The Place to Remember!!! We stayed last week in Sea view room, i booked it for Garden and upgraded to Sea view. Thanks to Cherry to make our day special, check in was smooth with not all the information but it was very quick and good. Pool needed to be open bit little more time as we couldn’t enjoy much. Staffs are really good and very polite when you ask anything but no on time response. Overall it was a very good stay as we enjoyed very much. Hopefully we will be back soon. Inshallah

Okay experience, needs improvement. Good: Most of the staff are friendly except for few. They go extra mile to make you happy. Beach is close by and you can visit in the evenings. Swimming pool is well maintained. Front desk staff are polite and friendly. Needs improvement: Swimming pool timings are very odd for summer. It opens at 8 AM and available till 6 PM where UV radiation is high. In room dining experience is very bad. You order something and you get something else. Even quality is poor. Being a vegetarian, not many options are available. There is mini golf for kids but there is no maintenance. Zip line is not working. Overall, it is not not worst experience but definitely not wow as well for the amount you spend.

We enjoyed our weekend stay in this resort as we booked sea view room. It was a pleasant experience and good variety in breakfast buffet. For vegetarian limited options available during dinner. The room furniture needs replacement as it looks toned down.

One of the best hotels I have ever been to during an all-inclusive holiday. Every morning we are greeted by smiling hotel staff. You can feel really nice and special. Large, spacious rooms with a comfortable bed and a beautiful view of the sea. The rooms were cleaned every day, towels were changed and mineral water was replenished. Food excellent. A wide selection of dishes for everyone. Themed dinners such as Italian, Arabic or Indian cuisine are a great idea. Clean and well-kept beach. You can choose from deckchairs on the sand, grass under palm trees or in comfortable cabanas. It was wonderful for us to be guests in such a unique place.

Just had a wonderful stay at this very relaxing resort. Wonderful staff throughout all departments who are always willing to help. There is a room for a few improvements. The hallway carpet has a very musty smell and the rooms although very clean could do with the furniture updating. The last point, most of the hot food in the main restaurant was not up to temperature and some dishes were nearly cold. That said, we had an amazing experienced and the above points didnt detract from a lovely weekend and we look forward to visiting again later in the year.

The hotel food, at the cozy restaurant has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious dishes, beautiful presentation. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. The place is great! The team is friendly. Darren Suttie – Director F&B, who, at short notice, offered us to prepare pure vegetarian dishes, which were prepared by Chef Andre Jones, the meal, offered with varieties of vegetarian food, it has scrumptious menus with smiley service” The chef is so humble to make the dishes as per your needs and wants.

Excellent resort just 45 mins from Muscat Airport. Food was fresh, and themed nights, Asian, Arabic, Italian, and BBQ outside. Rooms are spacious and clean. We had a sea facing room with super king and shower. Staff are attentive and polite in all the outlets. Sea is clear and you can walk out a good way with no sudden drop offs or shelves. Lots of water activities, gym and table tennis, crazy golf...to name a few. It was especially quiet for our stay, which was nice and we literally had a whole pool to ourselves for 2 days. Obviously busier Fri/Sat and we had the pleasure of seeing the hotel host the Arabic international sailing championships...so lots of gazing out to sea and watching the sailing and windsurfers....

Amazing sea veiw from the rooms..Rooms are clean and neat.. Boat riding, kayak, snorkeling and other water games available here. Apart from that spacious swimming pools are there for kids as well as adults to enjoy. Best part is the buffet provided at breakfast and dinner with a wide range of varieties of food .. cuisines at its best with quality ingredients..no compromise for taste. Hospitality of staff is appreciatable. Warm holiday mood just go by the atmosphere..

Don’t bother calling their number because they will never answer your call. Some electrical items aren’t clean so demand another one don’t just ask them to clean it. Ensure your room phone is working or you will end up walking to the reception every time you need help. Bring your own baby food because they don’t provide it. Make sure everything is working in the toilets or you know what will happen.

Great place! Very well located with private Beach. Rooms are massive and very well equipped. Food is a bit limited, but it's tasty, and there is always something to get your belly full. I highly recommend.

The hotel is wonderful, the staff is super friendly, take care of every detail. Never before I heard so many questions if everything is fine :) Rooms are clean and spacious. Food is delicious and truly diverse - you cannot be fed up with any type of food, as every day something different is served. Waitresses are super kind, especially Divash responsible for tables on the terrace. There are some trips available via travel office, however close by the hotel there's nothing really interesting. You have to go 90km to Muscat or further for some interesting places.

