Not an authentic Puerto Rican restaurant. We tried their alcapurias and it was lacking salt and meat. The mofongo is overwhelmed with garlic, the caldo had olives real Puerto Ricans DON’T put that in. Decided to give it a second chance since a year ago I went after they renovated. 1st experience was bad slow service asked the waitress question regarding the menu she only laughed and mocked at us but we decided to eat anyways we ordered some bacalaitos and they came soggy also ordered some mofongo with lechón and the meat was super salty. After craving PR food I went again last week with my family and they were not ready for Mother’s Day weekend when we came in nobody seated us we sat ourselves since they didn’t show no interest on getting a table for our group of 5. We sat down the waiter comes in asks if we want anything to drink we said ordered after 30mins or more the appetizers came in a mix keep in mind it’s only 1 of each (bacalaito, alcapurria, carne frita, relleno de papa y madruros) MINI for 14 dollars and super burnt so we requested a new one cause we couldn’t eat that. In the meantime waiter comes again and asks us if we are ready to order we told her individually what we wanted but she seems to hate her job with the worst attitude in world like if she was annoyed to be there after reading the order back to us she wrote the orders wrong so I told her that it was incorrect she just comes and rolls her eyes like she was possessed and seem to not understand so I told her to move over so she can listen better since they got the music so high you can’t even have a conversation so she comes on near me and I repeat the order and she just has her attitude because she can’t get the order right she says “so you don’t want that” 🙄 I’m like no I clearly told you 3 time it’s 3 mofongo with lechon at this point she’s just with her notepad twisting her mouth and eyes so my mom didn’t take it and requested another waiter since she was so disrespectful took over 20mins to get 2 parcha juice mind you my sister is pregnant no sense of urgency whatsoever. So they changed the waiter for a nice lady that treated us like customer. Sadly to have some good food not great and awful customer service. it and carne frita is way to hard. What really bothered me was that we asked a simple question to the waitress if she given us the correct meat and they just laughed and walked away. The place is remolded it looks way better but the chairs and table could be adjusted or screwed to the floor it just moves everywhere.

It was my first time here with my fiancé, and we thought the food was delicious and the service was good. We ordered tostones and empanadas for appetizers and they were a great start to our meal. They were crispy, fresh and NOT stale ( like some places). We also ordered a lechon dinner and a pork jibarito. The food was seasoned perfectly, arrived hot,and tasted like it was prepared with love in the kitchen. The portions were perfect too. Sometimes it's hit or miss with new places I try, but I was pleasantly surprised with Cafe Rosa. I'm always looking for good Puerto Rican food.

This place has good customer service the atmosophere was a bit to dark for me. The food was just ok i feel that the plantine in the jibarito was a bit under seasoned and bland the meat that was in it was good. The garlic hicama was real good. The pork was real good Over all we payed about 30 bucks which is not bad, but flavors can be better.

The staff is amazing and attentive, as well as kind. The menu is simple and to the point with great selections. Now to the main reason, the food is exquisite and delectable. It arrives hot to your table, the portions are amazing and reasonable an satisfyingly filling without engorging the tummy.

As a native Puerto Rican I was excited to go here. It wasnt super happy w my visit. Upon getting there parking was challenging and it was not a busy time of the day. Then we get there and there are tons of signs on the door of “we don’t do this or that, etc.” which I found to be tacky. 1 sign I get, but so many. Not a good first impression. Then service was not the best. The waiter although nice didn’t know much about the menu. We had to constantly ask for things multiple times to finally get them (salt, napkins, silverware, etc). I asked the waiter if he certain things had pork bc I dont eat pork or raw onions (allergic)and was told no and both pork and raw onions were on one of my dish. I ordered a sampler and it didnt have all the items described on the menu. Ordered a few other appetizers, he completely forgot to bring them to us. Then the main dish I ordered was chicken pinchos which are always made w chicken breast, well these were made with drum sticks which I was disappointed bc it should of said that on the menu. My friend had shrimp and the Shrimp had an odd taste like if they were old Shrimp and they were rubbery. Was the food flavorful? Yes. Was service good? Nope. There was a collection of too many little issues that just made my visit unpleasant. These dishes felt like a non-Puerto Rican that has no clue of what authentic PR food is like, trying to sell PR food. Waiter was polite and decor was nice but Would I return here? Absolutely not.

LOVE THIS AUTHENTIC PUERTO RICAN SPOT ON THE SOUTHWEST SIDE! Must get the Jibbarito con arroz y gandules with xtra garlic sauce made with bistek. Although the portion and the amount of meat has gotten smaller BUT there was still plenty to share for two people!! Haven’t been inside as we usually get it delivered via Grubhub….and love the way they remodeled. Roomier and more decorative! The bistek encebollado is awesome as well! Super tastey! MUST TRY!!!

Was in the neighborhood and ran in for some take out. Service was very fast. Very friendly and accommodating! Best jibarito I've had in a really long time, perfect amount of garlic on top! Chill atmosphere inside with plenty of seating and a bar area Definitely coming back with my family.

Quite little Puerto Rican restaurant with very tasteful food. Probably one of the best Jibarito Sandwich I ever ate. Perfect spot for lunch.

The service was great, but the prices for the food should be a little cheaper if paying for burnt or overcooked food. My friend ordered the bacalaitos and they arrived like burnt orange tortilla chips. What happened to the fish? The food I ordered was ok not like how my Puerto Rican mom cooks. Maybe that's what they need is an old school Puerto Rican mom to cook their food. We also ordered a few mojitos. I had the coconut mojito and it was a blah😝. I couldn't taste any of the coconut in my mojito. Probably 🤔 should use some coconut milk to actually taste the coconut in a coconut mojito? I'll probably go back if their is a different cook on schedule.

Their food is good for being a Southside restaurant and not having to go to the Northside for puerto-rican food. It's tasty and reasonably priced. It's clean, the staff and owner are very pleasant and attentive. The only negative is in the winter there's no barrier by the front door to keep the cold out while your eating. If you don't want to drive to the Northside for puerto-rican food then I recommend this restaurant. You won't regret it.

The food was good. The pork chops were well made and seasoned pretty good. The service was horrible though. The table was dirty. Waitress was bothered when we asked for a rag to wipe it a bit. We were four people but they gave us 3 napkins. The waitress seemed bothered. The restaurant was a pretty hot 🤔

Walked in at 2:30 pm on 8/19/23 paid and had my order taken at 2:34 pm. Did not receive my food until 3:11 pm. I ordered my food to go. One jibarito, 2 alcapurias, 2 papa's rellenas, 2 empanadas. There was a customer who ordered the steak dinner after me who order dine in. They sat down. Got their dinner, packaged their leftovers, and paid all before I got my food. Turns out they made my food and left it on a rack. By the time I got it it was room temperature. The service sucked, the food might have been good had I not had to re heat it. What makes it worse is that they came to ask me what I'm waiting for and said "oh that's all?" Then handed me my room temperature food, no apology, no offer to remake it. They totally killed my vibe on eating Puerto Rican food. I really hope their service improves because bad service and long wait times is what ultimately kills restaurants.
