Came for a day pass use of the Dead Sea. The gatekeeper requested that we pay only cash JD and took a while to process our party of 8. Went to the spa and was able to book a same day massage and salt scrub. The spa treatment was nice but the locker room lacked amenities. There were no sandals to use, I had to go find toilet paper. The key to the locker did not work. The hotel grounds were very clean and beautiful. I was very impressed with the lunch buffet that was included with the $35 JD day pass. There were lots of options and all the food was fresh and prepared wonderfully. I would definitely enjoy coming back. Plenty of places to relax and enjoy the views.

The hotels service is the top quality, felt like king here. The Staff is very friendly and solved even our minor problems fast and without any problems. We had a great experience at dead see, which the hotel has a very good area down at the beach. The restaurant was self service buffet for all meals with a good choice of foods for various diets. There is evening entertainment in one of the areas overlooking the sea. We fully enjoyed our time here and would like to come back again.

I was visiting with my wife from New York, and we chose this hotel, because everything else was sold out. When we read the other reviews, we were hopeful that our stay would be amazing. The only good thing at this hotel was the entertainment. The restaurants were supposed to be open until 11 o’clock. We arrived after a long journey at 10pm only to find that every eatery closed early at 10pm. We went instead to enjoy a beverage as it was the only option. The servers were not attentive and did not know their own drink menu. Of the drinks listed in the menu, most were not available and the servers didn’t know the difference between a milkshake and a mocha or a margarita and daiquiri. I decided to go to my room and order room service. When I called, they told me they were going to call me back and never did. This was not the experience I was hoping for or expecting. My wife and I would not come back here!

Overall nice resort but I didn't find any spa facilities as I expected and the beach was not so nice. The designated area for swimming was small and there were many rocks at the bottom. The lifeguards were very hlepful though. The hotel's beach cannot be compared to the Salt beach (beautiful public beach). If i knew better I wouldn't have payed so much for a resort and I would choose to swim in the salt beach on the way from Amman to Petra

Big beautiful hotel with enormous pools, spacious rooms and easy access to the Dead Sea beach area. We floated and had mud baths. Excellent customer service. Our bags were promptly delivered to our room when we arrived. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning for a longer one in the future.

Booked a day pass for here. This is a huge resort, but with a very small Dead Sea access section, steeply sloped. Good facilities by the sea, pontoon for easy entry and exit, pots of mud for the skin, freshwater showers. However… the infinity pool closer to the hotel was a disco at 11am, music far too loud to have a conversation, so couldn’t stay there more than 5 minutes. The family pool was fairly reasonable, but the main problem was the lack of good signposting to changing and showering facilities. Where are they?! The included buffet was surprisingly good quality, plentiful and delicious. Not a bad way to spend a day by the sea.

This is not a 5 star hotel! An OK 4 star is about where I would put it. We really over paid for our stay and actually we regretted staying here. The check in at the reception was awful as the guy checking us in treated us like a number... We did pay for a room upgrade but again we regretted this... We opted for half board but the food quality in the restaurant was very average. Nothing exciting to be honest but the waitresses were kind and attentive. We should have eaten out as we would have had better dinner for a cheaper price. We did complain at the end of our stay but were only offered a free night at the Holiday Inn... I mean what was the point of that. We will never stay with this chain again. The pool staff were kind and friendly and helpful. So in conclusion we felt ripped off, treated like a number and did not feel like we stayed in a supposedly 5* hotel.

The words written below are my personal opinion only We entered the hotel at 3:00 PM, and we received our rooms at 4:00 We quickly put on our swimsuits to swim a little! 4:15 We arrived at the pools and then at 6:00, we were taken out of the pool!! I don't understand the swimming system for only two hours! If extended for an hour or an hour and a half, it will not harm anyone! It was possible to stop swimming in the sea at six o'clock and continue swimming in the pools until seven o'clock. It made a little sense!! As for two hours, what will I do in the Dead Sea after that time? Another thing is that it is forbidden to stay up at night near the pool! This is the first time in my life that I go to a hotel and it closes the pools like this!! All we want is to sit at night by the pool! To me, these things are essential. They may not be important to others, but they are important to me! Therefore, I will not visit this hotel again.

