Upon
arrival
at
the
property
late
in
the
evening
it
seems
utterly
impressive,
however
once
the
wow
factor
passes
and
you
see
this
hotel
in
the
daylight
many
things
begin
to
dawn
on
you.
It's
tired
and
in
dire
need
of
a
fresh
coat
of
paint
and
a
soft
refurbishment,
one
can
see
mould
all
over
the
ceiling
in
the
atrium,
the
carpets
and
furniture
around
the
property
are
past
their
used
by
date
and
the
men's
toilets
are
smelly
and
dirty.
Puplic
spaces
are
so
vast,
that
it
the
hotel
mostly
looks
empty
and
abandoned
and
lacks
atmosphere
as
it's
just
too
big
to
fill
up.
My
sea
view
room
whilst
nice
and
very
large
was
riddled
with
problems
during
our
stay.
Upon
arrival
the
TV
did
not
work
properly,
some
stations
had
a
picture,
but
no
audio.
Some
with
audio
and
no
picture!
Given
this
is
Brunei
at
10pm
in
the
evening,
there
isn't
a
lot
one
can
do,
one
can't
even
stream
content
as
the
TV
is
as
old
as
the
hotel
and
lacks
smart
connectivity
and
no
coffee
machine
in
the
room.
Fail!
Note:
The
TV
was
rectified
the
following
day,
however
upon
our
departure
it
was
playing
up
again,
but
I
had
given
up
at
this
stage
and
just
wanted
to
fly
home.
Furthermore,
on
our
second
day
of
our
two
night
stay
our
bathroom
stunk
of
sewerage,
it
was
dealt
with
quickly,
but
the
smell
took
ages
to
dicipate.
Lighting
in
the
bathroom
was
also
a
disaster,
with
some
lights
in
cool
white
and
some
in
warm
white,
clashing
with
each
other.
Service
was
ok,
certainly
not
polished
or
at
a
level
expected
for
a
hotel
at
this
price
point
and
supposed
calibre.
Example,
upon
arrival
I
had
to
usher
someone
for
assistance
with
the
bags,
multiple
staff
chatting
with
each
other
or
on
their
phone
texting.
Breakfast
quality
was
ok,
but
the
service
and
atmosphere
was
lacking,
I
actually
had
a
chat
to
the
food
and
beverage
manager
about
this
after
our
experience
and
did
not
return
for
breakfast
on
day
two
and
drove
into
town
to
try
a
local
cafe.
Lastly,
the
lagoon
pool
is
massive,
but
where
is
the
landscaping?
It's
just
all
concrete
and
pebble
rocks,
besides
a
few
palm
trees
and
other
feature
trees
there
is
little
in
the
way
of
tropical
gardens
etc
to
soften
the
area
and
make
it
feel
lush
like
you're
in
the
tropics.
Furthermore
the
furniture
is
old
and
in
need
of
replacement,
as
are
the
towels
by
the
pool
and
in
the
rooms
which
were
stained
or
torn.
Plastic
rubbish
/
waste
on
the
beach
in
front
of
the
golf
course
is
plentiful,
which
you
could
see
from
your
room
or
the
glass
atrium
in
front
of
the
lift,
clearly
not
a
priority.
Environmentally
I
would
score
this
hotel
1
out
of
5,
single
use
plastic
galore
in
the
bathrooms,
plastic
water
bottles
etc
they
need
professional
management
clearly.
Concluding
this
review,
stay
if
you
wish
to
see
it,
have
low
expectations
as
to
not
be
disappointed
as
it's
really
nothing
special
and
just
a
big
empty
building.
