This is one of the best hospitals, it’s clean, it’s well maintained. The stuff is just over worked they are doing their best, I highly recommend them. It’s our government that is failing them. To all the stuff, keep up the good job.

My sister was admitted on the morning of 19 July 2022 for supposedly a simple procedure to remove a cyst. Today is 22 July 2022 and she still hasn't been attended to. When she asks why she is not being attended, the nurses are being rude. She has not eaten or drank anything since the night of 18 July because she left the house thinking it was going to be a quick hospital visit. They tell her she can go to the theatre anytime and she is not supposed to eat. If she eats then she will have to wait further delay being attended to. She has been wearing only the hospital gown in this cold weather. As a family, we are concerned but cant even call to complain because they will victimise her or botch the surgery. Minister of Health needs to intervene. This hospital is now a death trap and lacks staff with ubuntu. If i could rate a zero I would.

I suffer from sciatica and I attend physio there. People in this department are great. Starting with the security lady, the receptionist and the other staff members. To mention a few there's Sipho, CJ, Lucy and this Indian guy unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get his name. They're such wonderful people, and full of respect for their patients

I am HIGHLY dissapionted in this hospital. My boyfriend is lying there for 4 weeks now with no surgery on his feet as he has gangerene. He is starting to develop bedsores and dont even know if they are looking at it popperly.Ther is NO comunication from the Drs. I dont even know who his dr is as they chop and change as they want to. I JUST WANT ANSWERS!!! Who can i phone to speed things up!!! I just want to update this review. After 8 weeks of fighting all avenues my partner passed away. I fulle hold the hospital liable for this due to neglegents!!!!

I have a sister who is still there maternity, they still haven't attended to her. She says it's cold they not given blankets, no medication, basically she's in hell. Now she has flu. She's been there for 7 days now and nothing is being done to her. Can government please intervene. This is not the first time I hear of bad service there, people losing their children due to negligence...

What an absolute load of garbage! My grandmother was booked in because see experienced a fall, and broke both her hip and leg, she was taken to thelle mogoerane hospital. She lay in a dirty bed for 3 weeks before getting an operation, She was never sponge bathed by any of the nurses on duty, I had to clean her drying visiting hours If I couldn't come see her then she wouldn't get any help. The nurses would never bring her a bed pan when she would ask, And the bullied her and abused her during her stay. The nurses spat on her, hit her, bullied her, Would treat her like rubbish all day. Then to make it worse they even stole from her. And the hospital is horrifyingly unclean And the odor is horrific Please if you have the choice do not take your loved ones there. Oh! And they're racist!

First of all, I don't like the fact that we have to park our cars outside the premises. secondly, the fact that they won't let you sit with your patient while waiting to be assisted. Security officer will come and force you out. It's their job that's what they tell you, because they want to abuse your relative alone because this person is sick and at that time , they don't have a power to fight back. And they have no voice. Thirdly they are clueless about where to go when arriving at the hospital, even their help desk is useless , they will refer you to the wrong places, when you get to that place, they tell you Togo somewhere else, and there and there. Until you get mad. They must fix their story Maan.

A big thank you to Dr Mbele an Outstanding Professionally Driven Doctor and team in Gopd. Aneasatist and theatre team well done with your high standard of treatment. Thanks to ward 18 staff for your efforts. The ward was super super clean too. Negatives: a lack of staff in admissions and emergency wing which could have done with double the floor space and double amount of beds, nurses, and doctors. The public toilets are under cleaned and under sanitised and are not acceptable! Cleaners should be in bathrooms at all times in such a highly populated facility. I hope this helps

I have been at ward 12 to see a Doctor since 9am. It is now 12:05pm. The doctors have not seen their patients or been to check on their respective stations since Morning. Where do we complain about Drs because it seems as though only the nurses are ones with superiors to complain to?

