half had an overpowering black pepper flavor. Fortunately, it subsided in the latter half. The fries served alongside were incredible, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Additionally, their garlic bread was delightful, and the “make your own pizza” option proved to be quite enjoyable. However, I must admit that the service fell short of my expectations. The staff seemed distant and unenthusiastic, making us feel as if they were doing us a favor rather than providing warm hospitality. It would have been more welcoming to receive attentive service throughout the meal.

Wow crazy restaurant, delicious food, great service and perfect atmosphere. We ordered for the opening portion the wing balls which were just amazing. Main course Hamburger and the famous pizza of the restaurant. The dishes are very large and perfect. The price is fair and worth every dollar. Highly recommended and a must include this restaurant on any visit to New York.🇺🇸

Absolutely a fantastic experience. Visited for a lunch and took the burger and the Luca pizza, shared between 3 people. The burger is one of the best I’ve tried. Juicy and flavorful. Pizza was fabulous too. Got here at 12.45 on a weekday, got a table until 14. The staff was extremely friendly. Definitely worth the trip.

I can scratch this one off the burger bucket list. On the 1-5 scale, this was a 4.3 Very good hamburger. I'm gonna put this above JG Melon, above 5 napkin, but not quite Jackson Hole for best. burger in NYC. But I can't lie. The last bite of the burger was better than the first. Nothing too fancy. Great medium patty, the perfect bun, and there was a lovely mushrooms sauce or something. Decent serving of fries on the side. But as I chowed down on that burger and enjoyed two delicious Greenpoint Harbor ales...I kept thinking, "damn, maybe I should have ordered the pizza." Service was top-notch, and it was a pretty packed house. Of course, the West Village location was a tad tiny. Overall, VERY happy to finally get to Emily's.

Lunch time is not a busy time for them and you should be able to get a table quite easily. Most come for the burger and also the pizza. The spicy chicken sandwich is quite decent too. Staff are friendly and always around to help with anything you need. Would be lovely to sit outside during the warmer months. Worth a trip down to try the burger.

Arrived at 12:00 with a reservation and was promptly seated. Service was excellent. Food quality was great. I know the Emily Double Stack receives all the praise but enjoyed the Spicy Chicken with “Nguyen Sauce”and added bacon as my favorite, the Detroit style pizza (The Luca)second and the burger (Emily Double Stack) my third favorite. This isn’t saying that all dishes weren’t tasty because they were. I just thought the Spicy Chicken with a bacon and unique sauce really stood out. Between four hungry people, we split the chicken, pizza, and burger in as many cuts as possible yet still left everyone stuffed. It my sound strange but take a trip to the restroom. It’s downstairs and down a long hallway with what seems like the original wooden stairs walking you right by the kitchen. Really cool looking dining spaces downstairs also. Stop by if you are in the area. You won’t be disappointed. It’s one of those places that lives up to the hype.

What a wonderful culinary experience! We ordered the kale salad, the burger, a delicious pizza, and the banana pudding dessert. The burger and the pizza were phenomenal, truly worth the calories! The pizza crust was thick and mouthwatering and the burger buns were almost brioche like. The kale salad was a kale salad and the banana pudding was good, but the main compliments go out to the star of the show here, the pizza. A must visit location.

OMG!!!! All other burgers in your life are trash compared to this. Insanely delicious!!!! I heard about Emily through a podcast I listen to (Armchair Expert) and I'm so glad I was able to go! The fries were so good too!! The burger is messy but so worth it. We went at an off time and had no trouble being seated. I would recommend reservations as the restaurant is smaller.

There are a lot of people in this place, it is better to book a table in advance. The pizza was ordinary, nothing special, but the burger was delicious. The order fulfillment time is very long, we waited for our order for almost 1 hour.

Probably the best meal we had whilst in New York - the burger comes highly recommended and with good reason, it had the right balance of flavours/ingredients and I liked the pretzel bun. The gluten free detroit style pizza was some of the best gf pizza my partner has ever had. It was a fairly reasonably priced meal for NY, although we didn't have any starters and just the one cocktail each (the spicy margarita was very spicy). The service was friendly and quick and there was a good atmosphere when we visited on a Saturday night - definitely recommend booking in advance.

