As a digital nomad, the co-working space was all enough to win my heart. Nice touch of the owners to add the co working space in this age. Although the best part is the hospitality by the owners. So genuine and friendly. Their commitment and hard work makes it one of the best hostels not just in Jordan but in the whole world. Found everything else mentioned in the other reviews to be true, Highly recommended.

Love Hakaia so much! I stayed at Movenpick Talabay resort before moving to Hakaia.I feel more comfortable and enjoy Aqaba in Hakaia community. I get to know travellers and had nice breakfast. Especially, Bahaa is the kindest host to help renting a bicycle and drive to border to Eilat. Definitely, I will stay here if I come to Aqaba again. Thanks!

Probably the best hostel in the world. Comfortable, clean, with nice breakfast and good wifi. Very friendly staff who helped us organize our trip. There are also two lovely cats there

I travel a lot alone and this was one of my best hostels in the world. The owners are super nice and help you with any question. The hostel is extremely clean. The beds are large with a curtain for privacy. The rooms are large overall and have enough space for a lot of luggage. The lounge is very cozy. Perfect location, right in the center. Absolute recommendation!

The most comfortable stay I had during my trip to Jordan was at Hakaia Community. The hostel was a quiet place, great to unwind and also exceptionally clean. The staff also went above and beyond, and helped me hail a taxi and negotiate a price in the morning. I would really recommend staying at this hostel if you're on a budget, because it is well worth it's value.

This is by far one of the best hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms, and common areas are exceptionally clean. The warm staff provide free generous breakfasts and coffee/tea, snorkeling/beach equipment, a lovely rooftop terrace with beautiful sunset views. There’s also a quiet working space if you need to work/study. The atmosphere is very lively, making it easy to meet new friends from all over the world. The location is perfect too, right in the city center. Above all, the staff are always ready to help you with your needs. Highly recommend!!

Hakaia Community was a wonderful discovery for me. The hostel is managed by two very kind brothers: Bahaa and Mohamed, and their lovely furry friend, Calado. The hostel is located in a very good position, a few steps from the city centre, 15 minutes walking from the big bus station and just in front of the minibus stop. The rooms are nice, the bed comfortable and the breakfast is amazing! Bahaa helped us a lot to organise our daily trips in Petra and Wadi Rum. He has a lot of contacts in Jordan and he's always happy to give advices and recommendations. I hope to return to Jordan soon and, in Aqaba, I will definitely return to Hakaia hostel ! Thank you guys !

Very helpful owner and staff. Except for the stairs everything was amazing. Thank you for the delicious breakfast!

Definitely one of the best hostels you could stay in - the owners are brothers and are extremely friendly. They will help with anything you can imagine, activity suggestions, restaurants, getting to Egypt or the next city in Jordan, booking taxis etc. The included breakfast is great. Free tea/coffee available all day. The hostel itself is clean, all beds have privacy curtains. And of course, a great co-working space if you need to open up your laptop :)

This is a great place for backpackers. The location is just fantastic, just a kilometre away from Aqaba Gateway, and right opposite the local bus station. They have a balcony where you can dry your clothes, something not hostels have. You can also plan your water activities from this place, and tours as well. They also have a range of diving equipment you can use for free. The breakfast is really good as well.

As others have noted, you will sleep very well here, with plenty of spaces for socialising/chilling/working. Plus, they include a free brekkie and you can also self-cater in the kitchen. However, there are no restaurants within 500m, and many are closed between 2PM-6PM, so plan accordingly.

At Hakaia the guests and the hostel itself are both really well cared for, believe all the reviews. My extra comment is that every detail has been thought of, even the electric sockets accept any international plug! I was amazed. Thank you for hosting me the way you did!

One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Modern, clean, has everything you need. Mohammed and his brother were very welcoming and go out of their way to look after their guests.

By far one of the best hostels I've ever been to. The staff are exceptionally hospitable and will help with literally anything. The beds are super comfy and the airconditioning works well. All the information you could ever need about Aqaba and Jordan is available. Tours and gifts are readily accessible too 🤙

One of the best hostels in Aqaba in my opinion! Staff is wondeful, a special thank to Mohhamed. Rooms are big enough, clean. There's a kitchen, dining room and a work place if you'd like Also, you can arrange a transfer, tour or borrow a gear for diving! Breakfast is light and was good. And the location of the hostel is great, near the center. There's a store nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

I've backpacked a lot and stayed in many hostels around the world. Hakaia is definitely one of the best hostels out there! I loved how homely this place feels. I wished I stayed longer than 1 night. Baha is such a super host and does everything to help us feel at home. Super helpful! Showers are clean and the beds are super comfortable. Loved the free breakfast as well. Also, do check out their recommendations for local food - super great stuff!

I had an incredible experience at Hakaia Hostel during my brief stopover. The hostel's atmosphere is truly amazing – I made friends with fellow guests upon checking in and ended up going out for dinner with them 5 minutes later. The common areas were fantastic, providing a vibrant space for socializing. The cleanliness was impeccable, and the owner's friendliness and accommodating attitude made me feel at home right away. Despite my short stay, Hakaia Hostel left a lasting impression of warmth and hospitality. Additionally, Hakaia Hostel boasts a fantastic co-working space, making it an ideal haven for digital nomads. The well-equipped workspace provided a conducive environment for productivity, adding another layer of appeal to this already outstanding hostel!