I still can't get over the poor neglected service I got about 9 months ago I was in so much pain about to give birth when I got to the hospital no nurse came to check up on me I ended up giving birth in casualty in front of other ladies who is also waiting for help what a shame it was for them to see my child fall out of me. The nurse are rude , negligent and don't value other people's lives I would rather die at home than set my foot in that hospital again

My daughter was admitted for infection weighing 2.85kg on admission. She's now lost a weight, although she has since been discharged. I am not happy with her weight loss. It's as if she wasn't fed properly. Thella Moegorane is not a good hospital facility for any member of the public!!

At first I thought it was a University or Private institute some sort of,only to realise it's a Hospital and it's a parastatal after all.Its so big and absolutely beautiful,well maintained and managed ...i love the service delivery too.Keep up the good work in providing what's best for the people of South Africa... healthy living is a necessity 👌✌️

Dr Timba and Dr Kunene have no business being doctors they are nightmares they are callous and have no humanity in them and are utterly unprofessional. I have never in my life been met with such cruelty. How is this hospital still employing such brutes being at a hospital means one has an issue and for one to be screamed at for asking for help makes no sense. I was only brought here because it was an emergency but I would never recommend it for anyone. Some doctors are nice especially the theatre docs that attended to me well except for the ones who were constantly on their phones and too busy to actually provide proper feedback. This hospital needs bedside manner training actually they should just be shut down because they will definitely kill people

What a horrible experience ever my brother has been there since 23/01/2020. Even today his still not assisted, he only needs operation on his finger. Then you claim that your beds are full whereas you mopping as round n not do what suppose to be your duties.

My gran is currently at the hospital in ward 7 and we are so happy with the treatment and love they showing everyone the are so passionate and care for people we cant let that go unnoticed ,

I hate that hospital with all my heart especially ward 13 .2018 my sister was diagnosed with depression but they put her in a single room where she didn't have no one to talk to until she passed away. 2019 /06/26it was my she was admitted because of flue but a week later she changed she started losing herself the next day she stop talking. We asked the nurses wat was happening with her they didn't have answers,until 8/07/2019 my sister went to the hospital to meet with ther Dr that is were they told her that my mom wont make it till the end of the day.nd she passed away on that day. Her body have signs that she was not treated well in the hospital.

The staff were friendly and helpful. They were on top of everything they knew what they where doing they were amazing The doctors where was amazing they kept me informed of what was going. Casualty Drs unproffessional and dont care abt patients health.. possible stroke patient and just get left in casualty with no treatment bcoz the ct scan didnt work..

I ran up and down this hospital and didn't get any assistance, I ran 5 DECK YEARS now its my 6th year and my goiter hasn't been attended to, what pains me the most is that I asked for pain killers and one of the nurses said to me "if the pain hasn't killed till now you wont die sisi I don't have pills" and i was deep pain and i set the the whole day and left without being attended even I'm waiting for the call from the 8th of Feb this year 2019 till today nothing and their website doesn't have ideal numbers how sweet of the government then we must vote really?

Took my father-in-law to this hospital late one one. The service was terrible. They expected me to try and get him out of the car before they will put him on a stretcher. They were standing right next to me with the stretcher while I was struggling to try and get him out. Needless to say he didn't make it

Poor hygiene poor maintenance blood all over the bathroom floor and rude staff not all but a lot. The one doctor treated a obviously very ill young man who could barely talk and move quite poorly.

Worst hospital I must say. Service is terrible,terrible. My sister was booked for operation everytime they re-schedule the dates and she is in so much pain. If I get sick I will rather die in my house than wasting my time to go to this hospital. I will take this futther as this is not right.

My mother ended up dying in my arms trying to get help from these people. I waited 2-5mins for them to eventually come and help me. The doctors are the worst! When they had to tell me my mother was a DOA case. She (doctor with the pink braids) held a DOA paper in front of my face and then said "what do you think happened". Today, I write this exactly one month after my mother's passing. This hospital is a d@mn shame.

I've never seen such a well organized public hospital. I would like to complement the stuff 1st. You guys are doing great. Secondly, the efficiency. I didn't even spend 15 min inside. The Dr attended to me, and he was swift about everything. Keep up the good work guys.

