It was great! We weren't sure if we were allowed to go in but the receptionist was very welcoming and nice. She helped us choose our abayas, since women were required to wear one going into the temple. It is free to enter and borrow the clothes, and they have a variety of sizes. Children aren't required to wear them but it would show respect to wear attire that doesn't reveal much skin. Shoes are taken off before entering the courtyard. We had a guide that was funny and nice. He explained a lot about what materials were used to build the temple and how they practiced their religion. It was a fun experience and you could take all the pictures you'd want!

It's a good opportunity even for a non-muslim to know how a Muslim always lives, how serious they are and so on. In addition to that, I need hardly say it, but the English-speaking guides are very serious and full of faith, which is really impressive. Islam opens the door to everyone in the world. It's worth coming here to know that.

The Al Fateh Grand Mosque is the largest mosque in Bahrain where Muslims from other countries and locals pray and worship. Magnificent arabian architecture with a gigantic dome at the top point of the mosque which is worked with fiberglass. Moreover, the floor is made of Italian marble and a perfect chandelier which was brought from Austria. The entryways that add to the excellence of this mosque are made of teak wood from India. The entry is free and each group of visitors gets accompanied by a center tour guide who speaks set of preferred language. Make sure this place is on your bucket list when you visit the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The mosque is open for excursions daily from 9:00 to 16:00 (except Fridays) and is one of the few mosques in the area that is open and encourages non-Muslim visits. Please ensure that you dress appropriately for the mosque. Abaya and a headscarf are issued free of charge on the spot. The mosque is free to visit. Feel free to ask a lot of questions, in fact this is encouraged. The mosques are meant for prayer, so please note that during the prayer the mosque will be closed to visitors.

Always a beautiful place to witness and pray But it’s not just a place to pray, It’s a place to visit, visitors of all religions are most welcomed They do a tour inside the masjid There is a separate organised team for that. Do not miss out grand Eid open house, during Eid holidays There are classes and books Ladies prayer hall. Its the Grand masjid in Bahrain accommodating 5000 people plus inside only.

This is the largest Mosque in Bahrain. It has beautifully designed and the entrance is free. The mosque is open for everyone, non Muslims and to Muslims. They do have outfit restriction, if you are not following it, they have a room full of abbaya’s and Thobe which can be given free of charge to enter in the Mosque. The only complain is as a Muslim, they didn’t offer any tourist guide to us or even ask which was being offered to non muslim. I really wanted to know the historical background of the Mosque.

The tour and explanations at AI Fateh Grand Mosque were amazing! Our guide was kind, passionate about his work and managed to grasp and learn so many cultural and religious aspects in such a short time. The entry is free, its very quick, they provide additional cloths to meet dress code. Apart from the guided tour, the architecture of the mosque was impressive. A very calm, inspiring place and a must visit!

Fateh is a large, historical, and beautiful mosque in the center of the island that boasts a list of materials that have come from all over the world. The center will provide cover for those not dressed appropriately and offers guided tours every 30 minutes. The tour is not so much about the mosque but more about Islam in general. Suggested visit for first time visitors in Bahrain.

I visited the Mosque on August 4th around 11AM. I am an Asian female (American) and visited the mosque with my 5-years-old daugther with another Asian Male friend who was visiting me in Bahrain. We had a guide (a female in full coverage abaya-- found her name: Miriam) with us. This is the second time I am visiting the mosque, and I have lived here for 3 years. During this time and numerous encounters with Bahrainis, I can say I have never experienced such a disrespectful person towards my religious belief. For your information, we were extra open-minded and listened to her speedy demonstration with all our ears, asking questions and taking photos. My friend works for the UNESCO, and we both are extremely cosmopolitan citizens who present respects and appreciation towards people with different backgrounds. When she found out that we are Christian and Catholic, Miriam literally insulted our God (Jesus) and showed most insinuating gesture with some nose-laughing and exaggerated expression: she acted as if she is in disbelief that I believe in crucifixtion, saying "what~? you believe in crucifixion???!!!" "your daughter is Christian? ha!!!--- [-], your daughter is not Christisn, she is Islamic until she reaches puberty and chooses her religion!" Then, she just said the rudest things in super speedy tone without any reservation -- basically implying that we are stupid to believe in my God. I was appalled, but we are such diplomatic people, simply told her that we dont want to go into the argument and shoved it away. However, hello?~~~ this is just not acceptable! this woman shouldn't work here in the mosque representing your religion and guiding the multinational community with different religious backgrounds. Please show some respect! You have no knowledge about Christianity! So, stop bashing it out! You cant dare tell who my daughter is. I had a positive attitude towards your religious community before, but this visit completely changed my mind towards Muslim. However again, i hope this lady is not a good representation of your religious community, and I hope the mosque take a serious action against this disrespectful behavior. Please!