PROS - The place is very nice and calm and the rooms (apartments) are huge and fairly clean and lit. The service was good and sea view was was awesome from balcony. The breakfast buffet was too good with every culture food added and it was quite tasty too! CONS - the food was TERRIBLE! We ordered dinner from the menu - grilled platter with vegetables and fish and chips. The grilled platter not only being priced very high for the quantity given, the grill was very dry and chewy. I barely could chew beef grill and had to spit it out. Was very disappointed seeing the quantity and even worse the vegetables was just boiled cauliflower and carrots!( was too tired to tell them to take it back because we were too famished and hungry so had no choice than to eat it!). Had a little bit of hope on fish and chips and Fish was tasting like too fishy! Thankfully chips was good but again too much oil was there. So overall we paid a high price for our dinner for nothing. Please improve your quantity and the look of the food being served. It's sad that you have good breakfast buffet but horrible menu hotel food.

We spent our holidays in this resort and we had a great experience. Our check in was smooth, the room was good and spacious as well as the bathroom. Activities are limited. There is a restaurant around if you dont want to have the buffet dinner. The pool can be very crowded during the day but in the evening it turns peaceful and it was a pleasant experience to swim in their infinity pool with the sunset as the view. For breakfast, there were limited options and if you want to have some peace while having it, try to get it early.

We had a wonderful stay at this property. Great location and very relaxing environment. The food and services are great. The staffs at pool bar and Azure Are very friendly and accommodating. Mr Dharmika made sure to inquire our experience all the time when we were there and suggested some great cocktails. We will be definitely come back next year.

Excellent stay!! Polite staffs, very friendly manner, Food needed some improvements in Buffet. Check in was smooth and no delay in getting the rooms, but we could’ve given more time to check out. Many things to enjoy, but we didn’t have time, Inshalllah we will be back soon to stay more days and enjoy.

Good place to relax with family. Room quality need improvement. Most of furniture old and poor appearance. Feel we checked in to 3 star grade hotel. Huge service difference compare with my previous stay and present. Service need to be improved most of area including room cleaning and hygiene concerns. Everyday have to call housekeeping to top up tea, milk, water etc.. Swimming pool is well maintained and excellent service by Issam & team. Dining experience not really pleasant. Specially lunch…since reservation for full board for 5 days stay and lunch will served very limited set menu option. This is need to improve and even 3 star will serve better. If no further improvements, we have to choose different options.

My stay at this hotel was like a journey to a wonderland where every day was full of surprises and laughter. From the very beginning, we were greeted by the staff (special greetings to Mr. Mohamed )with a smile as wide as a rainbow, ready to fulfill our every wish (and even those we didn't know about yet).The room was comfortable, like a cloud to sleep in, and the view from the window impressed even the most demanding aesthetes. Even though I had a room with a view of the city! As for the food, it can be said that the chefs in this place are real culinary wizards. Every day we served dishes that delighted our taste buds. The waiters are real wizards, including one very nice Mr. Divash. To sum up, this hotel is not just a place on the map. It is an oasis of pleasure, a land of smiles and one of those places where life tastes better than chocolate. If you are planning a holiday full of laughter, relaxation and unforgettable moments, this hotel is the perfect choice!

Everything was amazing. We really enjoy all the facilities and delicious food. We see the big improvement with the new management. Special thanks to Mr. Charles for his hospitality. The new aquapark will add a great value. Looking forward to visiting it again shortly.

although the days spent at the Barcelo Mussanah resort were very few, the experience was intense both for the variety of sporting and marine activities offered and for the quality of the service and the constant care of customers. Excellent catering, large and spacious rooms, exceptional cleanliness and brilliant entertainment. Staff always friendly and prepared. with the Reception attentive and available to meet customer needs. A special thanks to C. Kurban who assisted us in every way from the presentation to the departure for which he did his utmost to overcome the transfer difficulties resulting from inconvenient flight times. Certainly on the occasion of the next visit to explore the South of 'Oman we will not miss the pleasure of enjoying a few days of relaxation and entertainment again at the Barcelo Mussanah

Fantastic hotel! Very friendly staff and extremely welcoming. Facilities are excellent and the all inclusive package is brilliant. I cannot fault anything about this place. I found the staff so friendly and they made sure everything was okay. Highly recommend the excursions on offer.

Stunning resort with phenomenal food. I met the Chef Premlad (hope I wrote that right!) who was very friendly, as all the other staff. Me and my wife spent our end of year vacation here for a week and Oman is clearly a hidden gem that deserves every bit of praise. The people are wonderful, the natural treasures beautiful. I am looking forward to coming here again. I cannot but recommend enough.