This is the worst hospital I have ever since. I have cousin who was bought into Casualty on the 1st of Sept and when I went to visit him on the 3rd he was still not attended to had not eaten anything was not admitted still there in Casualty when I asked questions one of the male nurses said he will beat me the doctor called Dr Tembe that woman was very very rude just left me there and said has no time for this. We tried to call The QA manager there was no answer until we got through to the Matron Mthimkhulu she listed to our complain and said will investigate. I wish the Dept of Health could intervene a lot of patients were complaining that there haven't been seen or attended to at Casualty something must be done even looking at the reviews about this hospital its just a night mare

This review is a bit complicated. My father's experiences at the hospital have not always been the best. He's mentioned that the doctor's are not universally polite - that sometimes they don't bother calling old people by their names and just say "you there". Bedside manner is completely missing from the doctors. When my nephew was treated I witnessed a mixed bag of excellent and disappointing service from the doctors and nurses. Hygiene is a problem - it's not always the best decision to touch surfaces

The service and level of professionalism at this health facility is amazing. Despite the pressure our health workers have to endure these professionals are always willing to help out without begging rude or give you an attitude.

I am not happy about how we are treated by the security , i was stoped to bring food for my sick wife ,whos was admitted yesterday , she never had anything to eat and she is on medication, but i have seen several individuals going in with food for their loved ones, why can't we be treated equally

Well the reception don't help people who are lost they just keep you waiting for a long time then later they tell you to go and come back tomorrow.....they need to change their attitude towards the sick people

This hospital only makes one feel worse, the nurses and workers, well not all, but most are rude and hardly do thier jobs, they always on phones and many new born babies don't make it out that hospital.

How long does it take a medical dr to go to surgical ward to look at a patient that need dialysis and kidney function on 2%. This must go to the health department. Patient in hospitaal a week already!!!!!!

I shouldn't even be giving them this star...it was the first time in my life ever being admitted into a hospital without even knowing if am admitted or not.. I got there around 11:30 am and I was sitting in a wheelchair at casualty for hours and hours with no assistance. I ended up noticing that those who got a touch here or there were those who came in beds from ambulances so I asked for one too hoping to be assisted next thing I knew different doctors would come in and had their normal chats whilst you're lying there screaming of pain. This intern then moved me and left at the passage and I was attended too the next day around 10am. All in all I was told I need to go to surgery. Even the doctor that sent me there could not answer why I needed to go there. The doctor at surgery then guessed I had an infection, I wasnt tested for it or shown anything just like that I had some infection, she didn't even touch me but that was my diagnosis. Never will I go back there again, the service is as though they chose this career by force and their interns are extremely rude. I think Check point should look into such matters too.

I would like to send many many thanks to the E.N.T team at Thelle Mogoerane Hospital, the team who also works in the theatre with Doctor Leba (anaesthetist), doctor Magwaba (E.N.T) specialist and your whole team in the theatre. These doctors are amazing, my son Omar, removed his tonsils and adenoids in this hospital and I am really grateful because everything went well, these doctors are very passionate about their work and love the little ones, we were treated very well. This is such a terrible hospital!my brother came in at 14h00 because he had an epileptic fit and hit his head.he was disoriented and cold,they didnt attend to him even with a referral letter from the clinic. It's now 20h00 and they still havent attended to him and they refuse for us to take him away to a different hospital. The nurses are so rude and they keep saying his file is on top but he never gets any attention. appalling service

I'm really not happy with this hospital, we spent 12 hours on the 24th, slow service no updates, we are back here again and have been here for almost 8 hours still the same thing, this has to be taken further. 24hrs later still no bed no updates on what is going on, doctors just all around not being informative to us as families, these people are changing shifts in front of our eyes without any updates,

I came there , it was my first time. The service I got was excellent, they saved my baby as he was in distress. Problem is staff shortage, but they are doing their best to meet patients needs. Keep it up 👏

My mother was admitted 15 January 2020 for operation, they only did the operation on 19 January although it was urgent!! The DR that did the operation instructed that she needs to stay in ICU for at least 5 days after operation, they move my mother out of the ICU after 2 days 6 o clock at night Tuesday 21 January 2020 because of protocol that kids are before elderly people, yet again there were people in the ICU that looked 10 times better than my mother, she could not move or anything....but they moved her to a normal ward where she passed away 9:40 that night and I only got phoned 10: 35. If they have not moved her she might have been still alive. Very disappointed in that Hospital and the staff.

