Absolutely excellent Hyatt location! Easy to get to on foot from the train station and being on the opposite side of the river- has a great view of the cathedral and the city, especially at night! Easy to walk into the city via the bridge and there is also a nice walking path along the river in front of the hotel. Excellent breakfast with so many amazing options. The rooms were spacious and modern and the hotel staff were all super friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back!!

A lovely hotel with a great location within walking distance of the cathedral and Christmas markets. They had beautiful Christmas decorations and it felt very clean. I was appreciative that they had a gym and pool. The hot tub wasn’t very hot and the pool was pretty cold. I was also shocked that breakfast was quoted at $36/person. That is a ridiculous price to me for breakfast so we opted out. The rooms were also very spacious.

Top hotel room has fantastic window views. The receptionist we met when checked in on 6 Aug was so lovely and helpful. House keeping, concierge service and restaurant staff are all top class . Only thing to improve is breakfast serving staff. Sunday morning`s breakfast all went well. But the waiter we encountered on Monday morning was rather poor, or we were just unlucky that he took our order for tea and coffee but never returned to our table. We had to wait for a long time to be served.

Not sure where to start. I was surprised by how bad this hotel was. Given the name and the chain reputation, i was shocked. 1- Rooms were not clean and old furniture. 2- My room didn’t have a window. Latterly no window and i asked to be put on another room. 3- The receptionist was the most unprofessional i have ever dealt with. My singing in was so bad and no information on so many levels. The moment i got to my room, I received a text from my bank that 200 Euros was deducted aside from what the payed for 4 nights. I went back asking what happened and he said : Oh yes, it is a security deposit!! 4- The rooms were also so dark and i ended up leaving in the morning despite the fact i paid for 4 nights. Moreover, i still didn’t receive back my cancellation fees neither the deposit and this happened on April 17th when i arrived at night. I checked out the morning of April 18th 😡 Never ever again even if it’s for free Bottomline, sleep under a bridge if you have to but my advice would be DONT go there. 5 stars should be ripped one by one 😡

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed! Visited almost 10 years ago and will stay again when I will be in Cologne. Wonderful view if you have rooms looking at the bridge, river and Cologne’ Cathedral. Perfect breakfast with huge selection of food, beverages, cheese, bread, pastry. While you eat your breakfast they clean your room. Amazing. Very short distance to the city centre. Kind personnel. Nice bar and food bar . Thank you for perfect stays

We would like to warn other guests who stay here for the staff members of this hotel. Unfortunately some staff members feel the need to steal deposit money from customers (they ask for a deposit but they don't give you a receipt nor do they put it in the system). When you try to get your deposit back it becomes impossible. We talked to the accountant, a gentleman who is extremely rude and angry. He denied the whole thing and just said they never take deposits!! He refused to watch the security footage of the payment. He promised to call us back but never did. So we tried to call the hotel. But as soon as the people from the reception recognised our voice they hung up on us!! This happened about 9 times and eventually we gave up. We called back the next day, and the guy from the reception who picked up simply told us: "We spoke to our colleague and she denies the allegations. So you have two options, you can either trust me, or I have to put you through to the manager." So we told him to connect us to the manager. We discussed the matter with her, and also urged her to just watch the security footage, since it will show that we paid the deposit. But also she refused vehemently to look at the footage. She called the next day and told us she talked to the receptionist, and she denied she had taken our money and since there was no receipt or excess money in the cash drawer we never maid the payment and hence she could not give us back our deposit. Again we asked her to watch the security footage. She eventually said she would do that. She called us back and told us she couldn't see that we paid the deposit money. It wasn't about the money at this point anymore, but about the fact that we were being called liars and they were stealing from customers and everyone was covering it up. We told her we would put a lawyer on this case and go to the police in order to get the security footage of the payment. She suddenly told us she would watch the footage again but that the "IT-guy" was on holiday for a week so we would hear back from her in a week. I'm not sure why she would need the IT-guy to look at the footage "again" since she was so adamant about the fact that she had watched it carefully and she could not see we made a payment for the deposit. However, only a few hours later she called us back and told us she wanted to give us back our deposit money! No manager in their right mind would view security footage which clearly shows that NO deposit has been made, and STILL decide to "refund" the amount. All of a sudden, as we told them our plans of getting a law firm and the police involved, we were called back and refunded the money within 3 hours! The most bizar thing is we wanted to check in at The Wellem by Hyatt a few days later, and there was a lady who was extremely upset and was pretty much yelling at the reception (the whole team including the security staff was gathered there) that someone from the reception had signed off her package (the person who had delivered the package had told her it was signed off at the reception) and they all denied this had happened. And also she was telling them they should watch the security footage, and they were telling her that no one from the reception had signed it off and there was nothing to see on the security footage. Obviously after seeing this whole scene we decided not to stay there, since it seems like the Hyatt has an overall lying and stealing staff members problem. We tried to highlight this matter to the head office (legal department) in Chicago. We sent them a letter and an email explaining the whole ordeal in detail to make sure other guests are protected and the staff members who are in on this scam get fired. We called them several times and asked them if they could look into this matter. We never got any response back from them so I guess the safety of their customers is of no regard to them.