Soooo outdated. It was once a pretty nice place. However, the hotel is lacking those 5 and even 4 star touches. It is hugely overpriced for what it offers and the attitude towards the gust desires to be better. The rooms are smallish and have no style. There is echo and noise everywhere. The hotel is offering a minimum effort by the team members. It is true that Arab guests have preferential treatment. I would agree with the previous opinion that there is a feeling that everything is in place but you either can’t use it or it is not enjoyable. The management and reception offer neither resolution nor help. What I found upsetting is that they wanted an extra charge of 28 jd for using an indoor pool. I agree that SPA treatments such as massage are extras but this is a basic, especially in winter months.

Beautiful hotel with a huge pool and a mini pool. Comfortable rooms with tea and coffee making facilities, safe, ironing board and slippers. Access to the Dead Sea is via steps and quite a steep walk down the beach to a pontoon. Lifeguards are on hand to help if needed. Showers, plenty of sunbeds and towels are available at the beach. Nice lobby bar where snacks can be ordered.Good choice of buffet food in the Ambrosia Restaurant. We were on half board and upgraded to the Lebanese restaurant on one evening for a supplement. Very helpful staff. Overall a very enjoyable stay.

Firstly, the check-in staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. The staff member started talking about money without even welcoming me. This was not the kind of greeting that I expected as a valued customer. Secondly, they gave me the wrong room number, which led to a frustrating situation where we were unable to enter the room. The concierge took over 10 minutes to arrive and did not even apologize for the mistake. Furthermore, the rooms were not cleaned and had no towels. Despite numerous attempts to contact someone, it took a long time for someone to answer my calls. Additionally, I had paid for an extra bed, but it took over 2 hours and two phone calls to get it delivered to the room. Finally, I was shocked to hear that I could only have my young brothers as guests until 10pm, and they were not allowed to stay in my room. This is unacceptable as they are my brothers. Overall, my experience at your hotel has been extremely disappointing and has ruined my vacation.

Amazing place to visit… clean… great service… and the food quality is really good. One of the top 3 hotels in the dead see zone. More entertainment activities for the kids is highly required. Best of luck..

*** BEWARE *** The hotel doesn't make the main pool available for use, it's only used as a show piece and for advertising/marketing purposes. The only outside (tiny) pool available at the hotel was at 'El Grito' Cafe, and during our stay it was packed with screaming kids and families, with limited seating options. I understand that the Dead Sea is the main attraction, however on the 3 hot days we stayed here I found it ridiculous that the main pool was inaccessible. Consider another hotel if you're wanting a child free, relaxing experience with a decent pool!!

I stayed here two times I liked the first time the second time not as much. The room lock was broken so did the bed. Food quality can honestly improve. Some dishes tasted like heated leftovers. The facility on the other hand is outstanding it is one of the best I've ever seen. The pool area the promonade the beach area all in all 5 stars.

My stay was amazing... The staff are all helpful... This not the first time for me to visit such amazing hotel... I have been here for many times... And when I leave.. I really feel that I spent amazing time and waiting for next time... That means.. The director is gentle man treats staff as a family family... I met him many times during the stay at hotel.. You can see him in every part in hotel checking out every thing in details and always asking people if they need anything... God bless you all. ♥ 🌹

Great place highly recommend. Beach was not smooth access 😕 In general everything was great I tried dinner and breakfast had all what you need Outdoor pool was amazing I tried spa was good so far. To use spa will charge extra $7 but it's worth please consider under age 18 are not allowed to gen in spa. They have events almost every day we enjoy to have a party opened night. I like my experience and would like to try it again in the future with same place Crown Plaza Don't go to dead sea if it windy days.

Great stay in this beautiful hotel. The staff was really friendly, and the access to the Dead Sea makes this place absolutely unique. I can recommend to visit this place, especially if you want to see the surroundings as well. Small point of feedback, the dining room could use some more ambience, and noise control. Had a absolute lovely stay here!

All the staff are cooperative, and the food is delicious. The room was well arranged and comfortable. The pool was interesting and wide. I liked the pool near the jacuzzi. It was good for relaxation and amazing at the time of sunset. Before all of that, the director is a genial man and helpful.

The staff was very kind. Our tour was delayed and the staff extended a very late checkout so that we could enjoy the property rather than finding another last minute activity. Beautiful resort with Dead Sea access.

