This is my go to spot when I just need to get outside for a little bit, within walking distance of most of Olyphant. Lots of open space for kids or dogs to enjoy themselves, the loop trail that goes around the park is an easy stroll that takes you along the Lackawanna River on the west side of the park and the railroad on the east side. The east side trail is now part of the Lackawanna Heritage Trail. There are also some covered picnic tables, basketball courts, a playground and plenty of parking in two lots accessable from the north end Susquehanna Ave or, North Valley Ave by the railroad tracks (seasonal).

Great park and trails, only down side is a lack of garbage cans on the trails, so you're stuck carrying dog poo for 3/4 of a mile before you find the the can either on the far side of the park from the trail head or over across the bridge on the peckville side. Don't let this minor gripe detract you from the place its really a nice walk in the woods and really a great location.

The park is maintained nicely. HOWEVER, where the splash pad is there are several holes in the actual pad which concerns me. Some are quite large, I just don't want the little ones tripping and falling. Other than that, that park/playground is really nice!!!

It is a nice park. Good walking paths, tennis courts and basketball courts. The childrens playground equipment is fair. Borough doesn't seem to give the park it the regular maintenance it needs though. Fortunately it is in a community that cares.

Great park with lots of amenities. There are plenty of things to do, and lots of fun trails to walk on.

splash pad has been ripped for years and now the drain is blocked. Apparently no one is tasked with the upkeep.

Really nice park! Quiet with plenty of open space plus basketball, tennis courts and a baseball field. Scenic walking trail goes over to another park in Peckville.

Some muddy areas next to the river. They have well-kept trails. Police patrolled. There is a great trail loop. Back trails are not paved but still good. Most of the back rails have no trash cans. Bring what you bring in out with you.

I have been going to this park off and on again for 20 something years. It's always been clean and taken care of. The people that go there are usually nice and polite. It's a beautiful walk by a river on a shady path. What more can you ask for. There are also exercise stations along the path as you walk. I would recommend this park and the path to anyone that wants a nice place to play a game of basketball or tennis. Afterwards you could cool down on nice quiet walk along the side of the river. I don't know if I should be so honest about this place because it might get too popular. Lol

Came here with my kids and when they opened up my bag to get out drinks they dropped one of their phones they play PokΓ©mon go on. The phone is worth nothing and it has no SIM card in it. There was four girls on their bicycle there but if anybody has information or has the phone or has seen the phone or can return the phone I'm offering a reward cash reward just to get my son's phone back so he can play his game. He's been playing that game for 4 years and he would really like his phone back. Until then it will remain locked and worthless to anyone who has a so if you could please put it somewhere where someone can find it and return it I would very much appreciate it. I believe his name and phone number is carved in the back of it as well.
