Beautiful mosque build on the edge of Jeddah corniche. The mosque is also called floating mosque because it is standing on the pillars of seashore. They have developed this area and we can enjoy the waves or the tides of the shore in evening or morning. Its also a sunset point. Parking space along the lines of the corniche road. Azaming scenery. Full of fun and can spend quality time with family and friends.

Worst experience ever. We reached the mosque at 5:15pm. It was closed. Locked. No one let us inside. The guard outside didn’t know how to speak English. And he started doing what Saudies do best. They shout and tell you to go away. Parked our car at the Yacht Club. Had to walk all the way to the mosque in the heat of September just to find out that the mosque is closed and Google maps has lied. Extremely underwhelming from the outside. And guess what, it’s not actually floating. It’s just on the harbour. If KSA wants to up their game to make Jeddah more open to tourism, destroying old buildings and making new tall ones is not gonna cut it. The administration/government should consider being more hospitable to tourists; starting with putting up polite people on jobs to help guide.

It was a long time ago but the memories still lingers, one of the unique mosque we visited when we were in Jeddah for one day transit after Umrah. It was by the beach and very lovely! Too bad didn’t have the chance to pray in it because we were in a hurry to the airport at that day. Wish I could go back!💖

The location of this mosque is amazing. It’s right on the water and there’s a lovely beach area on the side where families gather for picnics and children play safely. It’s nicely built however the ladies toilet could be better compared to other mosques in Jeddah. Very unique mosque and worth the visit :)

(Translated by Google) The first mosque in the world to be built on the surface of the sea, receives pilgrims and Umrah performers to visit it and is considered one of the most important landmarks in Jeddah, where the number of visitors to the mosque in 2009 reached 20,000 pilgrims and Umrah visitors of all nationalities. The mosque is a wonderful mixture of modern and ancient architecture and Islamic art, and was built with the latest technologies, equipment, and advanced sound and lighting systems. It consists of 52 external domes surrounding the mosque, in addition to the main dome - the large - with eight bases located in the middle. And 23 outdoor umbrellas. Embroidered on the outside and the inside with Qur’an verses written in several different scripts, such as naskh, al-rqa ', and diwani. The edges of the main dome contain stained glass that allows the passage of light - the rays of the sun - inside the mosque through 56 windows around the dome designed in the Islamic style, in addition to arabesques and inscriptions of Islamic walls and windows, and a wooden women's chapel - suspended - high in the middle of the last of the mosque, accommodating about 500 Serous. In addition to the mosque's service facilities, as it has designated places for ablution, toilets, and comfortable rooms for worship that are fully equipped. It is closed and impossible to get there - we tried walking and Uber and we were not able to get there, even trying multiple paths. So in theory it seems really beautiful - but it is unclear when you can visit from the outside again. According to a police men it may ve possible in March again but there is no official information. Rated 3 stars because it was not possible to do a comment without rating.

Beautiful place. Serene location. Quite a peaceful place to have an evening or early morning walk in Jeddah while enjoying the beautiful view of the Red Sea. There are hop on electric scooters for rental if you enjoy riding those. The food here is bit on the higher side which is due to the location. A regular coke can which costs 3SAR in the stores costs 8SAR here. Overall a good place to chill.

Alrahmah Mosque, nestled in the vibrant city of Jeddah, stands as a remarkable architectural marvel that captures the hearts and minds of its visitors. Its unique design gives the illusion of a majestic structure gracefully floating above the azure waters of the Red Sea. This captivating feature, coupled with its serene atmosphere and spiritual significance, makes Alrahmah Mosque a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike. Architectural Grandeur: Alrahmah Mosque is a testament to the harmonious blend of modern design and Islamic architectural traditions. The building's remarkable floating illusion is achieved through the strategic positioning of reflective surfaces and clever optical illusions. The mosque's pristine white exterior gracefully rises from the sea, creating an ethereal aura that enchants all who behold it. As you approach the mosque, you are greeted by a sweeping entrance adorned with intricate geometric patterns and calligraphy. The meticulously designed minarets reach for the heavens, reflecting the sunlight and casting mesmerizing shadows upon the shimmering water beneath. The seamless incorporation of glass and steel allows for an abundance of natural light, creating an atmosphere of tranquility within. Floating Serenity: Stepping inside Alrahmah Mosque, one is immediately immersed in a sense of serenity and calm. The vast prayer hall, with its soaring ceilings and expansive windows, provides breathtaking panoramic views of the sea. The interior is adorned with intricate Islamic artistry, from delicate floral motifs to meticulously crafted arabesque designs, all contributing to an ambiance of pure elegance. The prayer area is spacious, accommodating a large number of worshippers, yet maintaining an intimate and reverent atmosphere. The soft lighting and gentle sound of the waves outside create an ideal setting for reflection and prayer, allowing visitors to connect with their spirituality in a truly extraordinary environment. Cultural Significance: Alrahmah Mosque is not only a testament to architectural brilliance but also holds immense cultural and religious significance. As one of the prominent landmarks in Jeddah, it serves as a symbol of the city's rich history and devotion to Islamic traditions. The mosque welcomes individuals from all walks of life, fostering unity and promoting understanding between diverse communities.

Covering an area of 2,400 square meters, it is familiar on Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, especially from Indonesia. . It consists of 52 outer domes in addition to the main dome (the largest) with eight supporting pillars. There are 23 external umbrellas, beaded on the outside and inside with verses of the Qur’an. . Mosque is amazing. Clean and what a scenery to watch after the prayer. However this mosque is for tourist only. I prayed there and it was empty. I think I understand why: neighbors isn't adapted (noisy stands playing loud music or divertissement) and also the parking which cost 10 rials. I can understand Madinah parking isn't free, but there...no reason at all.

Al Rahma mosque beckons gently from the northern tip of Jeddah’s waterfront, a turquoise-domed structure built out across the Red Sea and anchored to the shore by a low-walled walkway. A local landmark, the structure is affectionately known as the ‘floating mosque’ for the white stilts that suspend it above the water’s edge. At high tide, glinting in the sunlight, the mosque appears to hover serenely over the waves below. Visitors come to wander the mosque’s open courtyard, admire its marbled elegance, and paddle in the nearby shallows. Over the years it has proved especially popular among Hajj and Umrah pilgrims, for whom Jeddah remains the gateway to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina, but it’s a favored stop for tourists too.
