The temple is famous for curing skin related diseases and has a Kalyan where you are expected to bathe and then visit the temple to relieve medicines for your issues. Specifically, anyone suffering from herpes zoster / Shingles recieve the cure medication here and it works well baedd on feedback i heard at the temple. Overall neatly maintained and no frills or fancies. Ample parking space outside and situated on the main road itself

Lord Someshwara temple of Sasalu Hobli are good & worth visiting...Calm & peaceful environment...only cons is Priests & other supporting staffs, ask for tips openly from the devotees...You can offer your hairs to God by an head shave & there is dedicated place for that in the vicinity of the temple...Even kalyani(water storage in a wide mouthed well) is there & you can take bath there... Around 1km From Someshwara temple, there is another temple of Lord Shambhulingeshwara which is also good... Avoid going in Shravana maasa time which will be over over crowded...

Maintained by govt but there is improvement at all after many years also still under improvement temple. Facilities like minimum requirement of water is not available.

I always loved and excited to visit this Holi place since my childhood. I have been visiting Sasalu so many years, every time I go I always have same joy and excitement. Things like Food and water for pilgrims and parking place for the vehicle have improved so much and so many things needs to be improved like controlling the crowd around Bathing Pond and queue system around the Temple and Little cleanliness at Naga Mantapa. I strongly recommend weeding out of Shameless, Corrupt Poojaries who are there beside the main temple to break coconuts and demond ₹10 to every single coconut.

This old temple is on the way from Kikkeri to shravanabelgola. Sufficient parking place is available.Well maintained with respect to village standard.Many pilgrims believe that water in the temple kalyani cures skin decese and other health problems.

Temple renovation activities started in June 2023. So rhe main idol is kept outside the temple, people can still visit and take blessings from someshwara God.