Great resort with access to Dead Sea. Pluses include good restaurants, great pools, friendly staff. Although much of the staff have limited English, enough spoke it, and the rest we communicated via sign language 😉. The only issue we had was the temperature control for the shower was broken, so maintenance had to come and manually adjust the temperature via the outside heater control. So shower was too hot for me and too cold for spouse🙁. Didn't stay long enough to enjoy all the perqs. Overall, highly recommend it

This is an absolutely magnificent hotel resort with a great beach arrangement, pool bar area and open pool area. The staff are professional and attentive and only too happy to help. The buffet had a broad range of options and the fault I saw was that it was missing the typical carvery. Otherwise a really good experience.

We stayed here for two nights. Our room had a great view from the pool. Unfortunately our room didn’t have any second curtain so that we could still enjoy the sun without closing the main curtain. And that also caused a lot of viewers looking into our room. The food and the variety was super good! The service was impeccable! Big applause to Nilam for her warm smile and kindness.

Purchased a day pass at the Crown Plaza which was a great deal. It includes a buffet, which is all you can eat. Bashar was our server and he made our experience extremely enjoyable. He checked in several times and ensured we were taken care of. The day pass also included a pass to the Dead Sea! If I’m in the area I will definitely come back.

We stayed in a Family Room, as it was our 1st time to visit the place they gave us complimentary early check in plus early check out. Place was cozy and beautiful! The hospitality of the staff were exceptional! Hats off especially to the beach staff who let us an excellent treatment with our family experience at Dead Sea mud and salt experience. The food at the buffet was good and even advised us to inform next time of our booking about the special food to be prepared by chef as my daughter has food allergies. The pool is temperature controlled. The cart driver Sameer was very helpful. Overall it was a beautiful experience!

I think this might be 1 of the best hotels in the Dead Sea region. It overlooks the dead sea and everything about this hotel was great. I would recommend that they include the spa in the price, however, saying that it was well worth the 10JD to use it.

I stayed for 2 nights, and got a ground floor room forcing me to keep the curtains closed to avoid people looking inside. As the hotel is half empty I asked whether I could get a room on the second floor, and the answer from the front desk was ‘no available rooms’. Honestly I think he did not want to check and work a bit … On the other hand, the hotel looks dated, the room has a bath tube and the hot water gets colder after a while. The room category is closer to a 3 star hotel than to a 5.

I only got to experience this lovely hotel over night. I was not disappointed. We went to lobby bar for happy hour, on arrival the influx of people overwhelmed the staff, until Bader a very competent staff took over bartending. 10/10 for his service.

A beautiful hotel, the Lebanese restaurant inside the hotel is something you should come to try the excellently prepared dishes. Everything is perfectly organized. It is negligible that some rooms are in an older version, but overall everything is excellent. You feel safe, the staff is very hospitable.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience at Crown Hotel! From the moment I checked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean, spacious, and beautifully designed, offering all the amenities I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel's location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and restaurants. The on-site dining options were delicious, and the breakfast spread was impressive. The hotel's facilities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I highly recommend Crown Hotel to anyone looking for a fantastic and luxurious experience!

Food: 8.5/10 Location: 9/10 Facilities: 9/10 I was very impressed with this resort. We came for lunch and to enjoy the spa and pool. The pools were clean, quiet and peaceful and they provide free towels to the guests. The buffet restaurant (Ambrosia) downstairs had a wide array of middle eastern dishes. The chicken curry, the lamb, the chicken schwarma and the fresh salads were the highlights of the meal. The ingredients were fresh and the meal was very satisfying. The beach was also beautiful. They had plenty of seating and large pots full of mud if you choose to participate in that activity. Come here for a relaxing day on the dead sea surrounded by kind staff and beautiful scenery.

We stayed 2 nights and we really enjoyed this Dead Sea beach hotel. It was very nice to be able to walk to the Dead Sea from our room in less than 3 minutes at 7h00 in the morning and enjoy this quiet and relaxing moment in this lovely part of the world. Our room was excellent, very cleaned and comfortable and had a nice terrace over looking the Dead Sea. We liked the Lebanese restaurant we went to on our last night, everybody was very friendly and the food was very tasty and very good. The food options at breakfast were very varied and good quality. We liked the hotel shop too as it had a large variety of items which were not too pricey and the person was very helpful and friendly. We would stay again without any doubts!

