Restaurant Review: The Hare I recently had the pleasure of dining at "The Hare," and I must say that it was an absolutely fantastic experience from start to finish. This restaurant exceeded my expectations in terms of both the food and the service provided. First and foremost, let's talk about the food. The 8oz Sirloin steak I ordered was nothing short of amazing. It was cooked to perfection, tender, and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delight, and I found myself savoring every moment. If you're a steak lover, I guarantee that this dish will leave you craving more. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was also noteworthy. The ambiance was inviting and created a warm and cozy feeling. The cleanliness of the place was evident, and it contributed to the pleasant dining experience. The staff paid great attention to detail, ensuring that everything was in order and creating a comfortable environment for their guests. Speaking of the staff, the service at The Hare was top-notch. One particular server named Constantine stood out with his exceptional skills. He had a great sense of humor, which added a touch of charm to the dining experience. His attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. Constantine truly went above and beyond to make our stay at The Hare memorable. To end the evening on a sweet note, I decided to indulge in an amaretto coffee, and it was simply divine. The rich flavors of the amaretto combined with the aromatic coffee created a heavenly combination that left me thoroughly satisfied. Overall, I cannot recommend The Hare enough. The combination of fantastic food, excellent service, and delightful atmosphere made for an exceptional dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends, The Hare is the perfect choice. Thanks to the wonderful staff, including the outstanding Constantine, my visit was truly memorable. I am already looking forward to returning to The Hare for another remarkable dining experience.

Excellent menu, really lovely service and it's a lovely pub. Warm and lots of nice areas to relax in. It was quiet when we arrived and we had not booked so there was initially reluctance. I assured them we won't be there too long as we had other engagements. By the time our food was served, the pub was heaving. It was so busy that I could understand their initial reluctance about entertaining 'walk-ins'. I guess we were lucky to be there just ahead of the rush hour. We had a soufflé for starter and a soufflé for desert but the king was the Sunday Roast in-between. The soufflé were delectable. Both the savoury and sweet were fantastic.

Food was really yummy, majority of the staff super lovely. The most beautiful area in my opinion was not open so we were unable to sit there, but in general all really good :)

Lovely atmosphere and very pleasant interior. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly. Burger was very good. No complaints on the beef or fish curry. The rump steak was a little tough and the chips were too salty for me. Still plan to return and try other menu options.

Popped in for a few drinks before Xmas and the ambience and atmosphere was amazing. Lovely bites and great service as usual.

Very nice food and good value. It was very busy on our visit and service was a little on the 'laid back' side. This is not a negative criticism because there is no way to know the staffing situation and it is an observation. The servers were all warm and friendly and ultimately I wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return. Thank you for a nice experience.

First visit & very impressed! Was looking for a pub lunch with decent outdoor seating (not wooden benches) & The Hare did not disappoint. Food was quick, lovely menu, definitely restaurant not pub grub. Very reasonable prices & great service. Be aware 10% service charge added (without warning) but to be fair we were happy because everything was great.

Amazing place and food is excellent. I had herb crusted lamb roulade , my wife had herb gnocchi. Then for desert pistachio soufflé. Great service.

Beautiful pub with really considerate staff and nice atmosphere. We went here on a saturday afternoon for my aunties birthday (group of 8) and really enjoyed the tasty food and relaxed environment. The staff were attentive and polite and the pub was very welcoming to our golden retriever (he even met some new friends!). At one point, we had a big spillage on our table and the staff were on it in a flash and kindly replaced the affected dish. Very generous and understanding for them to do so. Thanks for a great experience. Highly recommend.

Had lunch with friends. I had the cheese souffle starter. It was excellent as was my steak. My friends all enjoyed their meals. Friendly service added to our enjoyment. If you are not that mobile beware there are steep stairs to the toilets.

Good quality food and drink with friendly service, was busy for lunch on a standard Wednesday so would advise booking. Garden nice too. Parking available as well.

I really like this place. Great and varied menu, cooked and presented well. Nice atmosphere, staff attentive and friendly. My sister and I popped in on a Tuesday night on our way home after a longish drive, completely spontaneously, and were not turned away even with no booking. There were staff shortages we later found out, but they still took the time to welcome us. The wine list is extensive with several favourites on it. I really enjoy our meals there: woul recommend you try it, not too pricey either.

