Service was great - loved the complimentary starters. Chilo kabab was amazing and meat was tender and juicy. Ghormeh Sabzi was average and the portion wasn’t generous. Overall it’s one of the best Persian restaurants I’ve been to in Bahrain.

I’ve been coming to this restaurant for the last 20 years as I considered it the best Iranian restaurant anywhere period. Last week was my first visit since the pandemic and I was disappointed. The staff has changed including the host Ibrahim who was a fixture in the place. The food quality has taken a nose dive. Now don’t get me wrong they still serve excellent food but the comparison to old times is glaring. This was a 7 star place and now a 4.

I ordered joojeh kebab with French fries and it was not that good as the taste of garlic was more than anything else and my friend ordered ash reshteh and she said it was not good too. She said it had no salt and it had lots of garlic in it. Having said that, we had a good time as it was our friend's birthday and the singer sang for her which was great. Having the singer was an added point to the place.

Best Persian food in Bahrain Complimentary bread basket with cheese. We got the mixed platter - which was a must order item The Chello kebab and the Sabzi were top notch. Don’t forget to order the fallooda and bastani Service is perfect as well

This Iranian restaurant is located in the Gulf hotel, I DID enjoy the Iranian grills , it was very very delicious, during the weekend, they singer which was very cool.

The service was good, but they were missing some items on the menu and a limited wine selection. The bills were mixed up in the part so if your going with a group and paying as individuals expect to spend a little extra time sorting out the bills. The lamb shank was tender but no real flavor. The bread is outstanding though.

It's just wonderful. The best Persian restaurant I've ever visited in the gulf area, which offers the best reception and welcoming, highest quality food, and most comfortable and cozy dining area with a nice live music stage. Amazing experience, fantastic tasty Iranian food, and the service was great: the waiter was so so lovely and helpful. Special shoutout goes to Ariful Islam who was served up and was super helpful and always with a friendly smile. Thanks to his manager Yasmeen, too. There was also a live musician signing adding to the ambience.

Incredible mixed grill. I ordered the one with the most variety. Lamb filet, lamb kabab, fish and chicken all grilled using Iranian spices and it comes with 3 types of rice with various spices. Everything was amazing. The meats were juicy and tender, not dry.

As far as a Persian culinary experience goes, Takht Jamsheed is likely tops in Bahrain. Overall, the food is very good. However, once again, the service and ambiance is not what it was like pre COVID-19. This is almost true for all establishments across Bahrain. Parking at the Gulf Hotel can be hectic on the weekends. However, their is a large car park across the street if the hotel parking lots are full (or too tight to risk getting your doors dented). NSA Bahrain and prestige club membership discounts offered. AMEX and all other major credit cards are accepted.

Very expensive, it is a restaurant in the hotel, delicious food, but really very expensive,
