I took a beginner course here and my boyfriend rented equipment. The lesson were really good, the instructors are very friendly and professional. Hard spot to learn but definitely beautiful. We stayed one week in the dorm upstairs, which was really comfortable and has amazing views over the ocean. We had a wonderful time, 10/10 would recommend. Thank you Nicole & team for the great experience and for teaching me how to kitesurf <3

My wife and I just spent a wonderful weekend at Humboldt! Could not ask for a better, more relaxed kiting atmosphere. The rooms are large and clean - can't beat the convenience! Everyone was beyond helpful - so much more than we have ever experienced! Every kite shop should model their operation from this one.

Excelent kite surfing school. New equipment, professional instructors. Everything you need to enjoy the kite surfing spot in Ecuador. Highly recomendable.

Perfect kite experience in this school :D ! Highly recommend and I'll definitely get back there if I get the chance. You will find 3 schools on this long Santa Marianita beach, Humboldt is the most remote one which makes it perfect for peaceful kite, especially if you are still learning like me since you will be far away from all the tourists and swimmers. All the material seemed new, well maintained, and I really appreciated the people working there and their attitude towards me as I was clearly still learning. Due to a tight budget I initially started with another school, however my luck has been to have a couple of bad days with the wind so I couldn't kite as much as initially planned. This allowed me to go back to Humboldt for the last 2 days, no regrets !

This beach is well known thanks to windy conditions that are great for lot of water sports. Humboldt Kites is a place that I always love to visit. Here was my first kite surfing lesson with local instructor Jesus. I immediately felt in love with this amazing sport. What I like the most is the atmosphere here. No neighbours on the left and no neighbours on the right, it’s completely secluded from the village. They have place where customers can pitch a tent, dormitory and private rooms. In the middle of the center there is a small restaurant / bar where you can get food or drinks. You can also rent some of their equipment - kites, surf board, paddle board etc. Whales can be seen sometimes not far from the beach and the sunset? Really unforgettable. All of this make me to come back several times a year.

I had an excellent stay with Humboldt Kites. The team is very friendly and the Kite lessons and equipments provided are adapted to fit different skills (e.g. one-to-one lessons, downwind sessions, different rental equipment). The spot is great and with plenty of space for any wind related or other water sports, for anyone starting to learn kite surfing or anyone already kite surfing. Thank you.

Santa Marianita is a very large sandy beach with very few people, that's real luxury ! Humboldt kite is located on the beach, a little remote from the village and the setting is amazing. At night you will hear the waves, and in the day you will learn how to kite surf. I took the 8hour course and was riding solo just after it. What a pleasure! I had both Jesus the manager and Leon as teachers and they were both amazing and very dedicated. On the whole every one was super nice and welcoming, and flexible as well. Attached is a photo of one of the beds in the dorms. Some glasses are more blurry I think due to the salt caused by the proximity of the water. But that bed was amazing. I also liked the hammacks area.

I stayed at this kite center couple of days during my trip through Ecuador. The resort is located on extremely peaceful place compare to Montañita that I visited before. They have all important facilities available and good wifi included. There is literally no one except customers, employees, kite instructor and four lovely dogs. If you want to buy some groceries or take a bus, the nearby village is only 15 minutes walk on the beach. Restaurant is also available here. I really enjoyed my stay and highly recommend to visit for anyone looking for chilled place.

My favorite place to kite in Santa Marianita. It has the nicest beach, the nicest staff, good quality gear (mainly Cabrinha), fair prices and great food. It's also a very chill place to hang out between your sessions. 10/10

We were there for lunch...arepas with brownies & ice cream for dessert. They have several other items on the menu but for me it's the arepas.
