Our first visit to Applebee’s was a pleasure The staff were welcoming the place had its own vibe. We loved eating the delicious food there and the dessert won my heart ❤️

Every time I order delivery they skimp on sauce. It's sad they cheat delivery orders. Thanks for having me pay for dry food.

Inedible. I've never had salmon so dry and rubbery, salmon is a fish that almost falls apart. This fish was solid and I could pick it up by the burnt ends of the filet. Usually order from here so must have got a new cook. Disappointed ☹️

It’s always a hit n miss with this place. Each time I have ate here, I have gotten sick. I have always tried something different and still ended up sick. Doesn’t seem to do any good when wanting it taken off ticket. Waitresses or waiters are some what positive. Bathrooms are clean, inside atmosphere is clean. Seated fairly quick. Order was taken a little longer then expected and wasn’t to busy on each days.

This is my French onion soup I got tonight. Been very disappointed lately and a loyal customer. Cold, half filled and expensive. Wouldn't complain but far too often recently.

Shawn Carroll was the best bartender I’ve ever had. Super quick on his feet, very attentive, incredibly polite, and never made a mistake the entire time. Even with a packed house he was always ready to help.

Applebee’s is what it is. I was able to have a beer at the bar and order food to go. I did a steak dinner ordered medium rare however, when I got home it was completely cooked all the way through definitely well done. I always order the chicken wonton taco appetizer, highly recommended so delicious!!

HORRIBLE! After boycotting for 15+years, I recently decided to give them another shot. First time... got someone else's order. Second time... waited additional 15 minutes for a raw steak and cold green beans. THIS time... played it safe. Full slab ribs. NOPE! Ice cold, tough, AND overcooked! This location just DOES NOT CARE about ANYTHING! Food quality, customer experience, corporate reputation, NOTHING! Needless to say, I was right for 15 years. NOTHING has changed!

This location has gone through some obvious wear and tear throughout the years but the food is very delicious and fresh and the customer service is polite and professional. I love knowing that I can take as much time to eat as I want without being rushed out the door. I recommend eating here for families and anyone celebrating.

Was honored to have Alicia as our waitress for my family and I tonight. She is friendly, has a great attitude, attentive, and very mindful of our needs. Drinks always full-In midst of a rush she was still eager to go above and beyond for us. Will continue coming to this location!

Came in for an early dinner and was impressed with the quality of both the food and service for being a slower part of the day. KJ was especially helpful and pleasant as our server this time. Have been to this location many times for late night half-price appetizers and drinks and am glad to know I can come back any time of day for a full meal.

We asked for the quietest spot to be seated (restaurant about half full). Waitress seated us and said “is this good enough for you?” sarcastically. Then after we were seated proceeded to fill all the area around us. The waitress tried very hard and was very nice and polite. Our food came and was just not the normal Applebee’s quality I’ve known. My husband ordered chicken strips and fries and seriously got 10 fries on his plate. My grilled chicken was over salted and the broccoli was way over cooked.

Adrianne our bartender was outstanding! She has a smile as she greets everyone, always makes you feel welcome. Our food was was served hot and was delicious. Thank you Adrianne for another great dining experience!

I sat at the Curbside Pick Up for over ten minutes before going in to check on my order. The order had been sitting but no carside service was offered. I was told I needed to come inside and ask for the order. There were no outside signs or online instructions about a change in pick up service.

I had a great server tonight (10/5/2023) not sure his name but he was the bartender. He was an older gentleman and he was working his butt off. Can’t complain at all. The manager also came over to apologize for food taking a while but I honestly hadn’t noticed. All the praise for the sever/bartender and for the manager as well. The hard work was clearly showing! As a prior bartender and sever, this was tremendous service for how dang busy it was! Props to all!

Every time we come here the staff and Management has been absolutely fantastic. Please model the rest of your Applebees franchises after this management and their staff. Also the cooks do a wonderful job.

Loud, I don't know my guess is there is not the best layout given their acoustics. Conversations travel far, loud and clearly... I don't know why some packed restaurants it hits more than others...(other than the big open spaced ones i.e. BWW's type) Always awesome service and quick food readiness though, long time consistently positive experiences

Party of 15 early on a Sunday evening. They did their best to seat us quickly. The waiter did great job of keeping everyone's orders and tickets straight.

We had a large group to celebrate a birthday and they took the time to push tables together so we could all sit together. Our waitress was on top of it! Drinks were never empty, food came out hot and delicious, and even the kids were satisfied the whole time! My kids love Applebee's because they can get mozzarella sticks as their side on the kids menu. I love Applebee's because they make the most delicious blackened salmon. Highly recommend!

I can always count on this Applebee's to make my salmon well-done but not burnt or overcooked. And it doesn't taste like it came out of the freezer, like many Midwest restaurant salmon does. They just added impossible burgers to the menu. Now my vegetarian husband can more protein than a salad offers. Plus they have perfect mini desserts.

Some of the best all around service I've had. Our waiter was very good. The food was very good as well. Great service is hard to find now. This place provided that and then some!!!

TLDR; I'd give no stars if google allowed it. Ordered takeout on the website, it went fine. Two for 24, onion rings, broccoli chicken alfredo, and a cheeseburger. Asked for items(Pickle and tomato) to not be on the burger. Got them anyway. Called to complain and was told by the manager on call "I don't make the food, I just assemble the orders". I wanted a replacement due to the allergies of my dinner partner, but no offer to replace the item was made over the phone. Terrible customer service, will not be a repeat visit. I do imagine if I had been physically present and making a scene, that there might have been a reasonable accommodation made, but I decided to cook instead, and that went over better with my date than not having food she could eat. As a result of the delay of making a replacement meal, my pasta dish was cold. Not entirely Applebee's fault there, I could have let her go hungry, but the point remains.

Usually have a good time but this time they forgot our fries to both of our meals. When I mentioned it they brought out one order of fries at first. Then had to ask for another. Then when I got home I noticed they forgot the extra sauces that were an extra cost. I’ve worked in good and service before so I’m patient with it but sauces and fries seems simple enough to me.

Our waitress Elizabeth was amazing. She was absolutely so friendly and attentive and went out of her way to make our visit enjoyable. My husband and I are traveling from Colorado and she has made this trip one of the most enjoyable experiences we have had here in Des Moines. She is definitely a genuinely sweet person. Thanks Elizabeth!

I come here often with my mother who has dementia and honestly it's her favorite place. I have no complaints as the food is always consistently very good and I have had numerous things off the menu at this point. With the Staffing shortage going on I have never had an issue in this restaurant. These workers have stepped up and present a great picture for their company!

Most of the food was great but when did they start using Kraft mac n cheese. We all know the taste and texture of warmed up mac n cheese. Thats how it was. Rubbery and not even cheesey