Stayed there for two nights with my family, the children loved it, the pools are plenty and for all ages and not too crowded. The kids activities are always fun, pool party, painting, face painting, bear costumes and pool toys are always fun as well. The restaurants (lunch and dinner) and breakfast buffet is extremely convenient and has a wide variety of foods, there's a couple of malls down the road if you feel like getting something else and changing the mood or you can visit the outdoor cafe at the hotel where they have live performances or belly dancers for a night show. The rooms are clean and the sea view or pool view balconies are amazing, room service is extremely helpful and the staff is extremely cooperative, management is extremely professional and will go out of their way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. Over all it was a nice break from the city and we had a wonderful time.

The location is nice. We paid for a day use of the hotel to have lunch and use the pool and access the dead sea. However, the lunch was very average, and the service of the waiters at the restaurant was poor. You had to call them to clear the tables or take your order, and they were very slow. The washroom at the restaurant was also not clean. I did not get value for my money and was a bit disappointed for such a service,

  • 4/5 Timothy J. 11 months ago on Google
Good value option for a stay at the Dead Sea, however the rooms (bathrooms especially) and communal areas are very tired & desperately need some TLC. Breakfast was mediocre at best. We didn’t try the pool areas, but these are appointed in a very basic manner & definitely not up to 5 star standards. The beach was great, and Dead Sea mud is provided for mud baths. Service and staff were however very good. It does the job for a short stay, but I wouldn’t bother spending more than a couple of days here. For a longer stay, spend a little extra and stay at one of the neighboring resorts.

One of the nice hotels in the Dead Sea area. Their swimming pools are quite huge, and they have large rooms. The food is good here, and parking is available both inside and outside the hotel premises. Good for recreation.

Really loved this property. Everything from get go was wonderful. The rooms were nice and cozy with a great outdoor seating opening to a lawn. The rooms were clean and the service was good. The property was very spacious and had a lot of areas where you can take and stroll peacefully. The property also opens up to the sea and the staff managing that part were very friendly. Highly recommend the experience of enjoying the dip in the sea. The food is expensive but considering there was nothing around the area, I wouldn't complain much. A great property with beautiful views and a serene setup. Will definitely visit them again.

My family and I stayed the weekend in Feb. Full board. Main restaurant is Ambrosia. Wide variety of dishes. Buffet. . Pool is warm. Closes at 1700. That was great as it gets cold in Feb. . We asked for extra blankets and we got them delivered in no time. That was impressive. . Kids had a great time at the kids club. There was even a kids swimming pool. . Of course, the staff were great and welcoming. . In short, awesome place to stay as a family.

Not up to the standard of a 5 stars hotel, we booked and confirmed over the phone twice, then when we rocked up, the booking wasn't there. Rebooking took 1 hour with queue time. Syncing information between recitpion and other services is weak. For instance we were told that for covid19 cases we can dine in the room, well the team there wasn't ready for this new situation. Dinning team told me it's better to eat at the restaurant (after a brag about what's available and how to order without a menu, there was an online menu but he didn't want to send the bar code etc ...) Everytime a miscommunication happens they ask "who told U this?" As if I have to have a note book writing down every person's name and what he has told me! Other than this it was cleanish, location is great, the resort is massive and pools are great for kids.

Unfortunately for such a name , the hotel has fallen short Rooms aren’t cleaned probably Floor is messy, blankets have stains , bathroom water temperature adjuster is broken, had to call maintenance for them to get it down to shower surviving temperature. Pools need cleaning, no mini map was handed in such a confusing layout hotel, no wheel accessibility to “pellas “ as they call it ( where rooms are ) Had to carry my baby few steps going in my room or leaving it. ( not very inconvenient but still) Dinner took 45 minutes to get to table ( pre done menu) but to be honest it tasted delicious ( that’s 1 of the stars) No shampoo in shower, no tissue papers in room , had to fix the AC settings my self as we walked in the room after a day long in the sun for a humid no working AC ( but it was on ) No parking was available , had to park on the street as the hotel has shut down the underground parking and left us guests with no parking space ( all spaces by the entrance are full) so we had to leave our car outside in the sun, on the street Hope they work on fixing it, as the name they carry is one of the names that should be recognized worldwide Very disappointed

A wonderful weekend getaway with friends. An amazing place. Clean rooms. The reception was great. High-quality internet services and parking. Many thanks to the night manager, Fares shoqier , whom we met when we arrived at the resort after midnight, who made the stay more wonderful and wonderful.