My new favourite spot. I went for my birthday and honestly the staff where just amazing. The food was so lovely and the bramble cocktail was to die for. They made my day so special as they was aware why family members could not attend and the lady with blonde hair and glasses went the extra mile to make it memorable. What a fabulous find on our way home. A last minute booking for a Sunday Roast. Staff very welcoming and seated straight away. Food came faster than the drinks and the Roast Beef was cooked perfectly. Living within 45 minutes on this beautiful restaurant will definitely be back for another Sunday roast soon. Highly recommended

Wonderful lunch here. The service was friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. Fantastic pub to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Plenty of parking too. Sitting outside we could have been in the countryside and not just by traffic lights on a main road.

The food here is lovely, best fine dining locally, great staff, lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend and will definitely be back

We had a lovely Sunday lunch at the Hare. A nice cosy pub-restaurant. Free parking on-site. Excellent vegetarian/vegan options too. Service was great and overall would highly reccomend.

George and I enjoyed a very happy visit to The Hare yesterday. From the welcome right through to the delightful staff who looked after us and the whole meal which was delicious, we couldn't have asked for more. We did miss just one thing...someone who used to be a Manager there...called Carl. He was always so pleasant and accommodating...he was missed! However, we will continue enjoying The Hare...the environment, the very pleasant staff and not forgetting the excellent food. Compliments to the chef x pauline

The Hare has always been one of our family favourites. Today we went to celebrate my Dad’s 64th birthday with our new baby and dog. Amazing service, staff made the evening feel really special. Food and drinks were fantastic as always. Couldn’t recommend it more.

Service was superb along with great food. Cheese souffle starter excellent followed by trout. Pork main and steak pie with ale excellent and the Gnocchi wonderful. The waiting staff although young very professional and polite.

Sasha served us and she was amazing! She made our experience there fantastic. Exceptional service, great food and lovely atmosphere. Thank you Sasha for a great time. We will definitely be back and hope you’re serving us. Look forward to seeing you again. Highly recommend

One of the best restaurants in Bushey and Watford combined. Food was simply amazing, tasty and made with care. Staff was very polite and smiling faces! Definitely going to come back!

Sat in a beautiful private area. I have been there before and live the food and the atmosphere. I just love the British Pubs!!

I was pleasantly surprised when we ate at the Hare this afternoon, as I admit that I had avoided it - being influenced by some of the previous reviews which said that the food was overpriced. My honest opinion is that the prices are fair and not inflated as the burger I had was excellent, and the accompanying chips were as chips always should be, hot, crunchy on the outside and soft inside. The pistachio souffle dessert was brilliant, and the china pot it came in had been dusted inside with dark chocolate. When food is this good I don't mind paying a little more, but I don't think it was higher than many other pubs. It doesn't often happen, but I sent my compliments to the chef! Delicious food and highly recommended.

Excellent hospitality, great crowd, staff, excellent meals equivalent to fine dining. Sameer, Surjit and the ladies made it extra special for us and our Dog who caught lot of attention. Must visit again! And special occasion so decided celebrating there with Sameer and team. Met two new staff there Flora and Kamal. Lovely staff. Starters were just okay but main course as always was great. More pics added. The ice cream on the house was sweet gesture for the occasion. Our pooch settled in well too but a suggestion do introduce some thing on menu for them too like Boiled chicken or dog sausage etc. See you all again!

Beautiful venue! Newly refurbished with hanging greenery and cute additions of the outdoor dining huts. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly and food is excellent! Had the Malabar Fish Curry which was delicious and the perfect balance of elements in the dish.

Plenty of parking and indoor and outdoor seating. Nice play area for children. Didn't eat but food looked good and customers seemed happy. Timothy Taylor Landlord was excellent, could've used a bit of a top up but v good condition well looked after. Card payment only though folks.

The best gastropub in Harrow by far. Great food, ambience and service. Vegetarian options are not an after thought. Also love that they have plenty of healthy options rather than fried and fast food. Having said that - must leave room for dessert!

We visited on a Sunday afternoon. Upon entering, we were greeted by a bustling atmosphere, which was warm and inviting. The food itself was delicious. We had the roast beef and would definitely recommend it. The desserts were even more delectable and we would certainly return to have another helping.

After innumerable take away dinners during this covid crisis we decided enough was enough so went out for my 68 birthday lunch, what a really wonderful experience, the service was excellent the food was exceptional the atmosphere very pleasant. A big thank you to all the staff who made this a very nice birthday treat. We look forward to joining you again shortly.

I visited The Hare this week for a meal and drinks with my family. The food was absolutely delicious, every course was 10/10, all packed with flavour, presentation was on point and portion size was perfect. The only thing that lets this place down is the fact it’s over a 100 miles away from me. I would 100% recommend this place to all!!!! Keep up your amazing service and I can’t wait to visit again.
