Literally the cutest coffee shop I have ever been into. They are pet friendly, friendly and gentle. Their ice chai tea latte is amazing; but I also highly recommend the cinnamon rolls! Great environment, was a lovely stop!!

I love it here. If I was a local, it'd be my #1 spot. Perfect coffee and wonderful selection. Bought some Fair trade Ethiopian to take home and it's my morning addiction! Their bourbon barrel aged coffee really has the flavor! Their Nutella bourbon barrel aged latte was the best of all time, best!!! My kids enjoyed playing cornhole outside in what's spacious, garden area seating. Parking lot in back was full, arrived just in time to get someone's space, but there's plenty of street parking on weekdays. The staff are super friendly and I'm excited to return and try something new! Went twice during a weeklong horse camp my kid attended in the area. Very modern but small town feel. Really clean, bathroom kept up. They even have a small party room that can be rented.

Great coffee—Feels like Cheers, as I run into someone I know every time I go in… love it there. Open another in downtown Canton!

Very friendly staff always greeted with a smile and they are able to retain their staff versus other places that have a lot of turnover. They are pet friendly which is a huge plus for me. The oatmeal is very very good and the pastries are from Paulazzerts. They roast the coffee onsite very fresh. The barrel aged is a nice touch to my morning coffee.

My wife and I stopped in for a Sunday morning coffee. Th barrel aged coffee is amazing. You can get taste the whisky in the coffee. The coffee is smooth and bold. The staff is very friendly and proud of what they are doing, as they should be. They are happy to give you a tour of the operation. This is my new coffee house.

A great spot to work or meet up with someone right in the middle of adorable Ball Ground. I ordered the Nutella Latte with the barrel aged extra and it was outstanding! I love that you can sit inside or outside and that there is an extra parking lot behind the coffeeshop if street parking is full.

Fresh, flavorful and smoothest coffee I ever had. Not sure, if this is the alcohol speaking 😉. Indeed delighted to have tasted their Barrel aged coffee. Would certainly come back again.

WOW I LOVE THIS PLACE! If I was forced to say 1 negative thing, I would say this place is just way to addictive and they take all my money because of how often I come in!😅 I 100% love this place and almost daily come in for a hot cup of barrel aged coffee! I can honestly say I am Happily addicted to this place. From coffee, to atmosphere, to the incredible Baristas, this place hits on all Cylinders! Kevin, Baylee, Autumn, Tim, Sydney, Allison, and everyone else working here, thank you for the impeccable customer service you give me each and every time I walk in. Great coffee shop in downtown Ball Ground! It has a calming environment and the barrel-aged coffee is great, it has a bourbon-like flavor (and pairs well with vanilla syrups!). I’ve never been to another coffee shop that does this, it’s so fun and unique. All the employees have been very friendly and helpful too!

I love nerdy coffee culture- and I love this place. I have no idea if bourbon-barrel-aged coffee beans is a new thing, but Barrel House does it ridiculously well. Just walking into the place, the fragrance of bourbon and coffee is an indication of the quality of the products. From my first visit, I knew I had to buy a bag of the light roast. So far, I’ve brewed it by way of pourover, Aeropress, and French press; it responds well to all of them. Everyone who smells it brewing stops to comment on how delicious it smells. And it tastes exactly as expected: sweet, caramel, woody, etc. The service is great/friendly- and adherence to COVID prevention is thorough. I give a strongest recommendation to visit this coffee shop!

A friend suggested that we try out Barrel House Coffee Co, and they did not disappoint. We tried their fresh brewed coffee and barrel aged espresso. Their roasts have phenomenal flavors. The atmosphere is very fun and cozy, and they are animal friendly! We'll definitely be back for more goodies.

