Vyšehrad castle is amazing place. You can enter the castle through more main entrances. You can go up to the castle walls, where you can see a beautiful view to the city. The castle is clean and nice. It's pleasure to visit to here. It has statues, memorials, parks, church, cemetery, restrooms, winery and fountains. For us the castle wall is our favourite place, and what is yours?

What a magnificent place to visit in Prague. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Different parts of the area will give you different views of Prague. It is free to come and enjoy this beautiful place! Plenty of green areas for picnics, benches to recuperate, and fall colors to enjoy the fall vibes. Did I say it's free!? Plenty of area to wind down. I highly recommend visiting this place if you're ever in Prague--it is so worth it.

Walking around the entire area including the church and cemetery are all 100% worth it. The view is amazing and it is definitely quieter during the week. Because it's away from the center of Prague it allows for some quiet and just enjoying the scenery. Highly recommend adding this to your itinerary when visiting Prague.

Not many tourist know about this hidden jem! The place is great and the views are amazing. There is a graveyard you can go in for free, the cathedral you have to pay to get in and there is a museum where the real statues of the Charles Bridge are. I would definitely recommend coming here!

Not bad, but not as spectacular as other Prague places. Mostly nice because of its panoramic city and river views. There are 3 cafes and a free public toilet. Recommended for a quiet walk in the park, suitable for pets and children. You can see some interesting birds. Be prepared to walk up the stairs several dozens of steps.

Peaceful and beautiful place in Prague. It’s a bit far from the main squares and bridges which makes it even nicer because it doesn’t get as busy. You can also enjoy some coffee at one of the cafes. Visiting the church is a must! The paintings on the walls and ceiling are completely different from the rest in the city, one of the most beautiful I’ve seen personally. Overall, this place is lovely!

It is hard to find the entrance to this place. There is a small sign showing entrance. There are several stairs. I am not sure if there is another way to reach. This place is large and requires 5-6 hours. There is also basilica but unfortunately there was a concert and I couldn’t enter. There are several beatiful vista points. It is well protected fortress. There is also cemetery and I enjoyed visiting it. There are several restaurants and cafes to get food or drinks.

Beautiful Park beautiful area and great views of Southern Prague. For us the easiest way to get there was by taxi and it really made it much easier. Not a lot of places to eat or get a snack or something to drink but there are plenty of places to sit down and walk and enjoy the amazing views.

It was quite cool. The church there was nice and the vibe was cool. At the time we went there was a reconstitution with people dressing like in the old times. Food was nice too and quite cheap. There was a wedding at the church that's cool. U can visit the church for a cheap price. If you don't have time to visit this place it is not really a big loss. The church of the city center is better.

The entrance is free to this castle! It has a beautiful church and graveyard and a very shaded garden. On a hot summer day, it's the perfect respite from the heat and the crowds of old Prague.

It’s a park installed inside the walls of an ancient castle (that doesn’t exist anymore). Beautiful and relaxing place. Though it’s free, you have to pay for a ticket to the church, that is the main building of the area.

We highly suggest to visit Vyšehrad! It’s a bit far from the centre but it’s definitely worth a visit. It’s located on top of a hill, here you’ll find a very peaceful park (less tourists, more locals), the monumental cemetery (with famous tombs like Mucha’s) and the cathedral. Trust me on this, the cathedral deserves to be visited, the ticket costs 3,40€. In addition to all of this you’ll get the chance to admire Prague’s landscape from a different point of view!

You must visit the castle when in Prague. To get up there, you will most likely have to climb steep stairs ( from one side) but the view will be worth it! Loads to see at the castle, start early. You buy a ticket which is relatively cheap and you get to see 4 parts of the castle, it will take good 3 hours, even more if you want to see everything in details, we went with kids during the lunch time & that wasn’t good time plan, cause we all ended up starving! There’s a few restaurants up there, but they were full and fairly costly. So we went back to town & ate there. So plan your Timings well. Do go and see the “golden street” with all the little houses, coronation castle, amazing cathedral- so much to see. Enjoy!

