Tl;dr
Mixed
experience,
cons
more
than
pros,
would
not
recommend.
Pros:
As
many
others
have
said,
the
gardens
are
stunning.
Beautifully
maintained
outdoor
space
with
provision
for
recreational
activities
like
archery
and
badminton.
There
also
appears
to
be
a
nature
trail
and
a
trail
for
trekking
within
the
property
which
I'm
sure
is
a
plus
for
those
inclined
to
explore
the
outdoors.
The
staff
are
good
with
meal
time
reminders.
There
are
some
adorable
kittens
and
dogs
in
the
property
that
we
had
a
lovely
time
playing
with!
Cons:
For
us,
the
positive
experience
ended
there.
We'd
booked
the
King
Suite
with
Balcony
(Deluxe
Chalet
Suite
on
their
website?)
and
the
cost
for
3
nights
came
to
just
above
25,000
INR.
For
such
a
hefty
price,
we
were
definitely
expecting
a
quality
experience.
However,
the
rooms
were
horribly
maintained.
When
we
entered,
it
felt
like
the
the
space
hadn't
been
aired
out
for
months.
It
smelled
musty,
there
were
cobwebs
everywhere,
mold
on
the
walla,
a
thin
layer
of
dust
over
the
tables
and
nightstands
and
the
chairs
looked
like
they'd
been
through
a
lot.
There
were
also
dead
leaves
and
dirt
in
the
bathroom
and
bugs
all
over
the
windowsills
behind
the
curtains.
We
messaged
on
their
WhatsApp
number
and
asked
for
the
duvets
to
be
changed
out
as
they
were
damp
and
giving
us
a
rash,
the
gentleman
who
came
the
first
time
merely
inspected
them,
sprayed
some
sickly
sweet
smelling
spray
all
over
the
room
(?)
and
made
to
leave.
We
requested
once
more
for
the
duvets
to
be
swapped
out
for
fresh
ones
and
he
grudgingly
said
that
someone
else
would
come.
We
felt
like
we
were
imposing
on
them
(?!?)
-
was
very
strange
to
experience
this
at
a
hotel.
The
second
gentleman
was
much
more
approachable
and
swapped
out
the
duvet
covers
only
and
brought
a
couple
of
fresh
towels,
which
we
appreciated.
However,
the
damp
from
the
duvet
remained.
That
in
addition
to
the
mold
exacarbated
some
of
our
allergies
and
breathing
difficulties.
We
faced
issues
with
the
hot
water
as
well.
Even
though
we'd
keep
the
geyser
on
as
advised
by
the
second
gentleman,
the
water
would
turn
lukewarm
to
cold
within
five
minutes.
We
had
to
jump
through
a
lot
of
hoops
for
a
decent
shower
throughout
our
stay.
After
our
initial
impressions
and
experience
with
the
room
and
the
first
staff
member,
we
were
incredibly
disheartened.
We
had
no
hope
that
we
would
be
taken
care
of
if
we
were
to
raise
any
issues
again.
Only
then
did
we
sit
down
to
filter
their
reviews
and
noted
that
this
was
highlighted
in
many
-
beautiful
property,
but
unkempt.
We
decided
to
just
use
the
rooms
to
sleep
at
night
as
we
were
put
off
by
how
awful
our
first
day
was.
We
had
all
our
meals
outside
(as
we'd
noted
by
reading
other
reviews
by
then
that
the
veggie
options
were
not
great)
bought
our
own
water
and
generally
interacted
as
little
as
possible
with
the
staff.
We
cannot
comment
on
their
food,
as
we
did
not
avail
the
complimentary
breakfast
either.
I
have
to
mention
that
when
we
did
interact,
the
staff
were
nearly
always
polite,
but
distant.
We
did
not
feel
very
welcome
at
the
property
from
the
get
go.
We
were
asked
on
a
few
occasions
about
eating
in
and
my
mom
was
even
pointedly
asked
(interrogated
might
be
too
strong
a
word
here)
about
us
not
having
ordered
a
single
tea
or
coffee
or
a
water
bottle
and
the
tone
seemed
like
the
staff
member
took
it
as
an
offense.
To
be
honest,
we
did
not
want
to
set
ourselves
up
for
disappointment
any
more.
I'm
not
sure
if
the
other
rooms
are
better
maintained,
but
I
definitely
would
not
recommend
Zeenath
Taj.
It
does
not
offer
good
value
for
money.
There
are
better
places
in
Yelagiri,
albeit
not
as
aesthetic,
which
offer
you
a
better
overall
experience
for
a
much
more
reasonable
price.
They
definitely
need
to
work
on
maintenance
and
hospitality
to
reflect
the
title
of
a
3
star
hotel.
It's
a
shame
because
the
property
truly
does
have
truckloads
of
potential.
