After a $300 trip (270 + 30 tip) the driver stole my deceased father's lawn trimmers. It was night & I was told the driver took the car home after trip. Company said they had working cameras in car during trip & could review recording. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. No way he could miss the huge trimmers in the back. This was intentional. He helped unload bags & assured me there was nothing else in the back. LIED. I not only tipped him but allowed him in my home to use the bathroom & make sure he was alert before taking the Long evening return drive. A company that would allow their employee to steal from a $300 trip customer says a lot. Trimmers had more sentimental value than actual replacement cost. I take that trip weekly & thought I'd found a new reliable company to hire. How this was handled is a lesson & divine sign about the trustworthiness of this service. I was good to that driver & forgive him. The karma of a thief is for God to decide. 🙏🏼

This place is the worst. Operators are rude and will lie right too you!!!. I called a car they say 10 minutes 10 minutes later they say yeah 10 minutes. Today takes the cake the cancelled my car without notifying me after waiting the 15 minutes they said it would be they said 5-10 minutes. When they call It was disconnected both times so I went right downstairs no car...call them back and they say no cars in the area. Clearly one just left or was never there to begin with. TAKE YOUR SERVICE ELSEWHERE!!! DONT WASTE YOUR TIME...you can't get that back!

Called a cab for a friend and the dispatcher was so rude, disgusting, and disgraceful. Your staff is rude, nasty, and narcissistic. I will continue to call to speak to management about you( you know who you are) until something is done. A bunch of drunk, rude, cigarette-smoking slobs work here.

This b.s car service is the reason why people have to resort to Uber and lift. The Dispatcher constantly lies tells you every 5 minutes your car will be there and it never shows. If your in a rush or need quality service DO NOT call this car service. When a Dispatcher lies nonchalantly to you its never a good thing . Low integrity, way to expensive.

I booked my car several days in advance and called several times to make sure all was confirmed. On the day of my flight, they did not show up. When I called, they told me they had overbooked and it would be at least 15 minutes. I called a friend, woke her out of a dead sleep and she came to get me. HORRIBLE!!! Overbooked??? Excuse me? I literally just made my flight. Terrible experience.

Reliable friendly service

Now I'm really not one to complain but I'm going to give whoever uses this car service a heads up. Do not use them if you're going to work, an event or anything of that matter. Price is 100% reasonable. They do not handle high volume and do not let you know accurate eta times. Waiting for an hour and late for work again. Back to MTA which is surprisingly more reliable.

What can I say other than horrible. I scheduled a 9 pm ride on New Years Eve from a restaurant to go back home via the app at 11:42 am. I then called to confirm the ride right away and the gentleman said it was confirmed and everything was good. We went to the restaurant, had dinner and I proposed to my girlfriend. Then 9:00 pm came around when we wanted to home and tell our families we were now engaged. No car at the restaurant. I then called and was told they were busy and it would be 5 to 10 minutes. After waiting 10 minutes, we called again. Then to be told it was going to 30 minutes to an hour. Then they said no cars were available and they canceled the ride. I was instantly notified via text message that it was cancelled. We then needed to call a family member for a ride home. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE AND THEY WILL LEAVE YOU STRANDED, EVEN ON WHAT COULD BE ONE OF THE BEST NIGHTS OF YOUR LIFE.

Needs to get shut down!! Just waited 2 hours for a cab that never came, did not notify. Called 3 times to check in— took my phone number address and 15 minutes away from where they are located yet waited 2 hours for them to tell me “it’s not in our system” Pathetic car service. Do better or don’t do business.

never reliable. have to wait 25+ minutes for a cab that will never come! but if you do happen to get a cab, they are clueless on where to go! but i bet you need crack they know where to go super fast!

Clove lakes drivers are great. However the waiting can be over an hour and dispatch will lie about estimated time of arrival. There service use to be much better. Hopefully they will improve.

I only have good words for their service. Since I do not drive and I needed to go to SI University hospital, I took many trips and their drivers are very respectful, on time, the cars are clean, the service is prompt, the phone app excellent and when calling the base they answer rapidly and always trying to help. I am very thankful for the attention they provided me!

Have taken many rides to airports over the years. Prices are good as well as drivers. Dispatchers are great and always take the correct info. Cars are a toss up, Wish they were a bit more consistent. Sometimes I get a nice clean car other times I have had smelly ones. Hygiene and cleanliness are important make sure these cars/drivers are on point and you will get 5 stars

This car service is the best in Staten Island. I use it for many years. They a quick to send a car for pick up. Very polite and professional customer service. Cats are clean, drivers are nice. It also reasonable priced. I recommend it.

