This place has been here forever, and though the quality has been slightly lacking of late - I think some people reviewing this spot need to remember that it's tough times for everyone recently and the food industry has been struggling to keep up with demands and this place is still a down home swing every time I eat here. The people here have always been kind to me, the service has always been speedy and fast, and the portion sizes have been great. I've been going here since I was knee high to a grass hopper and food has always been good. PS if you want ice with your drink, you order a fountain drink not the can.

Absolutely horrible experience. Let's start of with the generic Wal-Mart drink menu pictured below (no ice) by the way. The amount of food is about half of what you would get at any other Asian take out. My meal literally tasted worse than the Chinese in a can you'd get at the grocery. 4 tables in the restaurant- only one was clean. No public restroom. Junky and dirty. This place is a shadow of what it used to be a few years back. Will not be returning. Would give it zero stars if I could.

The only reason they're getting 2 stars instead of one is because they have the best crab rangoons around, but if they mess up on your order they make you feel like it was your fault. They don't own up to anything they do wrong. I ordered two sweet and sour chickens, they put the chicken into the pan while it was scalding hot, and it melted the lid to my chicken. They would not do anything to fix the situation. My other container was worse. I ended up throwing it away, everything was uneditable. My second container wasn't as bad. I was able to salvage most of it. Now that I told them I was giving them a bad review they won't stop calling my cell phone this is the third call! It's sad this used to be my 2nd favorite Chinese restaurant out of all the Chinese restaurants I've eaten at and nows it's lucky to make my top 20! The only reason I go there is for the crab Rangoons. Golden star on Taylor Blvd needs more locations. They are hands down the best!!!

First time here but food was great and speedy service. Staff was friendly and as far as plp complaining about the soda not having ice they come free with a combo platter so really y complain? The crab ragoons are amazing and the pork egg rolls totally worth the price got my kids food as well and they ate happily. As far as portion sizes everything was filled to the brim for our first time her was very happy with the service and food so glad we could even walk here we live so close!

We have been getting take out from here for over 15 yrs but in the last year or so it's gone down hill significantly. Today was our second order in the last month. We wanted to try it again bc the first order was not good & it let us down once again. They used to have the BEST crab ragoons & shrimp egg rolls in town but not anymore, they were over cooked with no flavor & my chicken also had no flavor at all, it was super disappointing. They also switched out their drink selections with off brands, I would rather pay more for the good stuff then to settle for the cheaper stuff. This unfortunately will be our last time ordering from here :(

Orange Chicken - taste okay, nothing too exciting Fried Rice - The fried rice was really good. I didn’t even need any sauces for it Broccoli - The broccoli was pretty tough. I didn’t enjoy it. Overall, I would say my meal was a 3.5 out of 5. Thank you for being open on the 12/25!

Food is great! The best Chinese food I've had since being is Louisville. Prices are good.

I ordered some crab ragoons, orange chicken, and white rice. The crab ragooons were pretty good, but the orange chicken was okay. It was cold though.

Ordered a to go order of house Lo mein. I think It may have had one shrimp no vegetables? This used to be a very good place and there Lo mein was good had alot of vegetables in it. The only thing I got that was good was my egg roll and there new tea.

Just tasted the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. It was so bad I had to throw it away. It’s a shame because it used to be a really good place to eat. Ordered Teriyaki Shrimp and an order of General Tso Chicken

This used to be the best place to get take out Chinese. Last two time I have been there they have forgotten part of my order and the food has not been the same. Lo mein has not been good at all dry and we just have not eaten. Food quality has went way down. We will not be going back for the price we had to pay and throw away what we thought was chicken chow mein and what we got was terrible.

I have eaten at Chong Garden many times and I have never had a bad experience. The staff is very nice and the food is delicious.

The fried chicken appetizer tasted like 1 million year old chicken from deep freeze.🥶 The Shrimp Broccoli was mushy and sugary sweet😣. less than expected😖should’ve cooked at home🏡! -later agreed to full refund if we bring back all 🍱 food. Agreed!

I'm pregnant and this has always been mine and baby's favorite place to get good portion food for the price, have left overs if people still do that, it's still always so good, she dances for it

Tonight I ordered kung pao chicken, crab Rangoons, and noodles and you give me nothing but fried left overs?!?! And 2 things of white rice?!?! Never again will I waste my money on this place. This was a door dash order and they clearly were to lazy to make my order! Worst restaurant experience I've ever had!

I rated five stars crossed the board for this place. It's nothing fancy but does well as a neighborhood chinese takeout restaurant. Everything ordered was delicious hot and fresh. Just what I was looking for.

Me and my family have been eating here for over 25 years . I recently moved out of town and still travel back here once a month only Chinese food we will eat!! Love this place

So I looked at their website and said they delivered. When I called to order they said they don't deliver, so I drove their for take out cuz I was in the mood for Chinese and they are closest to me. All my food was great minus the chicken lo mein was not the best.

Ordered hot and spicy Mongolian beef but got regular. Beef was to tough to chew.

Food was good though was a bit sweet for general tso, imo

The staff is nice and friendly, service was fast, food fresh and delicious and they serv you plenty of it. Recommend m, definitely coming back. 🙌🏿

It was odd getting service from someone in middle school, but good food, and we've been back at least once. Their "Wall of soda" lunch specials are really cheap too.