A great stay for a trip to Cologne. The staff are very friendly and English speaking - they even made my partners 40th birthday extra special. I definitely recommend going for the Dom view rooms to enjoy the sunset. The spa area is also a great area to sneak in a swim, soak or sauna after a day walking around.

Great location just across the bridge from the “Dom”. Comfortable clean and welcoming. It does need a spruce up which I’m thankful to see is going to happen shortly. The buffet breakfast had a vast array of meats cheeses breads danish bakery goods. Plus omelette station and hot meat section. Certainly recommend for short stay or conference meetings.

Wonderful hotel with a great view. The best part was the service. Concierge Carmen and Freddy made the experience truly 5 stars. They were so helpful with our day trip to Düsseldorf. They identified and help purchased a day pass that allowed for all the local trains, rails, and buses. They also help with detail instructions on how to catch the trains (not easy if you don’t speak German). Their planning really made our day trip to Düsseldorf wonderful. Will definitely stay here again and a big thank you to Carmen and Freddy.

We went on a family Christmas trip to cologne and stayed at hayat Regency for 5 days. It's fair to say that it made our trip even more enjoyable. Breakfast was excellent. The restaurant had an amazing view of the river and the cathedral. Rooms were spacious and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. I'd say it's a bit expensive, you save a lot of time and mine for transportation as the location is amazing.

Beautiful view of the church from the hotel. We reserved a church view but we got there and they mentioned that they gave up our room to people staying for a conference so our room was completely dark and had a view of the heater on the other side of the street. Lol. However, once we left our peasant room, the view from outside was delightful. It is also close to the train station so that was convenient.

Rooms are nice, spacious, clean but feel bit pricey for what they are. Swimming pool was cold. Checkout had to wait 25 minutes! Seems lack of staff. Staff did try their hardest and were always professional but not well organised at reception, especially at peak times for checkout one would think they would have more than two people on reception for such a large hotel.

The staff are amazing. The service is good. Location is great, just in front of the Hohenzollern bridge. Room is good, but i give 4 out of 5, cuz the room does not have a good soundproof, we can hear the neighbors tv. But the room have a fantastic view of bridge/river/cathedral and spacious. Breakfast is awesome

We had a very pleasant experience at the hotel. Staff were always smiling and very friendly. Very clean. Plenty facilities like gym, sauna, swimming pool, jacuzzi. Breakfast had a lot of varieties. Only downfall was not enough movies on TV in English 😄

Hyatt has always offered great accommodation, and Hyatt Köln is no exception. The hotel has one of the best locations, the breakfast view is breathtaking. The rooms are spacious and really high quality. They are a little outdated, but it seems they will soon be upgrading the decor. The only negative experience is that you can see a lot of areas with dust. I would suggest them maybe checking out the cleanliness of the common areas , the rooms were quite clean and well preserved.

