Best Italian Restaurant🍝 in Juba
The food and service were sensational. Wine pairings for the pasta were exquisite and well chilled. Lovely view of the Nile from window booths. Such a wonderful treat. I highly recommend giving it a go
Amazing dishes, wine, drinks selection plus the service is lovely, thank you Feyen and Monica!
I recently stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Juba, and I was impressed by the spacious, modern rooms. The highlight of my stay was the Italian restaurant on the top floor, which was a pleasant surprise. Both the food and wine were excellent—easily one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Africa. If you're in Juba, I highly recommend staying here for its great amenities and top-notch dining.
Best view of Juba and tasty food!
So we went to Bertarelli Ristorante located ont h 13th floor of the Radisson Blu hotel in Juba. Stunning views over the White Nile and Juba. The booths (seating) is comfortable but regrettably a bit too low for the table if you're a short European like me. Tables are elegantly set, and the staff is superb: efficient and friendly. The wine list is quite extensive, with a good selection of wines. The complementary bread basket is a treat, the variety of breads all tasty served with black olive and green olive tapenade (the black olive one ran out in no time), and the cheese sticks delicious. We ordered arancini as a started. While quite tasty, they were a little on the dry side. The spaghetti carbonara and the seafood pesto pasta were very tasty, although the pasta was a little undercooked. The cannoli for dessert was tasty but the filling was not as rich as expected, almost as if the mascarpone was in short supply. The iced honey dessert with seasonal berries was good, although the berries were not fresh. The neighbours ordered the pasta parmiggiano, the preparation of which was fun to watch. The after-lunch espresso was the best we've had in Juba, what a treat! This lunch was a great break from the standard fare you will find across Juba, and we commend the chefs for preparing such a good meal within the constraints of what must be a challenging supply chain for foods. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and the experience, with the exception of the staff, coffee and the view, the food lacked that little 'edge' that would have made the experience worth five stars.
