High recommended for kids and family. Room big enough for family. Also at the reception they have toys for kids to play 24 hours! My son love it. The hotel no room service but the have restaurant and bar. My room is great view. If you don’t want breakfast at the hotel they have a lot of cafe around and good too.

From the first moment I arrived at the hotel, my experience was positive. Parking in the underground lot was easy. Check in was simple and quick, and the employee who helped me was very warm and friendly. My room was clean and modern, and the hotel was very quiet overnight. The breakfast buffet had a lot of good healthy options. I was able to leave my car at the hotel all day after checkout for a flat rate, which was very convenient. Overall, I had a great stay and I will book this hotel again.

Staff were extremely friendly; The location is very good and on-site parking very convenient. The parking spaces were narrow even for European cars, but I understand the need to be able to accommodate the many guests arriving. We saw that the garage was full later in the day, after our arrival. The breakfast was extremely good, with a very large variety of items likely to please most that stay at NOVOTEL. Everything was delicious with the exception of the bacon, which was a bit undercooked and did not taste like good German bacon at all. Warning, the breakfast area, although pretty large, will fill up later in the morning and you will have to wait for some time to be seated. We arrived shortly after 9, but by the time we later, several groups were forced to wait and watch other enjoy the breakfast. Overall, the stay was good with no major negatives that should be included.

The heat wasn't working, it was quite cold in the rooms. A system to suction the steam from bathrooms would be great. Staff was great with us and we received a refund (after we were charged 30 euros for no reason) and tried to look into the heating problem. Rooms were very clean and nice. I like the idea of reducing waste, but the cleaning staff did not check our soap dispensers and we did not have hand soap for 3 out of 4 days of our stay.

The room size is good, the lobby bar is nice, breakfast had a good number of items, and the onsite parking is very convenient. We enjoyed nearly everything...the only downside was that the housekeeping staff seemed to lack attention to detail when preparing our room. When we checked in, we had hardly any toilet paper or hair conditioner in our bathroom and one towel had a hole in it. The room itself was clean but those items seemed to have been overlooked.

For a family you get a queen's size bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed is not long enough for a teenager and is only just wider than a regular single bed. Not ideal for a family with 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Breakfast is legendary though. Worth the expense. High quality and lots of choice. For example 4 types of honey! Hotel has a small gym and sauna too.

Nice stay. rooms are nicely functional and decorated, employees are welcoming and available. Location is nice but some rooms are on a busy road (not a major issue, sound isolation is fine).

Overpriced and average service. 20 minutes walk to most attractions & cafes there are better hotels closer to where the action is. Located on a noisy main road. The rooms look tired & lacked basic requirements, such as enough pillows, cups for tea & coffee, hotel and location information etc. Bathroom was small but okay. The hotel has a nice courtyard area for a drink but there are other places with better ambience.

One good hotel near the center, but it's noisy air conditioning, and at the same time you can't open the window, because the hotel is located along a high traffic road and it will be very noisy.

The rooms were nice but a little bit small, in my opinion. It has a gym on the top floor with an amazing view, and it's one of those hotels that you need your card to press buttons on the lift. Overall, it's a bit pricey, but I still recommend

It was pretty good but the rooms are perfect for 2 people after that the room with extra beds gets conjusted but the room was just amazing 😍 no, the bathroom also had a bath tub which is good plus to it.

Convenient placed nearby historic center. Rooms had full set of usb sockets ( surprisingly lot 😀 ) were clean and quiet.

Super clean. Efficient. Wonderful staff and an amazing buffet breakfast. Pricey, but you get what you pay for.

Hotel was renovated recently. But our bed had already three out of four USB broken. Quite expensive parking 19 euro per day. Great breakfast, worth the money.

Warmly recommend this hotel for a family stay. Our kids loved the mini-playground. The bar and restaurant are very good. Breakfast is plentiful and very tasty. Staff is very nice!

I really like this hotel. It has modern rooms and they are getting new beds soon. The rooms have a decent size, a comfy couch, and a huge screen. The bathroom is modern and offers everything you need. Ask for lotion when checking in because they don't have jt anymore as a standard in the room. I didn't like the blankets as they were harsh and not soft as a blanket should be. Also, the check-in took ages. Dedintly not used to wait at least 10 min in a line to check in, although there was only one person ahead of me.

The hotel has a great location next to the river, walking distance from Duomo and Lindt chocolate museum as well. It is great for families and couples. Clean and the staff is very friendly.

I'm almost always staying here for business travel. Good business hotel, with clean rooms and ok price. Friendly staff, although I regularly stay here, they don't seem to recognise me. But they are very friendly nevertheless. Only the breakfast is overpriced, although it is pretty complete and good, the >20EUR per meal is high.

MY ROOM ONLY OFFERED A VIEW OF SOME OLD SATELLITE DISHES. 😔 - Nice accommodations -- They have spaces for families so it can get a little loud on occasion - Breakfast is a bit expensive but, i you're hungry, you'll find it to be a fair price -- Lots of delicious choices - Loved the Sauna and fitness area - Parking is not included but I loved that the lot is conveniently located under the hotel - The team was very welcoming and helpful - A few blocks from Südstadt -- nice area with great bars, restaurants and small shops -- One of the Cologne Christmas markets is there in the center of Südstadt - You'll have to walk or Taxi to shopping area -- Train is an option but nearest station is till 10 minutes away in Südstadt

From the point of view of a vacationing tourist, this is a good hotel with a fairly convenient location in relation to the city center. Everything is clean and tidy. It takes 20-25 minutes to walk to the central train station.