Free to access. Do tours in multiple languages which is very nice and gives you a flavor of the culture. Very peaceful. Worth the visit. Takes approx 20-45 mins depending on how long you want to listen to the tour. Staff/volunteers are very nice and welcoming to out of country visitors. Large car parking space. There is a small mall opposite.

Al-Fateh Grand Masjid, Manama, Bahrain (23/01/2024) This is one of the largest Masjids in Bahrain. Located right at the centre of Manama. It was built in 1987 and has a capacity of over 7000 people. The interior of the building is a mixture of modern and traditional style. Alhamdu’lillah, I was fortunate to attend the Maghrib prayer and enjoyed the beautiful recitation by the local Imam. There were about 200 people during the prayer. The atmosphere was very calm and quiet, especially when I was walking outside around the building. Local people were very friendly and welcoming. May Allah(swt) guide us all in the right direction. How do I explain this experience? I'm still in awe of the beauty! From entering down an elevator in a bldg far away from Mosque, to an underground "mall". After you walk through the mall, there are escalators that take you through tunnels to get on the grounds. All throughout the tunnels are pictures of political famous persons that have vital this astounding piece of art! The Mosque itself is built of sheer beauty with thought out precious gems precisely placed within the columns, walls, floors, and decor. It is absolutely breathtaking to visit such a massive piece of art. This is a MUST see day and night! Tip...the Mosque changes colors at night depending on the moons phase. How cool is that??!!

(Translated by Google) This mosque was named the Al-Fateh Mosque, after the founder of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ahmed Al-Fateh, and the mosque was built by the late King of Bahrain, Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, in 1987. This huge mosque, spread over an area of 6,500 square meters, is the largest place of worship in Bahrain and one of the largest in the world. The mosque can accommodate up to 7,000 worshipers at one time. Made entirely of fiberglass, the giant dome of the mosque is the largest fiberglass dome in the world. The floors of the mosque are of Italian marble and the large chandeliers in the mosque are made in Austria. As for the decorative inscriptions on the walls of the mosque, they were written in an ancient script called Bahrain. In 2006 a library was added to the mosque, the library of the Ahmed Al-Fateh Islamic Center, and the library contains 7,000 books, some of these books are 100 years old, and some are older than that. Due to its unique Islamic architecture, Al-Fateh Mosque is one of the most important tourist attractions in Bahrain, and you can visit it any day of the week except for Friday when the mosque receives worshipers only. Tours to the mosque and library are available in several different languages. I went to the Mosque right when it opened at 0900. I got a free tour and learned so much! My tour guide was the sweetest women. She answered all my questions with great knowledge and patience. The inside of the Mosque is simply beautiful. Although it is only about 30 years old it has the geometric designs of a traditional Mosque Anyone visiting should definitely pay this a visit. It was worth every minute, and it was a great learning experience!

The Al-Fateh Mosque (also known as Al-Fateh Islamic Center & Al Fateh Grand Mosque) is one of the largest mosques in the world, encompassing 6,500 square meters and having the capacity to accommodate over 7,000 worshippers at a time. The mosque was built by the late Sheikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa in 1987 and was named after Ahmed Al Fateh. In 2006, Al-Fateh became the site of the National Library of Bahrain.

