Very old mosque located in the main market of city. This mosque has now become a symbol of jhelum city.

I like it. Masjid is very clean and charming. Five times of prayer is regularly offered here by qualified IMAMS. Although it is a best platform for those childern who wants to study HIFZ E QURAN and ISLAMIC EDUCATION

Historic masjid with well organized management and complete guidence in any matter of life is available here. When someone see mufti shreef sahab his faith on Allah get freshness. Jumah prayer here is best of all as always. This masjid is old but beautiful and awesome environment for prayers. I stay there in ramazan for itteqaf, management people arrange sehri and aftari for almost 50 mautkifs everyday.

حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ ( اسلام لانے کے بعد قریش سے ) ڈرے ہوئے گھر میں بیٹھے ہوئے تھے کہ ابوعمرو عاص بن وائل سہمی اندر آیا ، ایک دھاری دار چادر اور ریشمی کرتہ پہنے ہوئے تھا ۔ وہ قبیلہ بنو سہم سے تھا جو زمانہ جاہلیت میں ہمارے حلیف تھے ۔ عاص نے حضرت عمر رضی اللہ عنہ سے کہا کیا بات ہے ؟ عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ تمہاری قوم بنو سہم والے کہتے ہیں کہ اگر میں مسلمان ہوا تو وہ مجھ کو مار ڈالیں گے ۔ عاص نے کہا ” تمہیں کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتا “ جب عاص نے یہ کلمہ کہہ دیا تو عمر رضی اللہ عنہ نے کہا کہ پھر میں بھی اپنے کو امان میں سمجھتا ہوں ۔ اس کے بعد عاص باہر نکلا تو دیکھا کہ میدان لوگوں سے بھر گیا ہے ۔ عاص نے پوچھا کدھر کا رخ ہے ؟ لوگوں نے کہا ہم ابن خطاب کی خبر لینے جاتے ہیں جو بے دین ہو گیا ہے ۔ عاص نے کہا اسے کوئی نقصان نہیں پہنچا سکتا ، یہ سنتے ہی لوگ لوٹ گئے ۔ Sahih Bukhari#3864 انصار کے مناقب Status: صحیح
