Wonderful little hostel, the family who own it are just amazing, lovely people! Nice 4-people dorms, very clean and pleasant, three bathrooms, one on each floor , makes for a very comfortable cohabitation. The kitchen is excellently stocked and you get free star fruit every day! Overall wonderful, would book again!

This place has lousy, unfriendly and selfish volunteers, claiming the house as if it is theirs solely. The arrogance and passive aggression of the male German volunteer -- he does not deserve the word volunteer -- I've never experienced, not in 10 years of traveling. Toxicity spreads fast. Not recommended!

We stayed here for one night and let's say that the welcome on arrival wasn't the most enthusiastic. The vibe of this place is chill and relaxed but also doesn't feel the most welcoming or a place where people can come together and get to know each other. Its more suited to those who want to be alone and get some time to yourself, which is, of course important! Although, my experience is only one night. There's no Aircon, but the private room was large and the house in general is old fashioned and pretty. We decided to stay somewhere else, not due to this place being bad but because we wanted to be closer to the sea. Overall an ok stay.

I am sitting on the toilet writing this review, with sweat pouring off of me. Not that my private room has AC, but it does have a fan. Why am I an in the bathroom doing my work and this review? Well, it appears the rooms have two prong plugs, so anything modern won't plug in. Like my Laptop. Didn't want to just leave it alone outside all day to charge up! The location is further from things than I like, my taxi driver could not even find it. This is a pretty safe city, but this area concerns me to walk around at night. With the confusing name that rhymes with the other places they own, I would have been screwed had my cell died. Also, I had to pay for two taxi rides because I went to Puerto dreams hostel instead of Casona Puerto Dreams, same owners. Other than the dog and the cat, which are awesome! I am cutting my losses and burning a night, I just booked another place. My taco stand has a few three prong plug ins, why doesnt this dream port hostel have a few too? I plan to be in Puerto for a long time. Anything with port or dream in it will be avoided.

It’s been pleasure to stay in Casona! Julia and her mum are absolutely wonderful and create very family atmosphere in the house. Kitchen is well equipped for the cooking, lots of space to hang out, hammocks and beautiful design. We extended our stay with my boyfriend for almost 5 weeks on and off . Highly recommend ❤️

Best rooms, fans on every bed. Private rooms are also really nice! Everything about this hostel is amazing. I recommend it highly. Cool workers who are polite! What more can you ask for? Viva mexico
