We had three people staying in a room and they were very hospitable. The man who was cleaning the rooms was very sweet, he waited for us to to leave before cleaning the room and even left us an extra bottle of water. The rooms are very clean. Only downside but not major is that you can hear the church bells if you want to have a sleep in and that can be annoying. Breakfast options very good had a few vegan and plant based options.

Spent a long weekend for the Christmas markets, the whole thing was wonderful. The hotel was clean, comfy and the staff were all friendly and helpful (and spoke great English). The only upset was running out of white bread Monday morning but, as there is a whole selection of breakfast options I was able to make do 😁

What a relief to come back to a hotel after 3 yrs and find it as delightful as it was in 2019! Friendly staff, warm comfortable quiet clean rooms a stones throw from the Cathedral. You might hear the bells, but that just says it's breakfast time!

Outstanding place in the heart of the city ! Extra star for the delicious and extensive breakfast buffet! Spacious junior suites with large bathroom and space to relax and work. These rooms have a tiny side view on the Dom Cathedral and can't be fully opened (those situated on the 7th floor). If you have a third person in the room, don't forget to ask the extra sheets for the sofa bed! ;-) Paid parking area located behind the hotel and through an underground staircase you have automatic direct access to the hotel ground floor. You can use a key card or a digital key on your mobile (ask the reception) for the elevators and rooms. Note: At 7 am sharp you will be awakened by the bells of the Cathedral ! 🤭

Located right downtown nearby the main cathedral. I couldn’t ask for a better room, a better service and an impeccable professionalism from the reception to the breakfast. Courtesy, readiness to assist, good care of the facilities . Strongly recommended a stay here

Great location close to the train station and walking distance to all attractions. Rooms are spacious but starting to feel a bit dated, nothing too concerning. The thermostat doesn’t seem to work properly as it never does what you tell it. Bathrooms don’t match the elegance of the rest of the hotel. The breakfast is amazing. Room service didn’t properly service both our rooms one night, leaving dirty cups, not refilling the tissues and water bottles. Also, the sofa bed is not a pullout sofa bed, it’s just a sofa big enough for an average height person to sleep on.

No early check-in, no upgrades, no executive lounge, and reluctant to give a late check-out without any explanation, then why bother earning my status? Diamond members, please AVOID this location, they value group guests more than their own members. The worst service I’ve ever received, the lady at the reception even pointed at me to “ask” me to check-in with her, and did it again at checkout, is it because I’m an Asian? The only thing I appreciated about this hotel is the girl at the egg station, she was so nice to everyone and smiled all the time.

I’ve stayed in a lot of different Hilton Hotels, in Germany and the US, and the Hilton in Cologne has hands down been my favorite! Great yet quiet downtown location - however finding parking can be a bit challenging but is not impossible. Overall no noise complaints whatsoever. Clean and nice rooms. The beds were so comfortable!!!! The entire hotel was in tip top shape, no visible renovations due. It was clean! The breakfast buffet was huge and delicious. Staff at reception and the restaurant were the friendliest we’ve ever encountered. Will definitely be staying here again for all our future stays in cologne!

Wonderful experience staying in this centrally located hotel. The service was first rate and the breakfast quite extensive. The room was very comfortable. Easily walking distance to the Cathedral, main train station, and many museums.

Great location, good size rooms with all the usual facilities. The air con in our room was VERY noisy, like a lawn mower, so we had to switch it off to sleep, which wasn’t ideal.

This Hilton is in a pretty awesome locación, super central and quiet....at night I never had a problem sleeping and city center as well as central train station in walking distance. Rooms are absolutely outdated and do not justify the brand Hilton for this place....the bathrooms as well. However I'd like to note that the cervical was super nice and professional and everything was clean. The breakfast as always deserves an A+ just as you expect from a Hilton. In this hotel, really just the rooms are outdated and need to be renovated.

Nice, on the second floor not much silence in the rooms. Convenient location, a short walk from the train station, the cathedral and the river. Varied and plentiful breakfast, pleasant bar area.