I would like to compliment Sister Zinhle and Mr Mthembu of Thelle Mogoerane Hospital in Vosloorus of Ward 8 for their hard work in taking care of patients. I was admitted on the 28th to 31st of December 2020 and the treatment I received from them was beyond caring. These two hard working health workers do what they chose to do by helping other people in life ( saving people). I really appreciate their generosity, humanity, humbleness, kindness, love of their work and being friendly not to only me but all patients who were in room 1 of ward 8 during that time. This is the worst disgusting hospital, waited in an emergency room for hours waiting for a gynae, my daughter is bleeding from virginal, we have seen the pediatricians he refered me to the gynae, waited for while my daughter still bleeds.

It's a very huge spacious hospital that offers overall good health services

Been in this hospital for emergency appendix operation in Nov 2019. Surgical staff - excellent. Treatment by staff also good. Treat other people the way you want to be treated. Friendliness cost nothing.

This is the worst hospital EVER!!!! I would not recommend anyone to come to this hospital , I have an emergency referral letter and they didn't even try to help me - There was a patient that was there who has been shot , didn't help him at all. Disgusting hospital They just keep sending you up and doen ,, feeling lost in this place , no help at all. You will die if you come to this place.

I am very upset on how labour ward handled my sister. Even the security guard was no help when we went to deliver an extra blanket. 2 hours later my sister called asking where did we leave the blanket. & she pretended like nothing happened. Unfortunately we've lost the baby but time frame spent in hospital was really ridiculous to let a soul die.

There are waiting rooms at each ward and yet some bright spark at the entrance that is only here to search you won't allow us to wait for visiting hours...we have been coming here since Saturday and it's never been the case. We need the bathroom and we can't even go.

Bad hospital they don't care about people,, nurses tell you that you don't have a one on one nurse this is not a private hospital ... People are are left not attended.... The Government must do something about that hospital... People are losing loved one because of negligence and not treating the patience in best care

Everything is convenient there are no longer long queues there is a mashal that directs patients to their respective destinations bring your own toilet paper because toilet paper rolls get stolen and there is no toilet paper finally be patient for the long wait

my question is why are you charging money i thought its a government Hospital and it seems like the stuff doesn't know what they're doing because I was going round and round looking for assistance and I didn't get any funny enough when I got the help I have to pay 140 what am I paying the poor service I'm really disappointed

Very very poor service, 2015 I lost my baby in that hospital because of their neglegent. I arrived there around 17:00,18:00 afternoon with an ambulance from clinic, it was very agent even the paramedics told the nurse and doctor when we arrived they were there by the reception, but they just tell me to go an sit down I was supposed to get there and go straight to do operation. I sit on that cold chair, it was June 12. 2015 very cold. I sit from 18:00 with the other ladies, some of them they were from the same clinic as me but I got them there still haven't checked or seen doctor. I couldn't even walk because of the pain, buy the time doctor call to check up on me around 22:00 lying there in bed but he was busy with his phone, I even asked him "why are you busy with the phone yet am in so much pain" he made few checks and told me to go and sit down again. It's a long sad story, buy the time I gave birth it was 23:15 and it was too late for the baby to survive. I rather die at home than going to that hospital.

I took my friend in for treatment after he got burnt. We got there at 20:00. he sat there till morning and he still hasn't been helped. One of the staff members even said, she's not sure if that was her ideal career choice. It's sad, really.

I dont believe that Thelle Mogoeane hospital is here in South Africa. Go to emergency room, you will be shocked. They don't care about the injured people. My brother is there since Sunday 20190331 even today he's till there no tablets, food, stitches. They are waiting just to certify him dead. They act unprofessional. Minister of Health please close this hospital or train them again. Thank you
