👍👍 Just a block off of the Malecón, this museum is a wonderful resource for information about Cetáceos (whales and dolphins). Just a block off of the Malecón, this museum is a wonderful resource for information about Cetáceos (whales and dolphins). Our guide was fluent in English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch and was very willing to translate into multiple languages to explain to all the members of our group. Mr. Haase was also extremely knowledgeable and passionate about these topics as well as the seabirds. Great displays of the bones, skeletons, photos, etc.

Amazing! The owner is absolutely thrilled to share his passion. It is very much worth your time! I guess it's a good idea to set up an appointment. We got lucky, but had we com 20 minutes before or after and we wouldn't have been so lucky.

Very knowledgeable personal guide explains everything. He only takes one group at a time, so better to book an appointment.

An excellent personal tour by one of Ecuador's most enthusiastic, knowledgeable whale experts. Sit in the jaw bone of a real whale. Great for family, couples and singles.

Don't miss it if you're in Salinas. The owner/director/your guide is a national treasurer. We loved our visit.

Super nice private museum to learn all about whales and be impressed by their vast skeletons ... We had a very passionate tour by the museum director Ben Haase, and the kids loved it, especially the story about the orcas, but if you want to hear that you have to visit yourself and take your kids ....

My personal experience was great. When I think of museum I think of a company with big area and a tour guide that is miserable and bored with his job. This gentlemen Ben has a museum at his personal home without any government assistance or private company to help him luring the whale bones and skeleton figures. He was very enthusiastic with the representation of his work and his art of collection. He is very educated in his field in ocean biology. He loves his work compared to other museums I have visited in my life and that’s what makes the experience better. If you happen to be in the salinas area please visit. I recommend this museum if your interested in the ocean wild life of whales and dolphins.

😐 Perfect place to watch the sunset! Near the Salinas boardwalk, it has a small space to park cars. It is not recommended to enter the sea since the tide is too strong, and it is prohibited by the local government.