Very convenient location ( right next to the central train station and the cathedral), comfortable rooms, efficient and friendly hotel service/team! There’s a tipi in the family connecting room which is so sweet! I would definitely recommend it for the family with young children.

The Hilton Köln is a member of the international chain located conveniently near the main station in the city. It is roughly a 10-15 minute walk from trains to reception, which is great for easy check-in overall the hotel is good, if it could use some updates to rooms. The staff are excellent and the breakfast is good as well. If you stay here familiarize yourself with the unusual lift layout, where individual lifts are located in several locations across each floor.

A never again experience. Reservation was altered from their side and we found ourselfs with 3 people and 2 beds. We helped install the extra bed in the room. They tried to charge us 100€ more than we initially booked and although we booked a corner room we were installed in a normal room. No available free tables at breakfast so we stood waiting untill other people were finished.

I have kind of been having a rough week, and decided to impulsively come to Koln, tired as could be but still trying to find a cheap place to stay. Most places were sold out so I was prepared to spend if it was worth it. Decided to walk into Hilton to see if I could get a corporate discount. Had a lovely talk with an Italian man about my story and desperation to find a last minute place to stay. The corporate discount didn't apply to me so I thought I'd explore a bit more (still with suitcases and several bags, mind you.) I asked my new friend if there were any hotels or hostels down the side of the street. He said, 'Nah I don't think there's anything that way, man. (..) Trust me, I've been here for three months'. Instinctively, something told me to check that street out regardless. This wasn't a hidden alley or anything, literally less than 300m away there's a large sign on the side of the building that says 'H O S T E L'. I'm pretty sure you could even see it standing from Hilton. I'm writing this review because, Hilton needs to have some more self-respect for their brand. Don't try and fool your potential consumers in the hopes of a quick buck. I felt disrespected and betrayed after what I thought was a lovely conversation with the man. I returned later to express my feelings. I said "I felt disrespected, and you may genuinely not have known, but it felt a bit scummy to have you so blatantly lie to my face with a smile." - in the hopes that he would (at least) apologize - I get it, corporations make you stick to a script, but they shouldn't be to the extent of screwing over your fellow man. The man very quickly replied to me with a smile - "I have been here for that long and I have provided you with the best information I've got", subsequently implying that it's my problem and nothing to do with him. Bravo, Hilton. I think I'd rather stay on the street than ever visit a Hilton in my life ever again. Disgusting way to treat potential customers. P.S. The new place I'm staying at, the Station hostel just down the street was ~$25 compared to Hilton's $125. Just saying. Lovely place, had great company, great food and great vibes all for less than half of one night at this scummy corporation. P.P.S: You will see in their reply that there isn't a hit of remorse or an apology. Merely words, no actions.

Nice hotel. Good breakfast. Perfect central city location. Issue is that water was only for specific Hilton members for free. I paid more than 160€/night but should pay 6,5€ for room bottle water.

Right beside the train station, very convenient location. The restaurant (in the lobby but probably not a part of the hotel) downstairs was also nice, but they had us signed a disclaimer that the hotel is not responsible for food safety there. That was the first time I ever seen something like that.

As a diamond member I have never been treated as well as I have at this location. Mr. Ahmed went above and beyond making my son and I feel welcome. I will absolutely stay at this location next time I am in the area.

Got in late after a long day. Two women at check in, both waiting on one women. Went to bar restaurant, left after 12 minutes and no acknowledgement of sitting at a table staring at the staff of four who could not handle 4 persons at the bar and 8 tables. Walked out to search for food, but everything we found the kitchen closed at 10 PM. We were given a room in an adjacent building ad far from the front entrance as they possibly could put us. Two minute tour of the whole hotel to get to the room. I will have to look at my Hilton Rewards membership.

Positives: Great service, rooms are spacious and nicely outfitted, quiet, with great blacklut curtains. Great location, central to cologne city center, railway station and cathedral. Very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Super nice staff, ...when responding. Negatives: Lack of hot water: Currently sitting in room waiting for water to get at least Luke warm so I and my family can shower, or at the least, sponge bath. Reception phone line unresponsive: attempts to dial reception were unsuccessful for roughly 30 minutes, before just giving up. With it intermittently being busy, but no option to hold, or the phone simply not being answered. Parking: Parking is sparse, the staff will not inform you if the garage is full, so it was a waste of time to drive down there. Whole lot of people think their cars are special and they need 2 spaces, instead of 1, leaving spaces "open" on the digital board, but no option to fit.