I don’t know where to start because I love everything about this place. I never had any better burger than Emily’s burger it’s so juicy, delicious and full of flavor every bite you take😘🙌 the fries are crispy and so yummy, the pizza is so fluffy and tasty.. love the sauce of the burger and the tomato sauce of the pizza. The vibe is stunning and aesthetic. The employees are super friendly and full of great energy.

The place was nice and had a cozy atmosphere. We didn't have a reservation but we're seated with in 15 minutes. Drinks were tasty and bartender was quick! Had the $26 burger and it was good but it did not impress!! Overall I liked the place and would love to try something else since we heard good things but we visited from Texas so that makes it pretty unlikely.

Went here for the burger, which is quite popular online. It is one of the better burgers in the town, that, surprisingly, lacks good burger culture. Even though the burger was quite okay, it was nothing really amazing or worthy of the hype around it. The service was great and atmosphere - worthwhile.

Usually, when you hear a restaurant has “the best X in NYC”, it never lives up to the hype. Well, let me say, the Emmy burger absolutely lives up to its reputation. Went here for my husband’s birthday and he said it was probably the best burger he’s ever eaten. We also loved the waffle fries (they were PERFECT) and the cheesy garlic bread sticks. Cocktails were delicious too, will definitely come back to try more of the menu!

I've been listening to my favorite podcast rave about this Emily Burger for years. I finally remembered to try it, this trip around and by god did it live up to the hype. We ordered garlic bread sticks for the table which were to die for. Cheese, garlic, pesto and bread. Mouth watering. The burger was perfectly cooked, juicy, the exact perfect amount of everything on a perfect bun. It's the most delicious burger I've ever tasted. The burger came with a side of waffle fries which were a great addition to an already perfect meal. We also got the pizza which was also fantastic. Fluffy, flavorful and perfectly cooked. Our server was great and attentive and the ambiance was perfect. Couldn't say better things about this restaurant.

Cute place, very friendly staff. Food a little overrated imo. The pretzel bun burger was a 6/10. The day we were there for lunch, the fryer was broken so only burgers and pizza were available. Pizza with honey sounds weird but it was tasty. fun just as a one time lunch imo.

Not just a social media sensation but definitely a bucket list establishment when visiting NYC. Always busy so best to get a reservation online. Awesome cocktails, Detroit style pizza and let’s not forget, the famous and perhaps best in NYC, The Emmy Burger. This is one experience you don’t want to miss.

On a big food tour today. First was 9 am dim sum. 2nd was 11 am cappuccino & pastries. Then finally arrived at Emily for lunch. Looked around quickly and noticed most tables were chowing down on the Emmy burger. Always good to go with popular opinion in regard to food. Complemented the Emmy with a glass of Cabernet. Very smooth. The meat patties were quite good but the pretzel bun takes the prize 🏆 Need to return for the pizza which I saw floating around as we were leaving…

The perfect burger meal doesn't exi- Double stack burger: 5/5 FOOD WoW. I was pretty impressed with the burger here. That's what I came here for and I wasn't disappointed. Though initially skeptical of the pretzel bun, it wasn't dense and actually worked pretty well for the burger. The patties were cooked to a great medium / medium rare which I appreciated it. The cheese also worked really well. But what made it great for me was the meal overall. The dill pickle spear and the crunchy, super well salted waffle fries on the side were a great accompaniment with the burger. Really, really good. If there was one critique, it would be that the combination of the bread and butter pickle used in the burger + the sauce was a tad on the sweet side, which I didn't love. It would have been great if the dill pickle would have been used in the burger - that could have added a bit more balance. AMBIANCE This restaurant is all vibes. The upstairs was brimming and the heated outdoor seats were also full. So I started getting a bit upset when the host led me downstairs to my table. But I was surprised! The party is all downstairs. The ambiance was super relaxed and it was quite spacious. I loved it. SERVICE Service was fast and pretty standard. Nothing to talk about here given I just got the burger. Overall, I was really impressed. I'll have to come back here for the pizza next time.