When ever I'll pass by this place I want to offer there. Simplicity is the best way to present yourself in-front of Allah

The Grand Mosque is one of Bahrain's most majestic landmarks. It's not on the same level as the Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi, but it's still truly a beautiful place of worship. The architecture is breathtaking and I love that although it's a tourist attraction, it still has the sanctity of a mosque and people aren't disturbed during prayer. I only wish they would make the area surrounding the mosque nicer instead of just an empty parking lot.

It's been a while since we've been to Bahrain's largest mosque, Al Fateh Grand Mosque. The mosque offers a free tour during Eid and it was a great experience, knowledgeable, helpful staff, a plethora of information and history and some great views. The mosque has always been well-maintained and there were free refreshments, a kids corner and books on offer Follow us on Instagram for more photos @TasteBudsBH

Mosque located at the cross roads in the city country Bahrain 🇧🇭 Allows access to non-Muslims and women with a free guide/counsel service. The rear side of the mosque houses the Ahmed Ali Fatah Islamic Center. The mosque has a nice courtyard laden with white marble. The different units and materials used in the construction have been imported from different countries for example the wood used in making doors was imported from India.

Muslims are renowned for both their lofty worldviews and their unwavering devotion to the Islamic faith. They are deeply committed to their religion, and they construct a huge number of elaborate mosques, each with a distinctive architectural style. After all, it serves as both their haven and the location where they worship Allah, their deity. One of the largest and most impressive mosques they constructed is the well-known Al Fateh Grand Mosque in Bahrain, which is frequented by both residents and visitors. It is also known as the Al Fateh Islamic Center or the Al Fateh Great Mosque. The mosque is one of the biggest in the world, with a 6,500 square meter land area and an astonishing capacity

Beautiful place to visit. The staff and guide was very helpful. As a non-Muslim I felt very welcomed and learned a lot. Highly recommend and will visit again.

Beautiful mosque. Free entrance. You can visit only with a guide — it's free and they provide guides in different languages. Also they provide free abayas for men and women for the time of your visit if needed. Tour groups usually are small, about 2-3 people. Guide will talk about the building itself and also about Islam in general, you can ask any questions if you have. The tour will take about 40 minutes, in the end of the tour they provide free books about Islam, you can take if you want. We visited during weekdays and there was almost no people at all, very peaceful ambient. I recommend to see this beautiful building from the inside and use the opportunity to learn about Muslim culture more.

Very peaceful and amazing place to visit. When visiting, ask for a guide! They are all very kind and polite. Don't forget to wear pants, no shorts are allowed. There is no need to book it in advance, unless it's a big group. It's definitely a must visit place.

One of the largest and most historic mosque in bahrain. It has mesmerizing architecture with elements from modern and historic designs. Clean and well managed facilities and services. Plenty of parking but it does get crowded in Jumma prayer. It is a must visit if you are visiting Bahrain.

Our recent visit to the Al Fateh Grand Mosque proved to be an unforgettable experience. The mosque's breathtaking architecture, characterized by a gleaming white facade and intricate dome, left us in awe. Every corner exuded beauty and tranquility. What truly left an impression was the exceptional hospitality extended to visitors. The staff ensured our comfort by providing free Abayas for my wife and elder daughter, allowing everyone to respectfully experience the mosque. The availability of both Arabic and English guides added to the delight. The guide engaged us with fascinating stories about the mosque's history and significance, turning the visit into an educational and enjoyable journey. We were particularly pleased to discover that guides in other languages could be arranged upon request, showcasing the mosque's commitment to inclusivity. A friendly piece of advice for families planning a visit: be mindful of prayer times, as non-Muslims are not permitted during these periods. Planning your visit accordingly can easily avoid any inconvenience. Overall, our family visit to the Al Fateh Grand Mosque was a treasure trove of enriching experiences. From the magnificent architecture and warm welcome to the insightful guides, everything combined to make it a must-visit for anyone in Bahrain. We wholeheartedly recommend it to families seeking cultural immersion or simply wishing to appreciate a breathtaking architectural wonder.
