The food is excellent! The service is excellent, very accommodating. The family atmosphere is so inviting! The views from the cabanas are breathtaking....It's private and very romantic. I can't say enough! If your looking for the four seasons, this is not the place for you! But if you love the outdoors you will love Oceanic-Hosteria!

Wonderful place. Lovely cabañas, delicious and reasonably priced food and restaurant and the staff are amazing. Felt very safe travelling and staying there with my two friends. The pool is gorgeous and it’s right next to the sea. Special thanks to the staff who went above and beyond to provide amazing service. I would love to return!

My husband and I stayed here in January (2016)- it was a wonderful experience. The host family was great, the beach is nice and Puerto Lopez is a lovely town. Not too touristy, which we liked. We liked to swim in the pool at night to watch the bats and nighthawks catch insects. Breakfasts were wonderful, didn't have lunch but heard all the food is great. Wonderful experience.

5 stars for VALUE, not SERVICE nor QUALITY. Staying here was a slightly weird experience for my American expectations, but I loved it! They kindly gave me a discount before I arrived (since I was staying a few days by myself), so my private cabin #4 was the best value in town. Right on the beach, empty and beautiful, lovely for swimming. Great pool, hot shower water. Amazing breakfast. Not very professional service, but if you're patient the food itself was very good, especially bolones -- best I've had in Ecuador for past 6 months. Wifi good, nice porch with table, hammock, outlets. When I had some ants in the bathroom, I got a further discount and they offered to c them immediately or change my lodging. I stayed becuase they were small and seemed content not colonizing elsewhere. Was interesting to watch them actually. The front desk may be empty, and the guy might be cleaning the pool in the morning when you want to swim, but if you are coming here to chill out, it's a great place! Enjoy walking 10 minutes down the empty beach into downtown Puerto Lopez with many decent restaurants and a thriving chess scene at Jaibel's cafe. Sadly, they were uncapable of helping me call a taxi.

Our stay there was a great experience from the moment we walked into the reception, the girl behind the counter was very upbeat and was dancing to the music as she checked us in and making jokes, the room was very tidy and continental breakfast, food and service was great and of course the view was delightful. Two thumbs up with 5 stars for sure!!

Amazing stay with great food and staff. My family enjoyed the warm lodging, gardens, pool and views. It is the best of Puerto Lopez, and we will definitely be back.

Super mellow and friendly stay. Cabins at the quiet end of the beach but within walking distance of all the fun.