Its the best place to go for weekend gateway. Just 1 hour from Muscat. Located on the sea side. At the reception the Manager Mr Charles is a delight to talk to. He was very cooperative and even gave late checkout as hotel was not that full. The rooms are big and comfortable. Balconies have really good view of the city or the sea. A small fridge, towels, big bed. Balcony with chairs, TV etc The best part is extra activities. 4 big swimming pools with temperature control 1 small toddlers pool 1 new kids water park. 1 water park with slides for adults. The life guards there are good. Mr Assam was constantly looking at out safety. Provision to sit neat beach , bean bags, chairs. The food variety is really good, tasty. People at the buffet are always ready to help and serve. Food taste is really good. Dinner and breakfast has amazing variety. Sports ,there are badminton rackets and net Table tennis, Cycles to go around Water sports, jet ski, kayaking Bathrooms everywhere, so convenient. Changing rooms close to swimming pool. We went 2 times and can't wait to go again.

Unfortunately, the view from our room was the only good feature of our allocated room. The rooms are in a desperate need of an upgrade, we had a foul smell in the bathroom and the room had serious wear and tear issues. The hotel breakfast and dinner was delicious and the service was 10/10. The outdoor activities were varied and fun. With a renovation and upkeep of rooms, I’d be happy to update my review.

We stayed for a week in this beautiful resort. Special thanks to Sheila from front office. Since we arrived, she greeted and welcomed us very well. She made sure that the room met our expectations and offered if we need any assistance during our stay. It was our first time in Oman, so she gave us a lot of info & recommendations. She offered the trip from the hotel, and we're happy that we joined. She is always ready to help us and her top notch services made our stay remarkable! Room is incredible spacious with beautiful sea view and comfortable. Cuisine change everyday. They served wide variety and tasty. It was good for us because we stayed long here. 3 big pools are heated. It's beyond our expectations, we enjoyed it! There are a lot of fun activities in this resort since 10:30 to midnight. The best thing in the place is the staff, they are so friendly and kind I felt I’m at home and didn’t want to leave them. The resort is perfect for enjoying sports, we tried the kayak and the water park. The food in Almaydan restaurant is delicious, one of the best chefs are there. Thanks to all people working there we enjoyed the stay and will definitely come back again !

My visit number 4 I think. Before it was managed by different company. In general - rooms ale big, a little outdated. Other facilities are fine. There is a lot to do for families with children during weekend stay. Swimming pool, gym, water games, sailing etc. It is still close to main Oman attractions. Team working in the hotel is great. They would assist you if needed... great to stay there...

Stuff wasn’t helpful near the swimming pool even the sales executive. Most of kids playing areas damage. Family Swimming area no shade. I ask stuff and the sales executive to bring umbrellas but no help . Swimming pool not heated. Kids didn’t enjoy this time I was regular guest for last six year.

We have just returned from a wonderful stay at this hotel. The hotel is very peaceful but also family friendly - perfect if you are looking to recharge your batteries as we were. The staff could not have been more polite, accommodating and attentive. Food was fantastic and the hotel itself is very comfortable. They suffered a bit with the cyclone and a few areas are still being repaired - the zip wire and aqua park we’re out of action - but it didn’t spoil our stay. It’s worth noting it’s a good hour or more drive from Muscat. We hired a car for a few days - which you can organise at the hotel - well worth doing. A huge thank you to everyone there who made us so welcome and looked after us so well.

The resort location is excellent out of traffic and easy to access, the receptionist was very friendly, the check-in was very smooth. Diner staff was great, friendly and helpful however the dinner selection was good but still need to improve. The atmosphere of the hotel very nice I would recommend the people to stay if they are looking for relaxing and peaceful environment. Overall It was excellent experience.

A super place for relaxing and fun with friends and family. Nice view, super beach with loads of sea shells, boating facility, swimming pool for kids and adults. The staff are friendly and comfortable with guests. The only thing which i felt a bit off was the food, didn't have enough options according to the rate. Rest every thing was super.

we had a large room with a wonderful view of the small port. The food was varied and tasted good. The 5 swimming pools were clean, large and perfect for our vacation. The natural beach with the many shells and hermit crabs was unique and adventurous. Just a wonderful short vacation

We had a lunch with the family at the resort today. Lots of options. The staff is very friendly and offered more options with us being vegetarian. Mr. Francis in particular Was very friendly and offered coffee at the end of our lunch. Enjoyed !🌹

It was a good short break for couple of nights with the family. First class to the F&B & culinary teams for striving hard to cope up the high occupancy. Wonderful stay in this resort where calm and serenity are provided everyday. Oman is the house to one of the best true and respectful behavior, and this one represent it brilliantly as a sincere example. Big thanks to all the staff that contributes daily to create and make the best experience for relaxation.

