The memorial of Moses is a very nice place. The mosaics are impressive and very well preserved. The ones on the ground were preserved as they were buried underneath the ones that are now on the walls. The memorial is really well done and the explanations provide good understanding of the different phases the site went through. The site has all the require amenities (toilet, a shop offering espresso, gifts, chocolate bars and various drinks)

This location is magical, like feeling the biblical energy and significance of this location is a different kind of feeling. It’s an experience of its own. It’s a sure location to add to your list on your trip to Jordan. Purely magical and beautifully amazing!

Well worth the visit, even if just for the view. Beautiful vistas in all directions! Lovely historic church with restored and preserved mosaics.

Very peaceful place, steeped in history. Allegedly the place where Moses saw the promised land and promptly died, handing over the reigns to Joshua. Lots of beautiful mosaics dating back thousands of years. Pope John Paul II visited in 2000 to pay homage and planted an olive tree. 3 JOD entrance fee, unfortunately not covered by the Jordan Pass.

A nice historical place to visit and have a nice spiritual moment of peace. The mosaics are so nice and well preserved. The church is a mix of historical and modern and it was nice. There is a small museum next to it with some ancient relics too.

Although, traditionally it is believed to be the burial site of Moses according to some traditions, there is another grave that is also said to be that of Musa (Moses) 11km south of Jericho. The modern building of Moses' Memorial Church atop Mount Nebo, in Khirbet al-Mukhayyat. It houses some of the best (and best presented) mosaics in Jordan, dating from around 530 CE. The church is part of a functioning monastery, and there's a small but fascinating museum presenting the history of the site. The church is first mentioned in an account of a pilgrimage made by a lady Aetheria (Egeria), circa 390 CE.

Situated on mount nebo, a masterpeice of craftsmanship of the 5th century. Very well preserved. Marvellous work of art in form of mosaics which are excellently preseved and displayed. Persons with interest in ancient architecture must visit this place to witness some of the earliest peices of mosaics.

Not much to see here. A significant sight to commemorate Moses but wouldn't it be more significant to have some explanations on Moses' final years rather than talk about the phases of the churches and monestaries built on this site to commemorate Moses?

The Memorial Church of Moses is very beautiful and peaceful. The views are really nice. I initially didn’t had much expectations on this place but it changed after visiting this place. If you do have time I highly recommend this place, it gives fantastic views and gives a very refresh feeling. You have to buy the ticket because Jordan Pass won’t cover. The arts are fantastic here, very clean maintained rest rooms.

I went there with a group tour and tickets are required when we enter the Mt Nebo site. The church is on the top of Mount Nebo and the view from the neighbourhood is gorgeous. We can see Israel cities, like Jericho, from there. The church itself is very quiet and has terrific mosaics inside. I felt the inner peace when I walked around in it and feel like reading some relevant chapters in the Bible when I return home. It is a must-see and definitely worths a visit.

Great Church from the Bizantium era... Magnificent view from above, in memory of Moses looking down to the promise land

Pretty impressive structure overlooking the promised land as seen by Moses. The path from the parking lot takes up up the hill past various structures to the mountain top overlooking the magnificent land below.
