The
LVR
clinic
may
be
helpful
for
some,
but
there
are
also
plenty
of
bad
experiences
and
serious
re-traumatization.
It
doesn't
work
to
put
the
same
scheme
on
people
with
different
diagnoses.
You
can't
treat
a
person
with
depression
(and,
above
all,
don't
expect
the
same
from
them)
as
people
with
addiction,
personality
disorder,
massive
trauma,
or
psychosis.
A
psychiatric
facility
is
not
a
military
place
where
obedience
determines
life
or
death.
You
don't
have
to
try
to
break
personalities.
But
you
can
help
them
discover
new
ways
or
save
resources
spilled
by
a
toxic
environment.
The
nursing
staff
in
particular
should
be
significantly
better
trained
and
put
aside
their
prejudices,
ultimately
it
is
the
patients
who
experience
most
of
the
time.
Patients
are
welcome
to
be
taken
seriously
and
do
not
have
to
assume
that
they
have
a
diminished
intellectual
deficit
and
deny
them
any
judgment.
There
are
certainly
plenty
of
people
without
any
insight
into
the
illness
and
with
reduced
understanding,
also
due
to
medication.
That
is
probably
the
smaller
part
of
the
run
(but
probably
the
one
that
is
easiest
to
press
into
a
setting).
But
especially
in
psychiatry
there
are
many
highly
intelligent
and
multi-interested
patients
who
have
never
been
able
to
exploit
their
potential
due
to
the
mental
illness
and
the
disease-causing
environment.
Then
being
dismantled
and
trimmed
to
function
by
a
mostly
average
treatment
team
doesn't
make
people
healthy
in
the
long
run.
Approaches
of
aggression
are
no
longer
a
surprise.
This
is
not
a
license.
On
the
contrary:
aggression
and
violence,
no
matter
why,
are
absolutely
unacceptable.
Nevertheless,
the
staff
could
make
themselves
aware
of
what
can
be
done
with
a
stuck
treatment
philosophy
and
prejudices
deeply
rooted
in
the
team.
Unfortunately,
the
institution
of
psychiatry
has
not
yet
been
evaluated
and
is
ultimately
not
flexible
enough.
It
would
be
desirable
if
the
offspring,
especially
generations
X
and
Y,
introduced
more
tolerance
and
a
matter
of
course.
Of
course,
this
is
also
a
social
and
financial
task.
Too
many
prejudices,
resulting
in
shame
and
hiding,
even
after
80
years
too
much
action
T4
with
consequences
up
to
the
late
80s
in
the
mind
(Google
helps
here).
Society
is
making
small
progress.
But
one
has
to
protect
them
carefully
against
new
conservative,
"alternative"
and
turbo-capitalist
tendencies.
Ultimately,
it
is
up
to
each
individual
to
question
whether
something
cannot
be
accepted
that
may
not
correspond
to
their
own
values
and
wishes
(!).
You
have
to
face
your
own
fears
and
triggers.
Everything
has
its
cause,
very
few
patients
in
the
LVR
clinic
are
like
this
because
they
want
to
be
that
way.
The
rooms,
without
exception
all
of
them,
especially
the
sanitary
facilities,
would
also
need
a
basic
renovation,
equipment
should
be
modernized
and
repaired.
Maybe
demolition
and
new
construction
would
be
the
better
option.
Hygiene
questionable,
food:
it
is
a
10
minute
walk
to
Kaufland
...
In
the
context
of
staffing
levels
and
the
benefits
offered
to
potential
new
employees,
it
is
not
to
be
expected
that
this
will
change
in
the
foreseeable
future.
Rather
the
opposite.

Die
LVR
Klinik
mag
für
einige
hilfreich
sein,
es
gibt
aber
auch
reichlich
schlechte
Erfahrungen
und
ernsthafte
re-Traumatisierung.
Es
funktioniert
nicht,
Leuten
mit
unterschiedlichsten
Diagnosen
dasselbe
Schema
überzustülpen.
Man
kann
einen
Menschen
mit
Depressionen
nicht
genauso
behandeln
(und
vor
allem
von
ihnen
nicht
das
gleiche
erwarten)
wie
Menschen
mit
Sucht,
Persönlichkeitsstörung,
massivem
Trauma
oder
Psychose.
Eine
psychiatrische
Einrichtung
ist
kein
militärischer
Ort,
an
dem
Gehorsam
über
Leben
oder
Tod
entscheidet.