Unbelievable! Amazing view to the city and riverside. The church with black exterior colour is exciting and worth to visit if you are in Vienna. Entrance is free Monuments next to church are amazing piece of art which completes this masterpiece

The exterior of the Basilica of St Peter and St Paul is dark and foreboding, but step inside and you are transported. It is like walking into a storybook with floor to ceiling art nouveau murals. I have been in countless churches and cathedrals, but have never seen anything quite like this. The complete grounds of Vysehrad are fascinating as well and provide beautiful vistas across the river to Prague Castle.

Nice historic place, ideal for taking walks along the castle walls. Away from city center therefore not too crowded. Easily accessible by tram or underground. The park, the trees, the lawn are well maintained and the atmosphere is very relaxing. We enjoyed the beautiful view of Prague from above.

Walk walk walk until you see all that is to offer. I walked up to the fortress not knowing what I was looking for. I came to the beginning of a tunnel and felt I’d seen all I needed to see. An older gentleman walking his dog pointed vigorously in the direction of the tunnel with a smile. I smiled and wave to him and continued forward. An amazing walk and view ensued. Gorgeous grounds and a beautiful church waited there to be seen.

I'm not religious but this place is absolutely stunning. We chose to go here as it is more secluded than the cathedral in the centre of Praha and read to try this instead. So glad we did! Quiet, stunning. I was truly in awe. Would recommend

The best place to visit in Prague. Although so much busier now with tourists just wanting a quick view and walk on, but there is so much beauty to absorb, if we just stopped to really look.

This is one of the loveliest look out points in Prague. Plus the church and the cemetery. Some refreshment is available in nearby restaurants but I've never had anything except for the wonderful view. Lots of history too. Go for the sunset, except to have company during nice warm evenings.

One of the most stunning buildings in all of Prague. The interior was stunning and rivals any church I've came across. The opportunity to light a candle for a small donation added to the occasion. A beautiful walk around the grounds with some stunning views of the city! Ine of the highlights of the trip but I was really not expecting it to be as good as it is !

Vyšehrad, away from the hustle and bustle of Prague, is a tranquil attraction where you can stroll along the remains of the ancient fortress. It offers a beautiful view of the city and the Vltava River. If you have the time and inclination, taking a walk here is a must. Additionally, you can visit the St. Peter and Paul Cathedral on the fortress grounds, although there is an admission fee for entry.

Vyšehrad is a hidden gem! The church and graveyard are exceptionally beautiful, providing a serene and captivating atmosphere. What's even better is that it wasn't crowded during our visit, allowing us to fully appreciate the tranquility. The presence of parking spaces inside adds to the convenience. A must-visit for those seeking beauty and peace in Prague!

Vyšehrad is a very beautiful church , with nearby chemistry and view points. The church is breath taking. The chemistry is gloomy but the atmosphere is very pleasant. If you have press card it will not work on entrance, you will still have to pay but is is worth it. Must visit if you are in Prague.

Vysehrad is an amazing place! It includes the beautiful Cathedral of St Peter and Paul, a big park, many warm places to have coffee or food and a nice view because it's quite high!! Definitely visit!!! I went there in January so the trees weren't blossomed but still it was worth it!!! There is a metro station called Vysehrad but you have to walk a bit. Don't worry! You'll find signs on your way there so you won't get lost!!! It was time for me to go when the lights went on so I got to see the cathedral bright!

It’s a lil bit of a walk up the stairs/walk up depending on which side you arrive at but the views are sooo stunning from the top. For some reason i was expecting a castle (lost in translation probably??) but this is actually an old fortress now. If you have some spare time it’s definitely worth checking out. Besides you can grab an ice cream on the premises and just chill in the park:)

It is a great miracle that such a magnificent and fascinating castle has come to this day intact. It is not possible to be impressed by the history of the castle, the historic cathedral in it, the charming cemetery, and the magnificent city view. Especially when you go to the cemetery, the graves of people who died during and after the second world war make you feel a lot. It's like a small town. It's also a pretty perfect place to go for a walk. I think if you're thinking of going there, at least try to spend a few hours there, and it's definitely worth it. 👌👌👌

Such a beautiful place. Easily walkable from Prague centre. It's such a chilled place as I assume lots of tourists don't bother but believe me you really should.

Awesome park. Also has the most beautiful and interesting cemetery I have ever seen.

