Great place to stay in La Punta.. The staff, especially Ryan and Matti are incredible.. they can't do enough to help.. The owner Erick is a legend too.. Not a party hostel, so stay here for the relaxed vibes, but the parties are never far away.. best of both worlds..

Staying on La Punta is a different type of vibe, but this hostel makes the experience worth it. Not the cheapest área to be in but the kitchen here is well stocked and allows you to save money along the way. The staff is awesome and the place is super clean. They had to do some repairs because a work truck backed into their wall but everyone was helpful and made sure we were comftorable. Thank you.

Super laid-back hostel - beds are good, bathroom was nice, kitchen is decent and the rooftop was a nice place to chill. Definitely a more chilled vibe compared to most other hostels in la punta if that's what you're looking for. Great location too and very chilled staff

I loved the place. We stayed there 2 nights there and it was super cool. The people there are very nice, great vibe and I feel like this place really kept its authentic hostel vibe. The only thing that I really disliked was the dog. I still dont understand why you would keep a verrrry not people friendly dog in a hostel, come on. Everyone get stress when new people arrive, because of that dog. This is coming from someone that loves dogs, i feed all the street dogs back home. But hostel dog should be the nicest, not the dangerous one. All the rest was good! Thank you! 🌴

I stayed for there nights in a private room. It is nice that it is walking distance to La Punta and zicatela beach. However, I had a tough time sleeping since dogs bark at all hours of the night. There also isn’t any environment to foster meeting other travellers. The bedsheet they gave me smelled sweaty and the staff is unfriendly. If I were to redo this part of my trip I’d stay away from the main strip for less noise.

It's a beautiful place with a rooftop view and cafe next door but the rooms are so hot. The staff aren't the nicest, I told them I was staying for 2 nights but they only put 1 night and said the day of the second night they're full which caught me off guard. I had to search all day to get another good place. The prices are high for a hostel, but at least it has a community vibe which is nice.

Great place. It’s only a 2 min walk to beach so you get to see the beautiful sunset every day. The rooms are comfy, and the owners are incredible! You can cook in the shared kitchen, but you can also go to their café “Barrio Café” or to any other restaurant in La Punta - everything is close. Would definitely recommend!

Beautifull place only 2 min walk to the beach with the best roofterrace to see sunsets! The house has all the comforts and it even has a cafe inside to enjoy the best coffee and smoothiebowls in town. Slept like a baby The rooms and dorm have all new matrasses. Also the people working there and owners make you feel at home ! Def recommended !!!

Staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, plus I often saw them working to improve the hostel and keep it clean. I don't often see that at other hostels. Decent common areas and a convenient cafe in the hostel. I stayed at Casa Punta and Hostal Akumal and enjoyed Hostal Akumal more due to the friendly staff!

4 stars because the staff are really nice and helpful, but honestly the private room is so overpriced and may have been the worst 2 nights sleep we had. Not usually an aggy pants but the pillows were so uncomfortable and the road is soo noisy all through the night with construction and trucks etc!!! You also can’t sit on the toilet as the wall is too close to your knees which is an odd one. If I had of paid half the price I would have been a bit more satisfied. Sorry :/

I loved this hostel. The vibe and atmosphere is very friendly, including and nice, the location is great. You are really close to all the bars and shops, but still in a quiet street, and also so close to the beach. The rooftop is nice and windy for lazy afternoons or the morning coffee, and the cafe just downstairs serve the best Oxacha Coffee. Everything is also very clean.

I had a really nice stay, the staff and volunteers were so welcoming, felt really at ease. Also, the place looks beautiful. My favourite place to stay at in La Punta.

Perfect location, great staff! Rooms are cozy and clean. The balcony is great, street and beach view! Family and laid back vibes :) Would love to stay more time! Thanks for a perfect time!

Loved our stay, extended by a night! Perfect location for beach/ food/ bars all accessible on foot, however not exposed to too much noise and late night partying. Cafe attached for convenience. Rooms were clean, cool despite the heat, with lovely garden/rooftop areas to lounge.

Check this review. For the price I paid I have to give it 4-5 stars, though I paid only $8.00 by pre-booking via a booking platform months in advance. Others in my room paid over double, and for the price they paid - I absolutely wouldn't recommend. Location is excellent and staff are fine, though there are serious issues with this place, namely that the WiFi is basically the worst WiFi thus far on this Latin trip. It basically doesn't function in any of the common areas and only sub-par elsewhere. Secondly there is no doorbell so if you happen to lose or leave your key in the hostel and you return (as most people do in a party beach town) after 23:00 you'll have to bang the neighbourhood down to get in....which is unbelievably stupid. It took an hour of the latter for me on one occasion. Further to the negatives they have an untrained aggressive dog lurking around that snaps at half the guests (they even created a sign to warn of such, though why have such a creature in a social space in the first place?). Lastly, there are a lot of mosquitos. Now for the positives: The roof terrace is very lovely indeed, there is a well equipped kitchen and water is free (though they recently placed a water tip jar next to it which is completely cringe) and there is a book swap corner. The overall design is nice and I thought the bathroom was clean and nicely decorated and the room comfortable. For the price I paid, as I said, it is certainly worth it, but anything over $12 I would consider overpriced.