Man
muss
nicht
versuchen,
Persönlichkeiten
zu
brechen.
Man
kann
ihnen
aber
helfen,
neue
Wege
zu
entdecken
oder
durch
ein
toxisches
Umfeld
verschüttete
Ressourcen
zu
bergen.
Da
sollte
besonders
das
Pflegepersonal
deutlich
besser
geschult
sein
und
seine
Vorurteile
zurückstellen,
letztlich
sind
sie
es,
die
die
Patienten
die
meiste
Zeit
erleben.
Patienten
darf
man
gerne
ernst
nehmen
und
muss
ihnen
keine
an
Schwachsinn
grenzende
Intelligenzminderung
unterstellen
und
ihnen
jegliche
Urteilsfähigkeit
absprechen.
Es
gibt
sicherlich
reichlich
Leute
ohne
Krankheitseinsicht
und
mit,
auch
medikamentenbedingter,
reduzierter
Auffassungsgabe.
Das
ist
aber
vermutlich
der
geringere
Teil
des
Durchlauf
(aber
vermutlich
der,
der
sich
am
leichtesten
in
ein
Setting
pressen
lässt).
Gerade
aber
in
der
Psychiatrie
gibt's
viele
hochintelligente
und
multi-interessierte
Patienten,
die
ihr
Potential
aufgrund
der
psychischen
Erkrankung
und
des
krank
machenden
Umfelds
nie
ausschöpfen
konnten.
Dann
von
einem
größtenteils
durchschnittlichen
Behandlungsteam
demontiert
und
auf
Funktionieren
getrimmt
zu
werden,
macht
die
Leute
nicht
langfristig
gesund.
Anflüge
von
Aggression
sind
dann
keine
Überraschung
mehr.
Das
ist
kein
Freibrief.
Im
Gegenteil:
Aggression
und
Gewalt,
egal
warum,
sind
absolut
inakzeptabel.
Dennoch
könnte
sich
das
Personal
an
dieser
Stelle
bewusst
machen,
was
man
mit
einer
festgefahrenen
Behandlungsphilosophie
und
ganz
tief
im
Team
verwurzelten
Vorurteilen
anrichten
kann.
Leider
ist
da
die
Institution
Psychiatrie
noch
nicht
evaluiert
und
letztlich
auch
nicht
flexibel
genug.
Es
wäre
wünschenswert,
wenn
der
Nachwuchs,
insbesondere
die
Generationen
X
und
Y,
mehr
Toleranz
und
Selbstverständlichkeit
einbringen.
Das
ist
natürlich
auch
eine
gesamtsellschaftlich-finanzielle
Aufgabe.
Zu
viele
Vorurteile,
daraus
folgend
Scham
und
Verstecken,
noch
nach
80
Jahren
zu
viel
Aktion
T4
mit
Folgen
bis
in
die
späten
80er
Jahre
in
den
Köpfen
(Google
hilft
hierzu).
Kleine
Fortschritte
macht
die
Gesellschaft.
Doch
muss
man
diese
umsichtig
gegenüber
neuen
konservativen,
"alternativen"
und
turbokapitalistischen
Kräfte
Tendenzen
beschützen.
Letztlich
liegt
es
dennoch
an
jedem
Einzelnen,
sich
zu
hinterfragen,
ob
sich
nicht
doch
etwas
akzeptieren
lässt,
das
vielleicht
nicht
den
eigenen
Werten
und
Wünschen
(!)
entspricht.
Den
eigenen
Ängsten
und
Triggern
muss
man
sich
stellen.
Alles
hat
seine
Ursache,
die
wenigsten
Patienten
in
der
LVR
Klinik
sind
so,
weil
sie
so
sein
wollen.
Die
Räume,
ausnahmslos
alle,
besonders
auch
die
sanitären
Einrichtungen,
hätten
auch
mal
eine
Grundsanierung
nötig,
Ausstattung
dürfte
modernisiert
und
repariert
werden.
Vielleicht
wären
Abriss
und
Neubau
die
bessere
Variante.
Hygiene
bedenklich,
Essen:
zu
Kaufland
sind
es
10
Minuten
zu
Fuß...
Im
Rahmen
der
Personaldecke
sowie
den
angebotenen
Benefits
für
potentiell
neue
Mitarbeitende,
ist
auch
nicht
zu
erwarten,
dass
sich
das
in
absehbarer
Zeit
ändert.
Eher
im
Gegenteil.
