Here is the deal - we go there at 10pm, it was dark and we didn’t like the place. We were ready to leave first thing in the am. The hostal is very rustic, 3 beds and a tiny bathroom- no AC, no tv, wiring is all over the place ... next morning we wake up to see, not only the hostal but the area and we understood everything was still very undeveloped and therefore the hostal provided basic needs as we knew we would be out from sunrise to 11pm! The area is absolutely fantastic, little human presence. The hostal is not beachfront, there is a street and a malecón in between but the street is used by barely 10 cars a day. 15 meters from the hostal is another hostal with a restaurant- we ate there everyday. The area is safe, people are good hearted and honest.

Wonderful family runs their hostel right in front of the beach. There's a kitchen available if you want to make your own food. Lots of hammocks and chairs for relaxing, and a terrace. Recommended!

Stayed at the dormitory but was the only one so I had the entire room to myself. It's located just across the street from the beach and the balcony upstairs offers a great view of the sunset. I also took a surfing lesson and it was really good! This hostel is a great option if you're looking for something affordable and simple.

Muy buenas personas y nos trataron muy bien

Paz y tranquilidad. El espacio es rústico y con los servicios básicos necesarios para estar tranquilo al frente del mar. Hay cocina, alquiler de tablas de surf y buena disposición a ayudar a que el viajero disfrute del entorno. En Las Tunas hay poco comercio, por lo que aconsejaría comprar mercado en Puerto López.

Es un lugar muy relajado y calmado. Ideal para disfrutar algunos días sin prisa. La dueña y su familia eran muy amables.