We booked the place for a single day and were blown away by the hospitality of the hosts. They were absolutely wonderful. I really appreciated how clean and nice the place is. It’s excellent value for money. I’m so proud as a fellow Jordanian to see such a wonderful business existing in Jordan. It’s so lovely.

Best hostel that I've ever stayed in. The folks working here are SO helpful. The hostel is very clean. The breakfast is delicious. I also like being right across the street from the bus station. Stay here...!

Friendly staff, free breakfast, comfortable beds and super value: I've stayed in lots of hostels and this one's a good'un. Would definitely return.

my experience with hakaia is humble; as I barely stayed there for 1 night, yet being there gave me a general idea about how professional and sweethearted the people who run this place are. high standards when it comes to hospitality, clear vision about business identity, and fine details that get along with international hostel guidelines, I'm really glad I got to stay there by pure beautiful coincidence, and definitely coming back and referring the place, as I am convinced now that aqaba is on the brick of a boom if more enterprises adopt the business ethics the Hakaia fellas have <3

I'm glad I cancelled my reservation... AT ANOTHER HOSTEL! I spent 7 days backpacking Jordan and Hakaia Community was by far my favourite hostel as a solo traveller. It's not a huge place but it feels very homely and it is conveniently located. All rooms are super clean, they are spacious and beds have privacy courtains, reading lights and power outlets. All facilities are strictly non-smoking which was important to me. Even in Ramadan, Baha and Mohammed offered great breakfast which was also super delicious and nicely presented. The hostel also has lockers, snorkeling gear and a free shelf. There is also a co-working space for those working remotely. Just great. I want to thank Bahaa and Mohammed for their hospitality and helpful advice. We chatted a bit about my co-working space and life in Malta, but sadly I didn't have a chance to say goodbye and thank you for the lentil soup before I left for Amman. It was really nice to meet you and I regret not staying in Aqaba another night. I look forward to coming to Aqaba again and to see your original hostel. This is what a hostel should look like. Keep it up!

The best hostel you will stay not only in Aqaba, but maybe in the whole Middle East. Bahaa is the best possible host, so welcoming and so helpful in anything he could. The facilities of the hostel are just fantastic, good location, and super yummy breakfast. Sad we only could spend one day there.

I am living a nomad lifestyle since more than 10 years, and the Hakaia Community is one of the very best hostels I ever stayed at. Baha and Mohammed (the owners) are super nice, and they are extremely helpful, they can help you arrange almost any activity in Jordan. The hostel is always very clean, the breakfast is great, the beds are very comfy, and there is even a work space for digital nomads. The hostel was so good that I stayed 2 weeks. If you come to Aqaba, I definitely recommend you to stay here.

The second Hakaia…. And just as good as the original one! The best place in Jordan, and an amazing base for visiting all the main sights. Spend a week here scuba diving, chilling on the beach, eating delicious free breakfast… and of course Mohammad and Baha’a can help you with anything you need and will welcome you into their home. :) <3

We stayed here for two nights and loved it. The beds are comfortable and spacious, everything is spotlessly clean, and the coworking space was a lovely addition. As other reviewers have said, the two hosts are the best part - they were so friendly, welcoming and helpful and throughout our stay we could tell they were working hard to make our and the other guests’ stay as comfortable as possible.

The little sister or little brother of Hakaia home. You'll find here a nice hostel with really kind owners. With brand new bed and handmade with wood. A nice place to chill. A delicious breakfast every day, a really clean and comfortable place. The possibility to rent bikes. You'll have informations and help from the owners. You'll also find a female dormitory. And it's really next to the bus terminal, so really easy to go out and jump in or jump out your adventures. They have nice paintings on the wall, a beautiful wooden map when you arrive inside of the hostel. There's a door with a code, it's really a nice place into the city. Baha'a and Mohammed, the two owners will do everything they can to help you have a nice moment in Jordan. Shukran again for everything and good continuation. Hope to see you in the future, Inch Allah

I arrived in Aqaba after walking on the Jordan Trail. I was so glad to choose this hostel, I cancelled all my other plans and stayed for over 10 days! I first arrived at Hakaia Home hostel and was greeted by the manager Baha'a and a really nice guest who was staying (Thomas from France). Later I stayed at Hakaia Community, so I experienced both hostels. Home is a fantastic place to relax, de-stress and take it easy; just like at home! Community has a more lively atmosphere, it is next to the bus station and facilities, which is convenient. I loved the rooftop terrace with amazing views to the Red sea! Oh and I agree with everyone that the managers Baha'a and Mohammad are more like friends :-) Thanks so much guys and I hope I will be back! Oh forgot to say, loved the fresh breakfast each morning!

Top class hostel experience. Cool space run by two great people - Mohammad and Baha. I was travelling along and it was my first time in Jordan. They were super flexible - gave me the choice of staying in either Hakaia Home or Hakaia Community - then gave recommendations for where to go and where to eat in the city, as well as hooking me up with a car rental and scuba diving. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

What a lovely hostel and a bloody awesome owner. You can’t be such a kind person if you are not truly a one. This was one of those times where I wanted to stay longer mainly because of the hostel. It’s extremely clean, free tea 24/7, breakfast is warm and delicious and the location is perfect. The owner also helped me arrange dives for the best possible price.

The best hostel we ever stayed at! The place is really clean and the view from the rooftop is amazing! But best part of the hostel are the two brothers who run the place. Thank you for your warm hospitality, we were really happy to meet you :)