My family has used Clove for over 30 years, and have had decent experiences overall, but this most recent experience has more than ruined them forever, for me. My uncle has cancer and was having a PET scan when he learned that his wife had just passed away at the hospital in the same area where he was being tested. So when the cab showed up to take him home, he asked the driver to take him to his wife, instead. The driver REFUSED, saying he'd miss out on too much money. My uncle had to bribe him with $10 in order to get him to drive him around the corner! If that's the kind of people Clove has working for them, I want no part of it.

Called the dispatcher earlier in the day, expressing out needs to arrive at a destination in Manhattan at a specific time. I called twe.ty minutes earlier, to be safe. Car arrived 40 minutes later than suggested departure time, so we gave up, and found another ride. Won't use them again.

Booked a car to take me to the train with 3 hours notice. When I called to check in, 5m after my pickup time, they said it would be a while because they had no one in my area. What was the point? Glad I didn't prepay. Don't bother.

We tried calling and ordering a car for our neighbor who’s fallen on some hard times. The dispatcher was incredibly rude and hung up on us twice. You’re better off ordering an Uber.

I've used this car service everytime I find myself on Staten Island. Which is at least 2x month for business. My most recent experience was not stellar as I called to reserve a car and it took over 1 hour to get a ride. This was the first tome if ever had an issue all other times were a dream.

My mom is a corneal transplant patient who needed to get in and out of the City to her doctor and we are beyond happy with this service. We are grateful for the care given to her with her limited sight and not being tech savvy. George and Sal were very professional, on time and polite and great to talk with. We highly recommend this service and we will continue to use this service.

The car service as a whole is a good service. Way better then Newport and Dejoy is just horrible. However, their Russian drivers are rude and they speed!

I ordered a taxi from 342 van name avenue to the ferry terminal , the taxi driver was awful. He was driving with one hand looking back at us and made me pay through my debit card while he was driving. On the front seat he left his belongings there and refused to give me seat at the front . It was cold inside the car he never turned the heater on . He dropped us at a dangerous part of the ferry terminal and we could have got run down by other car. This guy is not safe at all and he doesn't treat his customers with respect. I have been using taxis from this company in the past but never had a bad experience like today.

I had no problems there service 😐until the day i needed a ride to work ! No cars Available Unbelievable !!! If anyone needs to get to work please don’t use them ! Very unreliable ! They Lost a customer I’m never going to call them again

Not so bad. I use them a lot with access a ride and the drivers are pretty good. They are late sometimes but nobody’s perfect!

I scheduled a 7:30 am pick up for following day for work.. Baby sick, dad needs his car in case he needs to go to pediatrician. I have to be at the office by 8::15 am. I call them they tell me they have a drop off 1st. 30 minutes later nothing, so I call and the dispatch hangs up on me several times. Save your energy and stress DO NOT USE THEM. I rarely write reviews. This is unacceptable . I never treat my clients this way. Uber arrived in 2 minutes! Never again.

I reserved a car a day in advance for my ride to the airport. I received a text in the morning and the driver showed up 15 mins before I had to leave so I highly recommend using Clove Lakes Cars.

Better then most car services companies that have services Staten Island over the many years I have ordered, used, needed, and experiences calling and riding with/via car service/taxi cabs. Not my favorite service all time or currently, but I would definetly consider Clove Lakes Cars and the service they provide (how long it takes on average for pick-up, customer services experience on the phone, route knowledge and courtesy/overall service of their drivers) to at the very least be respectably sufficient.

Taking an Uber from Eltingville to EWR was nearly 90 dollars for a 20 minute trip. Clove Lake did it for 60. They showed up on time and got me there efficiently. It was a mid day trip, not a busy time.

I did use their services to go to the Cape Liberty cruise port in New Jersey (From Staten Island, New York). I did not use their application. I did reserve a taxi transport in advance (both ways) with their dispatcher. They showed on time each time, the drivers were friendly, professional and drove safely. They are also of good value if you compare with the competition (Ex. Uber, Lyft, etc...). I do recommend them and I will use again their services if I am in the area in the future, thanks guys!

Would use this car service every time I need a ride in Staten Island NY.Their computer savvy system is like using Uber but priced better.They show up on time and text you a picture of your car and driver.I highly recommend this service.Use it a lot when I am in NY.

So Impressed and thankful for this place. They were Excellent for me & my family. Highly recommended! They were right on time & super Helpful taking my special needs Brother from Staten Island to Newark Airport at 4:30 am! Reasonably priced, too, compared to all the other limousine companies.

Only thing good about this company is the price. But at this point would rather pay Uber/Lyft prices if it gets me to work on time. Never know how long the wait will be for your car, even when booking in advance. Dispatcher is never any help, card readers in the cabs barely work, drivers who will smoke in the car. Some drivers will drive extremely reckless, others drive like you have no where to be. Very inconvenient most the time. Only use if you aren't running on a schedule and trying to save a few bucks