Very nice, clean and modern hotel in a city with history. First room in our trip to Europe that we (2 parents with adult child) had enough room in one room to finally relax a little and didn't have to overpay. The location was well situated just to start of tourism area so that it was a fairly easy trip to sightsee. Our only complaint was the in-house restaurant had limited seating and turned us away well before closing since they had prepared for one large group. Adding to that there is very little variety of food in the close area (that isn't the hotel fault, just an observation of a limit).

Very happy. Room was spacious, clean and quiet. Location is very good. Parking at premises for 17€/24h seems fair. Didn't try the restaurant, maybe next time.

Hotel was good and clean all good. Nice amendment for Kids and I really like pride flag outside. Just some people at the reception was not really customer focused...

The room was dirty, clean sheets and towels, but dust and dirt on surfaces. We were allowed to take our puppies with us being a dog friendly hotel, and they charged me extra on site (€10). This was not stated anywhere that it was not included in the price though. Otherwise good location, parking was an issue, as we couldn't park in the deep garage being full. We could park in front of the building though next to the main road. It was OK.

I was last weekend in Novotel Köln and i could just say it's totally recommended, their customer service is very friendly, and totally good, they find you solutions and give you good recommendations about the city. The hotel it's very well located with a Covid-19 schnell test just at 5 min walking, it's installations are comfortable and the best of all is that it's a pet friendly hotel. If you come to Köln give it a try and i am totally sure that you will not be disappointed!

Love this hotel! Although for a family of 4 the room is a bit small. The sofa bed is only a few centimetres bigger than a single bed. So my kids were kicking each other all night. But it's a nice and clean hotel with a beautiful play area downstairs.

After getting my breakfast tray with my mask , went back 5-6 mt away while no one was around to get my fork and bread. SABINA very Rudely after warning she swear thinking we don’t know German Except myself all my friends know very well German, we have 7 Room in hotel and everybody hear her.We don’t object warning But swearing , Insulting customer is not acceptable specially for ladies.Thanks for BURCU she listens our complain.Rather than Appologizing she continue not to behave .And started passing by our table Walking like Ostriech and looking arrogantly But Narrow corridor caused us smelling her Bad odor Sweat. Came for the Christmas markets leading a group of 40 persons. We all were super happy. Clean, attractive hotel with all the nessesery amenities, spacious and clean rooms and excellent dinner service. Stephanie at the restaurant was fantastically helpful. Will come again for sure.

Hotel located in a quiet area, but close to the city centre. Rooms are nice and clean, although quite small, even triple room. I was surprised that bathroom was all in plastic (imitation of wall and floor tiles). A bit cheap. Stuff is quite helpful.

I wish all hotels were this good. Easy check-in, Covid certificates required. Underground spacious parking. 2 lifts. Large family bedroom, clean tidy and modern nice bathroom. Kids play area. Outdoor garden seating, no dogs allowed. Dogs aren't allowed in the breakfast bar, but we were given the option to eat in the foyer / bar area with our small dog, which was really nice. The breakfast was the best selection so far of continental and cooked. (Wished they had baked beans 😉) Restaurant still shut due to Covid restrictions. Really lovely stay for sure makes me want to return here.

Nice hotel. 20 a 25 min away walking from the Bahnhoff. 5 mjn with a taxi. Room are clean . Service is wonderfull. Breakfast is top.

Good hotel but a bit of walk to the centre.

The receptionist was angry and really rude when I inquired over a malfunctioning tv. My wife was subsequently yelled at and even threatened to be slapped in the face and be dragged out of the hotel by the same receptionist. My wife was very shaken up and did not want to leave the hotel room alone after the incident, fearing she would meet the receptionist again and that he would indeed injure her. The hotel manager did not seem to comprehend the gravity of the situation the morning after, offering an excuse but siding with the receptionist claiming he could not believe that the receptionist could do something like this. Please stay clear from this hotel!

A little out of the very centre of Cologne so it's quiet, but a short walk from everything. Has an excellent breakfast.

Parking is not free, cost you €17 per day, too much pricy. Would be great if included to the hotel price.

Spent a week visit at this hotel and it was a great visit. Had a room on the city view side of the hotel which was very quiet. I appreciated that the room has a window that allows to be opened for fresh air. The bar restaurant served great tasting food. The breakfast that the hotel has was first class. The hotel is only a 15 to 20 minute walk to the Dom Cathedral. I highly recommend this hotel for a stay.

We stayed here for a long weekend. Good hotel. Very friendly staff. Room was nice and clean. Bit of a walk to the city center, but still walkable (for us). Location is pretty good. Handy to have a parking garage under the hotel to park the car.

Our stay was good. Had issues with the online reservation system - it took 30 mins to check in. Hotel is close to many christmas markets and shopping area. Well connected with public transport. Rooms were clean, eat however Bathroom could have been a bit more spacious. Housekeeping wasnt upto the mark - missing basic needs. Breakfast was european and eleborate. The bar downstairs is not so big. Kids area however is good, can keep kids from age 2-7 entertained for few minutes. Parking is not very large, need to be lucky to find one when hotel has good occupancy!

Very nice business hotel, close to almost everything in Cologne centrum. Washrooms could be best structured, room rates are a bit higher compared to the kind of luxury it provides.

Was a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms. Set in a lovely area close to main city and shops and a small walk from the harbour.