Oh my gosh, the Hyatt Regency Cologne is a really lovely hotel in Köln, Germany. I recently stayed here with my partner for a short trip of both business + pleasure. He was attending a conference (also located within the hotel) & I had the opportunity to join - I'm sharing on behalf of both of us when I write that I am so glad we stayed here. It was very convenient for him to be here to attend talks & meetings (given the conference location being right in the hotel). For me, the location was perfect - the hotel is nestled in a quiet spot on the Rhine, across from Kölner Dom and the train station. Of note, the views of the Rhine and the cathedral are stunning from this location. To explore Köln, all I had to do was walk across Hohenzollern Bridge each day. There are a couple of places to eat right on the campus of the hotel, but getting into the city to explore and experience the city is very easy. The staff here are SO nice, they were so accommodating and kind. I would absolutely stay here again, we had a great experience!!

Apparently it is going to be remodeled. The room was large but from the models I noticed on the lobby, the new versions would be awesome. The current version of the rooms is somewhat dated. The location is unparalleled. The service was good. The views were super too. Room service is available ~ 24/7 but after a certain time the menu is severely reduced. Objectively, the panini we had was just not good, but given how hungry we were and the time at which it was ordered, it felt marvelously. In contrast, during more regular hours, the food was very good. I tried curry wurst (which was different from the one I am used to but still quite good). My wife had veggie thai something which had vegetables, curry and coconut rice. We also had french fries.

First of all a great location Secondly it is expected in every 5 star hotel the service is 5 stars . The rooms are also good , size vise as well as amenity... Clean as expected The conference center is also good , so is the food . As an Marriott Bonboy Ambassador member who is also life time Platinum I felt home For someone who is not even a very frequent Hyatt customer the service and help I received impressed me a lot If you wonder I mentioned my Marriott Bonboy membership level is to highlight the usual hight quality service I get , for someone who is loyalty wise no one getting this great service just impressed me more Thank you team

Sascha at the concierge made our stay. His service was above & beyond to make the impossible - possible. Hotel has a lovely view & is very conveniently located. Legends bar is excellent & the Glasshouse Sunday buffet brunch is outstanding - but book in advance! Thank you again Sascha! Your an asset to the Hyatt Group

I haven't arrived to the hotel yet, but the booking process... website didn't work, so I had to call directly the desk. It took more than 40 min. and I am not sure still that it is done. Technical problems in the web, different prices by phone because the membership didn't work (also technical problem), they didn't know if they have shuttle or not... super mess.

Room wasn't ready so we were given complimentary drinks in the bar. Then we were given an club upgrade to the top floor overlooking the river. Room was lovely. Brekkie was varied and plentiful. Parking is a problem though, so few spaces and pricey

Perfect hotel. as simple as that. From the service at the reception, to the rooms, to the view from the room (we chose a room with a view of the bridge and Dom) and simply a great location. You can go for a run/walk on the banks of the river and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the place or cross the bridge and reach the city center (it is a short and easy walk). Super recommended.

Stayed here for 6 days. Overall really happy with the service and facilities. The concierge was really helpful with advicing on travel to the airport. Only let down was that one of the saunas was not working when I visited the pool.

Hyatt is conveniently located near Messe, and it is only a five minute walk to the station. You can even walk or take Uber for the main HBF. Cologne is very good for staying, travel by train or taxi or air all across Germany and other other parts of Euorope. The hotel provides a variety of food options along with a good breakfast spread. With small vegan options. Fruits and salads are very fresh. You can walk across the bridge to access more restaurants like Saravana Bhavan and other Indian restaurants. It is about 10 min walk for accessing other side. It is a safe place to stay. Access to Uber and Uber Eats makes it even more convenient. The hotel has very good rooms and good facilities. Provides mini bar, water, and kettle for tea making. Good surroundings and peaceful neighborhood.

