Súper recomendado!!! Precio económico, muy buena ubicación para visitar Los Frailes y Agua Blanca. A una cuadra de restaurantes muy buenos y la playa de Machalilla. No tiene garaje propio pero hay un espacio para vehículos seguro junto a la propiedad. Servicio super amable, nos ayudaron a planificar nuestro itinerario de la mejor manera además de darnos sugerencias de actividades. La habitación aseada, sencilla pero cómoda y amplia. Baño privado, ventilador y mosquitero incluidos.

Carlos and his Villa was a surprisingly wonderful stay. Me and My Wife have been backpacking Ecuador for over a month up to this point, and this was one of our favorite laid-back stays along the coast. We wanted to come to Machalilla after visiting Puerto Lopez on our route North to Manta via bus. Carlos has simple but comfortable rooms with a shared kitchen. We had the most fun just relaxing, drinking coffee, and listening to Carlos talk about his life. Through these conversations, we found out that he has found his purpose in life to help the Local Community and restore the the coral reef in Machalilla. Great stay. Would recommend.

Simple room but it is priced to match. Great host if you love dogs there are 4 always in need of attention.

The host is really nice and super helpful. The bed is cosy, hot shower, WiFi available. Walking distance to Machalilla National Park. The only thing is, it’s directly at the highway, so bring earplugs.

It's a good place to stay, basic but cute, meters away from the path to Los frailes. But there are also many busses from early in the morning till late in the evening from Puerto lopez to the entrance for only a dollar. And Machalilla is a ghost town, so not recommended for a longer stay.

The Guesthouse is situated in a great location! Carlos the host will make you feeling home, giving you a lots of tips about the place! Definitely recommended!

Carlos (the owner) is super friendly and is willing to help and answer any question. The guest house is close to the beach, parc Machalila and some restaurants. I would recommand this place for sure!

At the beginning it was only the plan to stay for two nights in our room here in Matchalilla, but we liked the Airbnb as well as the time with our host Carlos so much that we decided to stay longer. One of the main reasons is that large parts of the proceeds of the hostel are used for the reconstruction and preservation of coral reefs on the beach just 150 meters away. Here it is possible to paddle with Carlos' SUBs in a beautiful bay and observe the coral reefs with diving goggles and snorkels. The hospitality of Carlos must be emphasized again. He is not only very warm and cares about the well-being of his guests, but also gives you very helpful tips for activities in the area. If you not only want to stay for cheap money, but also want to have a real impact on the local ecological situation, you can't avoid Carlos and his beautiful rooms. But he will certainly be happy to tell you more himself.
