This was the highlight of our Vancouver island vacation. We were there at sunset, the only ones on the beach. Watching the waterfalls so close was mesmerizing! The path was easy, with the exception that there are stairs which are of varying heights, this can be tricky to navigate with young children so be mindful! The beach is rocky at the top and sandy when the tide is low
What a hidden gem. The path is very short to the beach maybe 10 minutes. Then if you are faced the water turn left and walk down the beach and you will see the waterfalls. It was a lot of water when I was there so we could climb up and walk back into the woods. Very cute spot.
What a lovely spot! Short hike through dark lush forest to a rocky beach with two waterfalls. When we were there at high tide the surf was very loud due to the sound of the rocks in the surf. A short hike to the left on the beach brings you to the waterfalls. This is a must-see!
Just a 400 meters easy walk from the parking area along Highway 14, this beach has a beautiful twin falls (although not considerably high) that drops directly to the gravelly beach. You can easily climb to the upper stoney crest of the fall and see how the water flows downward, this also serve as a spectacular area to view the Salish sea. This beach also is a mainstream attraction along the west coast of Vancouver Island
A nice and quiet beach filled with pebbles and not sand. Was it quiet because it was a saturday in April ? Not sure. 400 meters small but lovely hike to the beach from the parking lot with stairs. Not wheel chair accessible. And not to miss the cute little waterfalls. Maybe 300-400 meters walk to that waterfall from the point the trail reaches the beach.
Such a nice beach to enjoy and go for a walk. It's about a 400m hike down, some steep stairs but not too bad.
Muddy trail down to the beach but great waterfall you can even walk behind. The forest spirits are watching
June24/2018. At the parking lot we met a very congenial gentleman with the park service taking counts of the number of people using the park. A very small parking lot here and could use more space. He went out of his way to help us get parked.Thank you again.Take care. The trail down to the beach is about 800 meters. The interesting part here is also the trail, very thick with foliage,as this is a rain forest. The trail itself is over roots and rock with stairs. If you come here without rain you have a lucky day for your hike. Once at the beach the high lite of Sandcut,is the falls, which is about 500 meters to the left.Low water you can climb up the ledge behind the falls and explore the creek bed.Have fun and play safe.