Very nice, good location, clean rooms, good price, only 1 problem: no parking, thats why 4 stars. They have a smal parking space wich is general city parking and its 32 euro a day and it was full. So we had to search for parking for a long time.

We always prefer to stay at Hilton but the customer service was the best we have ever experienced. Everyone was super polite and helpful. Location is great for the price and the breakfast was amazing

One of the best Hilton hotels I have stayed at. The location is a short walk from the hbf with lots of restaurant options around the area. The breakfast was great. I will book this hotel again when in the area.

We recently stayed at the Cologne Hilton and wanted to especially recognize the fine meals we had at the main restaurant (The Pigeon Post). The food was exceptional, with the chef doing a great job of accommodating a special low salt dietary requirement of mine. In particular, however, we want to recognize the service provided by our waiter, Tom Winkelkötter, who not only was instrumental in arranging my dietary accommodation but also provided professional, attentive and courteous service throughout. After a long day, Tom made us feel relaxed and welcomed. Many thanks to Tom and the entire staff at the restaurant!

On arrival, our room, which we upgraded on arrival, smelled of sewer. After complaining at the reception we were moved to another much smaller room, this room despite suffering from bad smells as the initial one had mould stains in the corners of the shower cabinet. The beds and hygiene products - shower gel and shampoo - were not restocked on one of the days despite the room being empty from early that morning. On the final day, there was an issue with the warm water, and I had to have my morning shower at the fitness centre. Despite the politeness of the staff, this was not a positive experience, and I was very disappointed with the service.

Location fantastic less than two minutes to the cathedral and short walk to shops and other places of interest. Hotel was good, room was nice and staff at reception were great. Breakfast although busy, we went at busiest times, was really good, large selection of foods and replenished regularly Downside was the service and the pigeon post bar, very very slow on both occasions we went. the second time we'd waited 10 minutes for someone to serve us so my partner went to the bar where he was told she would be over in a Second to take our order, the bar wasn't particularly busy but after another 10 minutes she still hadn't arrived and we needed to leave for the airport so just left. Just thought they could be a bit more 'on it'.

A great place to stay, nice & central, close to the railway station & the Cathedral. They serve a nice buffet style breakfast to suit everyone. A lovey bar area called Pigeon Post to relax in. It was well worth the money, very friendly staff, I couldn't fault it.

Good hotel to visit the city and the Wheinachtsmarkten! Only 250 meter from the dom with a medium size underground garage! The building used to be a 1950’s post office, Nice architecture! Breakfast was great! Overall good experience!

Hello, Good things: - big rooms (we had king deluxe) - great location, near the Dom and the train station - comfy bed. Negative things: - when we arrived first time in the room, the carpet was not vacumed and it was dust on the foor; - the second day, the beds were untouched (not being made) and when we complained at the front desk, they transmitted the complaint to the housekeeping. In the night when we arrived back from a trip to Bruhl, we found the room cleaned BUT the housekeeping left us a "present" by letting all the windows opened, in the room beeing 14 degrees. - at the restaurant, at breakfast, it's very smelly and after you eat, you can't go out in the same clothes because you turn heads after you (and not in the good way :) ). - the hotel can't block the whole amount of money (for the stay + guarantee) and after a few days to charge another amount (the sum at the checkout). Now I have my account overcharged. The front desk should have kept the money from the initial block and return or block only the amount of money they needed. So again, not fair.

Very accommodating hotel and management - we had a family emergency that required us to change our travel plans suddenly and they were very understanding and helpful. Much appreciated and will visit in the future!

Very pleasant stay. I would like to point out the friendly front desk staff. They were the best, super helpful and accommodating and gave good restaurant recommendations :) The rooms are clean and modern. Book a King Bed room with cathedral view. The surcharge is worth it. :) Huge breakfast buffet and very delicious.