Cozy Relaxation & Delicious My husband and I needed a local boost of coffee before we started our day of tree work and plant installs, so we checked out this quaint coffee shop. Wow! The chia tea was scrumptious. The aged barrel coffee was a different twist on coffee, but very good. I want to try the scones and cinnamon rolls next

Folks-they age the coffee beans in whisky and bourbon barrels! And the result is heavenly. Super service and super atmosphere. Plus the charming town and restaurants, shopping and parks is worth a drive. It’s close to Gibbs gardens which is definitely a treat! This may be the best coffee I’ve ever had…stunned silence…it’s not close at all and I’m finding reasons to pass through charming Ballground to get coffee to sip AND buy a pound to bring home!

The staff is always very friendly and have the best attitudes. The store is always clean. They have new flavors for all the months, holidays and special events. You can get hot, iced and blended. You can even get 10% off for wearing their shirts. It’s our family and friends favorite. They are Military and first responder friendly so they do offer that discount with valid ID!

Such a cute little coffee shop! I’ve always wanted to see something like this in Ball Ground and it exceeded my expectations. I try and stop in any chance I get!

I have not been to the space, only had the coffee that my wife got me as a birthday present and my goodness was it delicious! You smell the beans in the bag and it smells like a fresh glass of woodford and you think "oh no is this going to taste like booze?!" But friends, the smell belies the taste! The bean blend is smooth and rich, but the burbon flavor is the obvious star. It comes through just enough to make the coffee interesting and unique while not being so hard out in front that you think you're drinking 2 fingers neat. TL;DR Great job Barrel House on creating a tasty, unique coffee blend!

Came to the shop on a whim when going to a brewery. Staff was super friendly. Loved the barrel aged coffee. Tons of unique flavors. Great atmosphere both inside and out. They are an hour away and I can not wait to visit again. Even bought a baseball cap because I loved their design

If you want to try great coffee, unique flavor (their signature Barrel Aged coffee is amazing) and friendly service with a smile, this is your coffee shop! We drive 30 minutes each way a couple of times a week for their goodness!

Best coffee around. The barrel aged coffee is strong so I mix it 50/50 and it is a great unique flavor. The employees are above and beyond which adds to the experience. We stop in here every time we pass through Ball Ground.

Barrel-aged espresso was delicious. I've never heard of barrel aged coffee before so I obviously had to try it. I was pleasantly surprised. If you like espresso I highly recommend trying them out. Glad we passed through this cute little town! Animal friendly too!

OMCoffee! Talk about checking off all the boxes! I drive up through the area a lot and am thankful for stopping in. If you enjoy coffee and bourbon, get the infused version. It will change your life. I love supporting this Veteran-owned business and will now come by every time I am in the area… from the first cup I had to today makes 3 visits in the last 10 days or so. Would love to have you in East Cobb, but will go out of my way to get a cup if I have to!

This is mine and my husbands favorite coffee house ever!! We come at least weekly or bi-weekly and we’ve never had a bad experience. We even took our engagement photos in Ball Ground and made sure to get a shot with the sign!

  • 2/5 Climbing G. 11 months ago on Google
The only issue I have with this place is the coffee. Given the amount of high reviews I believe many people like it but the barrel aged taste gets through everything, even if you don't get the barrel aged coffee beans. I am not a fan of whiskey in my coffee so this was a waste for me and I had to go somewhere else.

We love Barrel House!! As a local, this is one of my favorite spots in Ball Ground. They always have cool specials to try (I tried the banana pudding latte just a few days ago-delicious!), and the barrel-aged coffee is so unique! Lots of options on the menu and rotating pastries that are also very yummy!

Veteran-owned coffee house. Huge selection of flavors to enjoy hot or iced. Really neat decor inside or sit outside on the patio. SUPER nice staff. I wish I lived closer to be able come here all the time. I’ll definitely be back!

Just moved to the area, after today we will be making stops weekly. My wife and I had the iced vanilla latte with coconut milk and it was fantastic. Extremely high quality coffee and it’s not over priced! The barista was incredibly nice and the owner even stopped for a second to answer a bourbon question. Next time I’ll have to ask about cigars!