Nice place and views but the service is poor. Buffet choices are average. Limited activities. Sports areas are abandoned, needs more care. Gets very dark at night, lights are kept off. Had to call to switch on tennis court lights, slow response. Rooms weren't ready on time. Lots of work needed, not planning to revisit again. Not recommended, Muscat resorts are better.

Resort is located at beautiful & calm place. Rooms were clean & Room service was good. Swimming pools were clean & well maintained. Room view was very good. Only one staff was there for water sport activities. So we couldn't go for water sports activities .we enjoyed lot, this is the perfect place for relaxing & holidays . Food was awesome & chefs & Dining staff were friendly & great 👍 l would recommend to my friends & colleagues this resort is the perfect place for holidays

Locate near to the beach. The resort has full facilities ie cafe, pool, and etc. During evening time, there are many activities around the beach as well. Very lively at night. Recommended for a short gateway outside of Muscat

We have just returned from this amazing hotel and we really had a good time. The staff was so welcoming and helpful. All the things were great the food the pool the zipline the rooms the atmosphere the scenery. It was really great and I do recommend a restaurant named Azure over there just excellent food I would rate that restaurant a 5/5. The only drawback over there was that the staff were really less so would like if they would fix that problem. But had a great time and hope to come soon again with the problem fixed

I have a very best experience with the service and also for the worker's they are very friendly and the management as well they're very accommodating to ours. But one thing I only want you to make it improve is the cleanliness. But all and all you have a great place I love it. Me and my friends will comeback soon to stay longer vacation. We had a lovely Vacation. The Staff was super friendly, the food was delicious. Gym and Massage was great too. The Hotel has many Bars/ Restaurants and fun facilities like kayak, zip lining and a diving center. 1 Star less because the Hotel definitely needs some maintenance here and there.

Excellent location the staff is excellent and very helpful I had a 24 days stay felt like home. The food is great the way it was presented and always ready to serve. I would give a big complement to the kitchen staff for making sure the food is at its best. I will be waiting for my next visit. Excellent service by all team members although it was a busy weekend. Waited sometime for check-in but we were offered a free upgrade by the manager with a polite apology for the delay, which was very professional. Hotel is spacious and plenty of space for kids to play around. Perfect weekend getaway & we would return very soon.

I have booked 13 rooms for friends, we had a great time staying in this hotel… Breakfast is great, with a lot of varieties and with new dishes daily. Hotel generally clean. Rooms are big, staff responsible and friendly, specially a lady called Lyn whom is incharge for jet-ski. Dinner buffet was amazing and we have enjoyed having kebabs and steak…

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! This was our 4th stay here and by far we're enjoying it. The Receptionist(especially at the Apartment building) was very accommodating and considerate. The staff/waiters are very guest-friendly. The poolside staff was very helpful. They assisted us with pool benches despite a full-house weekend.

So starting from beginning. For sure the greatest thing in hotel is stuff. Everybody is very friendly and helpful. Room are not very new and could be renovated but for sure they are clean. Food is also pretty good. Most disadvantages is about infrastructure there could be more deckchair on pool and beach. Also not everybody wants to sit at eventing at pool bar where is loud and dark. Some lobby bar will be much better. But despite that hotel is ok and I could recommend it. Could be also some animations at night.

Unfortunately, the Barcelo Mussanah Resort has opened up to low-budget package tourists from Poland and Czech Republic, thereby sacrificing its exclusivity. The hotel is not recommended for travelers who are looking for relaxing in a luxury resort. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are each offered as a buffet, the quality has been adapted to low-budget guests. The rooms are shabby due the high turnover of guests and no longer meet the requirements of a luxury resort. The exceptionally friendly staff deserves a positive mention! Special thanks to Ms Lyn from "The Desk Bar & Lounge" and Mr Jibin and Mr Vaishakh from "Azure Restaurant". Their friendliness, attention and appreciation made every day something special - many thanks to these wonderful people! I will keep you in my mind and in my heart!

Resort is good and well mainatained. Rooms are excellent especially sea view rooms are splendid. However, need to improve the room service. Children games are not found as they informed us renovation is in process. In a nutshell, it is good to visit with family to have a fun time. Thank you

Jibin is very nice, sweet and helpful. Francis is very nice too. Spending time in this restaurant is worth it.
