The bathrooms are super nice just remember to bring .50€ to tip the bathroom lady. Only other bummer is people smoking at the tables but hey it is Europe. The waiters are friendly but they won’t come to your table all the time to check on you- so if you need something like mayo for your potatoes and schnitzel, make sure to flag them down early. Finally, the dessert selection is off the charts. All the cakes look amazing. I had the black forest cake and it was delicious.

This restaurant is right next to Cologne cathedral. It has very nice atmosphere. We tried two different cakes. Both are very nice. But for us, they have a bit more alcohol which is suppressed the cake taste a bit, but ok. I like both of them. Staff is really nice always. Several very nice looking cakes are available, it would be nice to have some signs so you could actually decide while looking, instead of having to ask what every cake is. Was a bit hard to understand when you have several people talking loudly next to you. I chose the cheesecake with poppy seeds. It was fine, but not worth the price . The interiors are very well made, it certainly has a very high opinion of itself. The quality of the food is not quite up there. Our waitress was perhaps having an off day. There was only a smile when a generous (undeserved, but not my dime) tip was offered her after we were done. Toilets will cost you 0,80€ to use. I find that a bit rude, just slap that on the price of the cake or coffee, with quite high prices as it already is, nobody will notice. Their coffee was quite good though. Flavorful aroma and not bitter, nor did it leave you with a bad taste, like cheap coffee can do. The service and price/quality did however. Tourist trap.

A lovely cafe to enjoy traditional dishes with a cathedral view. The cakes are delicious.

Super, very clean, food is perfect, service is very high level, toilet is from another dimension.

Outdated location. From the start we did not feel welcome. They offer tea pots, but we were not allowed to share one, even tough there was enough tea in it for two. Also the cake was blend, soggy and boring. (Waldbeer) For two teapots and a cake we had to pay 21 euro, where the tea was even an ordinary shop teabag. As a topper we had to pay 80 cents to visit the toilet. Reduculous. Sorry please walk a bit further away from the Dom and visit the other coffeeshop I will review way better. Don't go. Ps. Later a couple was placed on a table next to us by a waiter. Then another waiter came at them shouting from a distance with everything that is far away from any form of hospitality. This place needs a serious reorganisation.

I thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Cafe Reichard, nestled next to the cathedral. The strawberry cake was an absolute delight, bursting with delicious flavors. The cafe exudes a charming, well-maintained old-world atmosphere that adds to its unique appeal.

Dieses Café liegt dem Kölner Dom zu Füßen und hat eine sehr gute Kuchen Auswahl. Die Qualität ist Top und sucht in Köln seinesgleichen! Die heiße Schokolade war etwas zu lasch, ebenso der Cappuccino. Der Service war zügig und freundlich. Meiner Meinung nach ist das Café etwas in die Jahre gekommen jedoch gepflegt. Ich kann es empfehlen.