I had the barrel-aged Nutella latte. It was phenomenal. The barrel aging gives it a very unique taste.

Barrel House coffee is a great place to stop, sit and enjoy a fantastic cup of coffee. Their treats are amazing, too! Take the time when in Ball Ground.

Stopped in for the first time this morning, and I was surprised to see that none of the employees were wearing masks or seemed to be taking any COVID precautions beyond some plexiglass. I grabbed a latte to go (which was delicious!), but I won’t be returning anytime soon. I have a medically fragile son, so I don’t have the luxury of not taking this pandemic seriously. Disappointed.

Awsome place!! Great coffee!! Veteran owned🇺🇸The barrel age is more for individuals that like the taste of whiskey. Aged in whiskey barrels so It kinda takes on a bit of the flavor. They offer non barrel age and other exotic coffee like Sumatra and Guatemala blends. Overall great atmosphere, great coffee, great baristas

This is really interesting coffee; I've never had anything like it! Today was my second visit and I've gotten barrel roasted coffees both times. The first time a light roast was available, and I really enjoyed the peanut butter aroma and whiskey aftertaste even though light roasts aren't my favorites. Today's medium roast is amazing: some of the best coffee I've ever had! I think it will probably be my favorite, but I'll be back to try the dark roast just to make sure ;)

I don't like bourbon. Sorry not sorry. It just isn't my thing. But something about combining coffee and bourbon is magic. I. Love. This. Place. I stop by anytime I'm near Ball Ground. Cold latte... Hot latte... It's all delicious. Cute store. Folks are friendly. Yes to this little coffee shop!

  • 5/5 Theresa C. 4 years ago on Google
Absolutely perfect! Atmosphere is very relaxed..even had board games we could play with the kids. We had hot chocolate, which was very rich and they even tailored it for the kids so it wasn't too hot. Chai tea latte was really good and the coffee was amazing.

My wife and I try out all of the local brew shops (staying away from S-bucks). They have a great location smack in the middle of downtown Ballground, the place is super clean and nicely laid out as well. I had the “Barrel aged” Redeye which is espresso and brewed coffee (with a splash of cream). I hate to say it but it was probably the worse cup of coffee I’ve ever had. It was so bad that by the time I walked half of the city (it’s not big) I had to throw it away. I kept drinking it trying to figure out what tasted so bad. Thinking maybe it’s the espresso, in the end I figured out it was the “Barrel aged” part that gave the cup such an off putting taste. Maybe the regular coffee is better, I don’t know. But I would suggest you steer clear of the barrel aged product.

Love the environment, music, staff and location. Right in downtown Ball Ground across the street from the Dönner and Meat deli. Your able to come in and sit down. Get the barrel aged coffee. They're able to give you that option for almost all of their coffees. It's an acquired taste. If you don't like it you can get the same but have it non-barrel aged coffee. Give it a shot, really fast.

  • 5/5 Becky W. 4 years ago on Google
This is a quaint, relaxing place to have some good coffee! You can order your coffee regular or barrel-aged (woody, whisky taste if you like that kind of thing). The atmosphere is awesome and the staff is friendly. I definitely recommend!

  • 5/5 Karen O. 4 years ago on Google
Very friendly staff. At first, I was a little bit sceptical if I would like their barrel aged coffee, since I never add any kind of flavor. They told me i could exchange my special brew with a standard one if I don't like it. I don't just like it, I love it. Just the right amount of sth special to deepen the flavor.

  • 5/5 Elizabeth L. 4 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 Aaron T. 4 years ago on Google

  • 5/5 Steven B. 4 years ago on Google
Awesome place. The atmosphere is just so comfortable and all of the staff are very welcoming. They have an incredible variety of coffees, lattes, mochas, teas, and there are also small pastries you can have to pair with your drink. You can get all your coffee based drinks barrel-aged or non-barrel-aged. There is a barrel room in the back where you can see how they age the coffee beans. Please go support these wonderful people and their small business because you won't regret it.