Beautiful place to visit, the cemetery at the back of the church is really a treasure to hunt. Just go there and see it by yourself ❤️

Magical place with very special aura. Breath-taking views of Prague and the river Vltava. Very relaxing and peaceful, at least in January.

A spectacular sight to see! The adjacent gardens or parks were gorgeous, too, as well as the view of whole Prague :)

One of the Prague's precious jewels. Hundreds of years old Citadel with park walk ways covering it's parameter. Catacombs, almost 1000 year old rotund, basilica almost as old and much more.

A nice place away from the busy street. It's really big with a lot of small walking routes. Most of the attraction are not for free. However one can still admire the beauty from the outside.

Third time was the charm. Visited in 2015 and 2018, both times closed. Well worth the wait. Absolutely gorgeous inside.

It's a gorgeous place to visit and walk around. Definitely worth a visit, just a nice tranquil walk with so much history. The rotunda is dated around year 900 and is one of the oldest buildings in Prague.

Beautiful spot a little bit away from the main tourist destinations. After a short hike you will be rewarded with a stunning 360° view of Prague. There is a beautiful church as well and free public bathrooms. I can definitely can recommend walking around the park and enjoying the view.

Great. A must see place. This is a big area. You can spend a lot of time, you can run on the walls. There are cafes where you can eat. There is also a toilet and it's free and clean. When coming, it is easier to come by taking the stairs from the main road. but if you are coming by car, you should prefer the main entrance gate.

The most beautiful church in Prague. The walls, ceiling, pillars are all fully covered in paintings. Not a single surface isn't painted. This is gorgeous to see and I could easily just sit here for hours just looking at all those scenes painted everywhere.

A must visit place in Prague. It is not far from the city center, approximately a 30 min walk to get to the main entrance. The place is a fortress with a cathedral inside. The view of the city from the fortress walls is worth visiting. It is free to enter and there are some good places do sit and chill. Totally recommend!

Loved the atmosphere! Totally worth for a walk with great views over the city! And of course, the old buildings and structures that made it till today.

Beautiful place, such amazing view on nature. Pure pleasure all the greenery and the ancient remnants. Beautiful view on the river and the city of Prague from top. I enjoyed every second there. Highly recommended!!

Extremely beautiful. A bit hard to reach there as it's located on high, but when you reach, you feel it's worth. From the top, you can have a beautiful sight of Prague. Here's a church, a beautiful cemetery and even a cafe.

  • 4/5 Barbara H. 1 year ago on Google
A bit out of the way, got there by public transport but a lack of signage was a bother. Quite high up so we took a second tram and it got us to the top with only a small climb left. Lovely English speaking guide, helpful maps with more accurate information might have been better, generally a pleasant experience. Great that it was included in Prague's CoolPass.

What an amazing spot in the city of spires! The church was absolutely stunning to see with its painted ceilings. The Jewish Graves were fascinating to walk around (some of the sculptures were just amazing to see) and the place had an overall calm and relaxed feel about. The wall walk allowed for some incredible views over the city. There are toilets and a cafe with a good choice of food. Definitely recommend checking this area out, especially if you want some quiet from the main city 😊

  • 5/5 Ajade 1 year ago on Google
Lovely place plenty of things to see a good walk with plenty of fresh air. Small fee to see inside the church translated to £3.37. Which isn't alot. So much art had gone in to that building and its beautiful inside and out. I would recommend seeing. There is cafe near by and also a gift shop and the view you can see over the river is lovely. All paths are cobbled a bumpy ride if in wheel chair or pram the majority is wheel chair and pram accessible. The church it's self has a few steps leading in to it but no ramp I could see. There is also outdoor play area for kids.

Really nice place to have a good view of the city. Really chill and quiet with quite an interesting history. A big church and some old buildings. There is a cafe/restaurant and a toilet on the western part of it. It is worth a try when in Prague. Allocate at least half a day to it.

Beautiful views of Vitava River and Prague. Accessible by trams, the fortress is open to the public. The walk along the fortress wall offers fantastica views of Vitava River and Prague, with lots of benches provided to rest and contemplate. It took us roughly 1.5 hours to complete a loop with lots of photo stops and rests. There is also a cemetery, church, park grounds and an underground gothic cellar (paid) to explore.

