When your child is sick (visibly very sick) and you take them, you will get told to go home and give then water and tylenol. Then when your child's cold develops into a chest infection, you will get told that they can't help you with a prescription or antibiotic unless you come in again. (Yet another office visit co-pay for them). Meanwhile, your child will be the one who suffers as a result of the office's incompetence. Sad, because we really liked it when we first came here. It's so disheartening to know that when you're worried about your child and want the comfort and help of your pediatrician, that you will not find that reassurance and help. I'll be leaving this same review for their Ft. Myers location since we went there too.

The last 2 years the Estero office has drastically changed. The office staff is extremely unorganized. My child has been seeing Dr Luke McKenna and tho he’s great face to face at well visits anytime I have a health concern he doesn’t seem to want to be bothered. Most recently my family has discovered we have mold in our home and my child and I have been very sick for off and on for two years and he refused to see my child in the office and order any types of testing. I’ve personally have been tested and I am suffering from mold toxicity and have a whole regimen that I have to follow to detox my body that will last a minimum of three months so naturally I would like advice on how to help my child as he is unable to take some of the medication I need and literally the nurse told me the doctor said he will be fine…. This is completely unacceptable!

My son has been a patient here since the day he was born, 10 years. At his 10 year old check up I was told he is under weight and needs to eat more calories throughout the day. The summer camp he going to be attending makes their own meals. I've looked over the menu and my son won't eat most of it. DCF requires a doctors note of you want to bring lunch in for your child. I asked if they could give me a note for this and they said no because he doesn't have any dietary restrictions. If my son doesn't like the food, he won't eat. Island Coast Pediatrics thinks its ok for him to skip meals. The progress that we've been making is useless now because I can't pack him a peanut butter sandwich, fruit, and veggies that he loves. They give me advice on how to get my son to gain some weight but now they won't follow through on their end. I hope my sons next pediatrician is more competent.

The service is horrendous and the staff is ghetto. No manners, professionalism or respect. Impossible to get a hold of anyone, just to make a simple appointment. Watch what information you tell the doctors as you might get a surprise bill in the mail for "extended office visit" on a conversation you had about your child during their physical. In addition, even tho all my children had physicals, they won't release forms to daycare providers until another appointment is made.

The office staff and doctors are very unprofessional. I have gotten into many arguments with them over my children's care and the billing, mind you I have insurance. One of their doctors even told me when my daughter was just barely over a year old that I needed to stop breastfeeding her as I was just being selfish and there were no benefits to my daughter anymore. I don't know who she thinks she is but her opinions were not asked for and she is dead wrong. I never asked her opinion. She asked if I still was breastfeeding, I said yes, she gave her inappropriate opinion. Not fact. As a doctor you should keep your opinions to yourself. You are paid for professional help and nothing more unless asked. I have had other doctors do similar things but this was the worst. Wish I could find another office that took both of my kids insurances as they have different plans. Avoid this place if at all possible.

Love this place. Every Dr or PA we see is polite, compassionate and engages the child in their own care. They treat the kids with respect and get them involved; making their visit about them, WITH them. They never talk AT them. They encourage interaction and will fully engage in the excited ramblings of a child and seamlessly transition into the exam without skipping a beat or changing the topic. They are all so good with kids. No more whining about going to the Dr. They aren't worried anymore. They aren't scared. They know what to expect and "feel" the safe place from the moment they arrive. They listen to the parent's concerns and respond accordingly. They provide resources if needed and walk through the concern with you. If you're a "why" person like me, you know how important this is. I want to know what to look for and need a timeline. No matter what the question is, whether it's mine or one of the kid's, we always walk out with relief, comfort and a plan.

My daughter is 10 years old and she has been coming here since she was six months. We saw Dr. Mckenna Senior and now Dr. Bruno is our regular doctor. Both Dr. Martin Mckenna and Dr. Bruno are wonderful. The nurses, the staff, and all the doctors are interested in my daughter’s health and help me take steps to keep her healthy. I’ve read a couple bad reviews and I was just in disbelief. I understand people have off days. But I’ve never had an experience at Island Coast that made me think that I couldn’t trust them with my daughter’s health. I really truly wouldn’t go anywhere else! We especially love Dr. Bruno; she is really the best!

I had a wonderful experience when I brought my 18 month old to see Dr. Bruno. She made sure my concerns were taken care of and went above and beyond to make sure everything needed to be done for my son. The nurse as well was wonderful with my son! My entire experience was just what a mother hopes for.

I would not trust my children's health care with anyone else. All the doctors are amazing. They have always been available when my kids needed emergency care. I highly recommend them if you are searching for an amazing pediatrician group.

The facility is clean and the Doctors are very knowledgeable. They take time to assuage your concerns and educate you on what is happening to your child and what to expect.

Office staff is kind and helpful. Absolutely love all the nurses, everyone is so good and handles her carefully our daughter she is 4 months, we have been here since she was born. We have always seen the PA Terry and just absolutely love her. She eased all of my and husbands fears from the first appointment. I was experiencing PPD and PPA and Terry was patient and was kind she has always been super proactive in my daughter’s treatment. And although we only see Martin McKenna one time. He was great too! I know taking our daughter here is in her best interest and will keep her healthy for years to come. Finding a pediatrician is scary but for any moms looking try ICP, and request Dr McKenna or Terry!! But we go here primarily for the PA :) Thank you Island Coast Pediatrics.

Most of the Doctors/Nurses are absolutely wonderful! They take great care of my daughter when we go. However, there has been a few instances with one specific doctor that I do not care for. We no longer see this Doctor in the practice and so far, every other Doctor has been fantastic!

I have an infant daughter so we see her doctor quite a bit. Every time I come to the office I am greeted with smiles and a welcoming attitude. We never wait long either! We have seen each provider at the Estero office and all of them are great. I am a new mom and have never felt inadequate or rushed by any of the providers when I have questions or concerns. They are so knowledgeable and comforting. We're very happy with this practice!

The worst office ever , very rude staff and supervisors !! I was calling them for 2 hours for an emergency visit for my sick child and nobody answered the phone !! And when i went for another provider just for an emergency visit they transfered me out without even telling me . Such a bad experience with this rude and disrespectful office !! Do yourself a favor and find a professional office that will treat you right and that will care about you and your child because this one doesn’t !! They will just talk about some policies with you that doesn’t make sense !!!

I had a great experience with Island Coast Pediatrics. They got me in the same day I needed an appointment for my child, and they were extremely flexible and willing to work with my schedule. The nurses were prompt and polite. The Dr. was really great with my child. Made going to the doctor fun and easy with a great outcome. I would highly recommend them.

Dr. McKenna and his staff are fantastic!! From the moment I walk in until we are checking out, the staff and the nurses are friendly, compassionate and very helpful. Dr. McKenna is kind, patient and speaks to my children directly when he is treating them so they always feel comfortable and important. He never rushes and will answer all of my questions so I can leave with confidence and understanding regarding the reasons for our visit. Honestly, we are very lucky to have such an amazing doctor and staff looking over our little ones. Also, we have seen the other doctors in the practice and they are wonderful too. I really can't say enough about Island Coast Pediatrics!!