It's always hard to review pizza cause opinions about it are hard to move and based on personal preference and regional conditioning. But I truly believe wherever you come from you would at least be able to agree Mollys makes an above average pie. To me it's elite it sits among the best pies in the city and yes that's an option based on my preferences but it seems like I'm not alone in that opinion. Get the Lucca but really you can go wrong.

The Emily double stack burger was fantastic and juicy! I think it would be helpful to offer the burger as a single patty as it’s quite a lot of food (UK based where portion sizes are smaller). I also didn’t love the waffle fries so it would be great if you could offer standard french fries too.

Unbelievable burger. It’s a pizza place with amazing looking pizza but half the people in the restaurant ordered the burger and for good reason. The sauce they put is amazing and should be bottled up. The cheese and amount they put is perfect too and the waffle fries are delicious. This is definitely my top 2 or 3 burger. If the meat was marinated a little more like it is at Fish Market this would easily be the best burger in the city. Looking forward to coming back.

This restaurant was hyped up a little more than it actually was. We got the Emily Burger, the Hawaiian Pizza, and the Cheesy Garlic Sticks. Out of everything, the Cheesy Garlic Sticks were amazing!!! They truly hit the spot. The burger was just okay. It wasn’t the best burger I’ve had but the pretzel bun was a different and great taste to add to the typical burger. The pizza just tasted greasy and although the chili sauce added some great flavor, it just wasn’t our favorite.

This is one of the best burgers I’ve had in NYC. I’ll tell you why: the pretzel bun is so unique. It’s dense, not dry, and adds a nice sweet flavor. It’s a double patty burger but doesn’t feel as heavy as a double. The meat is high quality. The cheese is so flavorful too. The Emily sauce is a almost like a dark, smoky bourbon sauce, also very unique. I wish there was more sauce on my burger. The side of waffle fries is HUGE! Totally worth it if you’re into fries. They’re seasoned and crunchy, we loved them. Service was average. Get a reservation! Btw, dipping sauces are $2 each! They didn’t tell me that when I asked for a few sauces. It was crowded, they pack you in pretty tight so it’s quite noisy for good conversation. Nevertheless, fantastic restaurant!

This place is great, good interiors, reasonably priced, very friendly staff and pleasant vibes. Went on a Sunday afternoon without reservation luckily got a table for 4 quickly. They have seating below too but would recommend getting the upper indoor seating. For food we got the famous burger (worth the hype and comes with great waffle fries), hot chicken pizza and cheesy garlic sticks. No doubt about the burger, that's amazing. Pizza and sticks were okay, thick bready layer with cheese. If you are a fan of that food it is good but nothing different than usual. Got the Just Like That cocktail, that was very nice. Overall, a great place to visit.

Let’s cut to it. The burger is $24 and it’s good but not better than The Smith or 5 Napkins. Now those burgers do not come with fries for $18 so when you include the huge portion of waffle fries then it’s comparable. The pizza is not my thing but I guess it’s the style. The restaurant is in a great location, the staff are nice and if you sit outside, great people watching. It’s a little bit overpriced, over-hyped and in the area that appreciates those qualities

The Nashville hot chicken pizza was delicious! It’s Detroit style so the crust is really thick but it was so good! I think this stands out compared to the rest of the pizzas in New York because it’s unique. They are also apparently known for their burgers, will definitely be going back to try that!

My order: -Red light/green light -old fashioned -colony pizza -pepperoni pizza (GF) This place was excellent. Very good drinks. Reasonably priced. But what we’re all here for: great pizza! I will say it’s a nice contrast to the classic NYC thin slice. And the flavor was very complex. I feel like that’s typically lost on a pizza, and it was found at Emily! I can’t wait to come back and try more pizzas.