This place is enormous. I have an allover super positive and warm memory. The selection of food was absolutely appropriate, but moreover I also liked the service of class and the ambience that was very familiar and highly friendly. People seem to still got smiles in Germany. My baby could come back a third time for ice cream. I liked the way how my child was cherished and the atmosphere was sophisticated and uncomplicated at the same time. It was a pity we had to leave again, made new friends of the haute gamme.

Good hotel, good breakfast only issue is that the rooms are too warm and the windows don’t open. The room was 24’c in December , hard to sleep and there’s nothing you can do about it.

The hotel and location in general are great. It’s a big hotel so expect it to be busy. Staff could be a little friendlier.. the pool is also super small and at a location where you have to walk through the lobby and everyone can see from the outside. There are much better hotels in cologne for a much better price

This hotel does not allow (walking) disabled persons to use their toilet, then quite happily sent these people in need out into the heavily pouring rain. Shame on you!!!

The corridors are full of bags with food to go. Thus, the smell is not pleasent. When booking the room, nor at the checkin we were not told that all the time slots for the use of the swing pool were already booked in advance.

Amazing property, well located in Cologne, especially for the price. Rooms were large and spacious. The hotel is super convenient to Köln Messe and 10 min across the river from the main station. Other than a cancelled train, getting here was a breeze. If you’re spending a weekend, including breakfast in your rate is a wise move, there is not much around open early on weekend mornings plus the buffet spread is well better than average for Germany (full English, pancakes, waffles, 4 egg choices, bread/fruit/cold cuts spread). Most of the restaurant action is on the other side of the river, but there are a couple good options within 5-10 min walking as well. My suggestion, spend the money and splurge on the club floor, the view of the cathedral and river during breakfast are worth the upgrade price.

A family with a young boy and dog. We had a great experience all around. Staff were friendly and all requests by us were met. The location is ideal in Cologne. We are in walking distance of everything and it’s a rare spot with greenery for the dog. Thank you Hyatt!

I was charged for staying there, even though my family and I did not. We showed up after 4 hours of driving and a canceled flight earlier that morning hoping to rest before driving to Amsterdam. There was a festival going on with thousands of people, they informed us that the hotel ha very "limited" parking which seemed to be valet on the curbs upfront, and we would have to figure it out. I had booked it through a 3rd party booking agency which was kind enough to submit a refund request for review. For being under such terrible circumstances I was hopeful for a silver lining. One hour later the 3rd party booking agency called back and let us know that they were unwilling to refund us, we had to pay the full amount, and the free parking that was promised on the website is only available some of the time, but under "special circumstances" like that evening it is not guaranteed! This would have been fine and dandy had they warned customers prior to big events that this may be a problem and paying for your parking of walking 8km may be a reality. Even after the booking agent explained this and asked politely to cancel the booking made 30 minutes prior on the highway because we were exhausted....we were still charged and denied any common decency of even an appology. They still charged us full price, receiving no apology or remorse for the situation. The staff was rude, unhelpful, and unacommodating. Save yourself and find another place to stay. Even under the best of circumstances I could not imagine the service getting any higher than what it already was. AND TO SET THR RECORD STRAIGHT, you are making it seem like it is the 3rd party booking service as to why we did not get a refund for the hotel we did not stay in. For clarification purposes the "3RD PARTY" booking service was willing to refund the booking and sent you a letter on our behalf about the situation to help aid in doing so. It was not there fault you denied the refund request, that was all your company's fault. This was not an appology either, this was simply trying to patch up the holes with explanations on your horrible failure at customer service.

Very lovely service. On the first night, I wasn't too happy with my room as I had been placed into a disabled room, so the bathroom was not what I expected. However after enquiring about other rooms, Fawad was able to place me in another room! Made my stay very much enjoyable!

Hotel with excellent views of the main sights of Cologne. It is very convenient to cross the bridge and come to the center where there are many cafes and shops. The best hotel location in Cologne! It is a very nice hotel and walking distance to main attractions. The rooms were spacious and comfortable and the hotel has everything you could possibility need. Parking cost was outrageous though but I would definitely recommend staying here when in Cologne.