A brilliant attraction in Prague, a short 10 minute tram journey from the Old Town centre. There is no need to purchase a ticket in advance and it is an ideal spot to look out over the city.

  • 4/5 Scott 9 months ago on Google
Nice castle. Free to enter most of the grounds but there’s one section where the tiny house are which has a few. You can go in the early evening however, after closing and see it for free! Lot of crowds as expected. People everywhere! Like and follow ✌️🙏🙂

We didn't go in. We walked around the graveyard, which has Dvorak buried within it. We also sat in the quite gardens, which is nice and chilled out. We though there was no cost to the building, but definitely is. Aren't as many steps as thought, been to many a place with more.

Beautiful park atop an old fortress that offers stunning views of the city as you meander through the shade of its oaks. Easily reachable via tram. I would rate this a walking-heavy, almost hike-like experience.

Take the tram no 2 from the bridge Manesuv, you'll be rewarded with a pleasant journey along the Danube. Once you have reached your stop, it is a 15mns walk up to the hill, from which you will have a great view of the city and river. The entrance fee is 180Cr and well worth it: the interior is spectactular!! It looks as if decorated by Mucha! From floor to ceiling, an explosion of art-deco colors and patterns: stunning!! Because of its remote location, this monument is much less crowded than other parts of the city: very enjoyable!

If you're tired about the crowd, it is a place for you. Little bit further from the most known attractions. Interesting church and peaceful atmosphere can calm you down and take new breath before next crowded tourist attractions.

I visited here for a short time in the raining weather. It is a good place for a walk but not with the baby stroller. Overall, it has nice atmostphere and how they managed to treat the passed people was pretty impressive. Cheers!

We visited the fortress, the Peter and Paul Basilica and the cemetery. We came early on Sunday morning because the heat is now unbelievable. The fortress has excellent viewing platforms with views of the Vltava and the city. Since it was early, all the museums were still closed. But we looked at the basilica and the cemetery. Outstanding personalities of the Czech Republic are buried in the cemetery, including the composer Dvořák. A very interesting place.

Cool secluded fortress. Spent a couple hours strolling the cobbled streets and walkways. Would recommend for some alone time and to see the impressive church and fortress structure.

Such a lovely place, far from the crowds of old town. The views are stunning from the top of the fortress. It is such a peaceful place and so much to do for no cost. If you have some extra time it it worth making your way over to the fortress.

A beautiful sight with the neo Gothic church dominating the hill overlooking the Vltava river with amazing views all over Prague. It is surrounded by a huge park ideal for a picnic and beloved by yoga enthusiasts. This place is less touristy than other parts of the city although it is wonderful to look at. Also, there are lots of cafés and restaurants around the area where one can sit and enjoy this historic site. It is easily accessible by metro.

Beautiful and peaceful. Less-touristy place. Really nice to go for a quiet picnic. You need to pay a ticket to enter the church, but other than that. It's free.

Magnificent cathedral with huge detailed vivid paintings on the wall. Architecture and design is excellent. The only downside is that it requires walking to the top about 1 km from the city ground level but it totally worth it. Also, there is an old cemetery and an average view of the city.

On 10th century was build a Fort just 3km far from Prague Castle. On the Fort has a Basilica of Saint Peter e Saint Paul and a cemetery with many of famous prague people. YOU have to pay t9 see inside the Basilica. With an excellent view , you can do a pic nic in the area as well eat and drink at the cafe located in front to the Basilica. DEFINITELY A PLACE TO VISIT.

Peaceful fortress, basilica, and graveyard from Prague’s kingdom age Highly recommend making the trek south of Prague to explore the fortress. The fortress dates from the 10th century (before the other historic buildings in Prague). St. Peter and Paul Basilica is a grand church building. The graveyard is the burial site of many famous Czech composers and artists. The fortress and grounds is free to enter. If you’re coming from Mala Strana / Old Town you could also make the stop at the Dancing House on the way

Just another amazing church in Prague. It os situated on a hill so get ready to hike a bit but the view from there is totally worth. Surprisingly there was no tax to get in. It is surrounded by a park where you can walk, have a drink and admire the sunset. Totally recommend it.
